Kurogane no Linebarrels

Kurogane no Linebarrels has a lot of quirky characters and randy humor; beware the boobies in this anime! The Machinas are also semi-organic mecha. Likewise, Maze: Bakunetsu Jikuu is an anime also full of demi-armor (mecha that bonds to their pilots internally), a zany cast, and sexual innuendo. In both anime, the fight scenes are only riveting because the characters are so endearing and fun to watch!

In each anime, the protagonist is an immature and loud-mouthed, yet well-meaning, young boy who grows up and learns to view the world less selfishly after a mysterious girl happens into his life (Kouichi encounters Emi, while Garrod is hired to rescue Tifa). And in both instances, the girls bestow upon them an awesome mobile armor (Kouichi is made a co-Factor of the Linebarrel, and Tifa shows Garrod where to find the long-forgotten Gundam X). Both anime also focus a lot on the characters, and not so much the political warfare of the battling mecha.

Night Head Genesis
add

At the very beginning Night Head Genesis reminded me so much of Weiß kreuz! They share the same ambience, melodrama, and even the artwork styles are similar (although Genesis is much more consistent than poor Weiß). While there are no assassins in Night Head Genesis, both anime do revolve around unique sets of people and professional organizations; for instance, Arc is comparable to Eszett. The plot is carried out in much the same way as the Missions of Weiß - that is to say, with story arcs that are all connected by an overall scheme in the end. The arcs in Genesis are not as action-packed as Weiß, but the fight sequences watch the same. The Genesis brothers reminded me specifically of Aya and Omi from Weiß, but of course there is the feeling of Schwarz about all the characters in Genesis simply by their ESP and desire to alter society with their supernatural gifts. Definitely if you've seen one anime, you'll enjoy the other title.

Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuuchou: Tou
add

Both supernatural anime have similar stories and focus on teenage boys that are destined to fight the Apocalypse. While reserved Kamui Shirou (X) knows of his predetermined fate, sensitive Tatsuma Hiyuu (Tokyo Majin) is unaware, but both of them decide to fight in order to protect their friends - who are also involved in the epic battle to come. Kamui must choose a side and stand with either the Seven Seals or Seven Angels, while Tatsuma's Star of Fate brings him together with others who are destined to side with the Golden Dragon. In Tokyo Majin there is a scene where the Dragons of Heaven and Earth are mentioned as well. They also share comparable dark atmospheres and concepts (death), sleek artwork, and urban fantasy action scenes.

Lunatix
add

Both stories focus on high school students with supernatural powers and complicated relationships. While the kids in Tokyo Majin battle demons, they do at times go up against each other; in Lunatix, it's like an all-out war between those with power. The action sequences in both manga are well-realized, and very thrilling!

More specifically, if you were intrigued by the concept of the Twelve Heavenly Generals in the Martial Fist arc, then you may enjoy the similar group, Weiβ. Both are underground assassin teams that target criminals who escaped the justice of civil law. There's also the same angst-ridden back stories to some of the characters. And if the supernatural element of "Tokyo Majin" excites you, then check out the antagonist group to Weiβ (White), Schwarz (Black) whose members have ESP powers and work in the shadows.
