Gintama is one of the best shows I've ever watched, but it's not for everyone. I've tried recommending it to a couple of my friends, but I feel like they won't enjoy it as much as I did. The main character of the story is a daughter of the generation that thrived in the economic bubble during the 80s in Japan and now the market is collapsed and she doesn't have the skills (or willingness) to get a job. Resonated a lot with the characters, all of them being neets who are straight up otakus. I wish they had a fujoshi though... fujoshis make everything funnier. I like this show a lot. It really embodies the experience of "hating yourself but you work with kids so you need to create a fake persona to deal with them, but at the same time you want them to not get their hopes up in life so you try to teach them about the real life". My tiktok rotten brain just buzzes at its fast pace, I just love it! Also, it's hilarious. I adore this sort of stupid Japanese humor so much! Don't get me started on the characters! This movie is one of the best things I have seen in my life! (As I write this, I have seen it a total of 3 times in a span of half a year). This movie has everything!
