What a wonderful show, I really love when surprises like this show up.
This anime goes on with such an awesome pace, not too fast nor too slow and there's everything one could possibly ask for in an anime. Character development with superb personalities, great story and plot, amazingly incredible soundtrack and animation and all of this combined with this whole cool universe is the formula for success in my opinion.
Team Yuuji is great to watch as well as Gojou sensei. I just think they should explore more the families of jujutsu sorcerers and the systems involved in selection/progressing. Special mention to Kugisaki as she is
...
an incredibly badass character and extremely fun to watch.
The story is really amazing and I'll definitely watch it all over again in the near future. It progresses in a really satisfying manner and never lets the viewer bored.
Animation and character design are also amazing. Fight scenes look extremely good. The opening/ending themes are really good as well. I've enjoyed most aspects of this series and I think the only thing preventing one to like this masterpiece is the genre. Maybe some get too annoyed by shōnen, but this is one of the best I've watched.

I don’t know what makes an anime good. I was expecting sooooo much more from Steins;Gate that I’m terrible frustrated (not that much) now that I finished it and it is really not all of that. The plot is reaaaaally slow paced, like nothing happens in the first 6 episodes!!! I just kept watching because 1st - people told me it’d get better around 11th episode (!!!!! - it gets better around the 9th) and 2nd - because it’s one of my items for MAL’s annual AWC, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have finished it. The anime’s first impressions are TOTALLY different from what it really
...
is.
I think a truly GOOD show/movie/anime should catch you at least until the third episode - which is already too far away! I find unbearable to have to watch 9 episodes to POSSIBLY like the story and I won’t give it a higher score just because I liked the ending - which I didn’t. Just no.
The inicial plot is super boring and bad developed. I think they were trying to make the public create a emotional bond with the characters, living with them, discovering new things with them, but, honestly, they failed miserably. They could’ve done this in a whole bunch of different ways. The first episode gives you that thirst for mystery, but the following episodes are just a slice of life thing.
The characters are ok, like they stay in the shape the producers gave them to please everyone, there’s not much or any character development to say the least - except for Kyoma. The crazy weirdo main character followed by his perverted sidekick friend and a whole bunch of girls - a cutesy, a whispering girl and a self-empowered one. I really couldn’t see any character progression along the story. To sum up they’re just forgettable characters. I didn’t get involved emotionally with anyone on this, none of them made me relate or love.
The art is average, not too gorgeous nor appalling. It’s an ok show to watch based on its art. I just think they don’t know very well how to explore the backgrounds and scenes on sunlight are too bright. The soundtrack is good and the op is awesome!
The first arc is EXTREMELY BORING, it’s not funny nor mysterious nor fast paced, it’s nothing but a boring slice of life of a middle age guy that thinks he’s being pursued by some ‘organization’. Did I say it was boring? Oh yes, one more time. Boring af. It’s like the producers thought they should explain the beginning of the story in order to make the viewer understand the rest that they got lost in the process and added too little information for a whole lot of episodes. Or they wanted to stay on air for two seasons. Or even they already had a big fanbase on the novel that they didn’t really care that much for the new public. I just don’t know how someone could possibly like these first episodes.
The following episodes, past the first arc, are fine to watch. They definitely weren’t that pain to watch as the first ones. But as some time travelling plots, this one gets a little repetitive. And there were lots of plot holes about the machine. The ending is terribly cliché, something about a happy ending. Nothing unexpected. But the means they used to achieve it were good and explainable.
I had a good time watching it from episode 11th till the end, but to get through the first episodes was a real pain. I just increased my score (which was 4) because they managed somehow to put some emotion on it. This is not a show you should watch if you’re looking for a mysterious anime or a story that has a good developing pace. Far from this. If you like comedic-like or slice of life things you should go for it. I expected more.

I wanted to watch this anime a while ago and when I noticed it was Makoto Shinkai directing it, I thought it would be as astounding as watching Kimi no Na wa (which is by the way an excellent production), but I was painfully wrong.
I just finished watching the whole three episodes and I must tell you: the Netflix synopsis is way more emotional than this whole production. The characters are poorly developed, awfully introduced and the story follows a strange line making very difficult to caught your attention. I'd like to face it as a training piece of work for Makoto.
The scenarios are awesome
...
- again really resembling Kimi no Na wa - but it seems that the same effort wasn't dedicated to the characters as they seem to be part of another anime. The anime doesn't have a memorable soundtrack, but I really liked the final song with the images passing through.
Here's my problem with this whole piece: it doesn't create a bond between the characters and the viewer strong enough for the viewer to be touched by their relationship and the fact they're apart from each other. I think if they showed the good time they spent together in the past, it'd be a lot different, a lot better.
The second episode was the worst for me, as it was very confusing. First they changed the narrator with no previous introduction just to mess up the story line even more. I just understood what was going on by the middle of the episode. Second, Akari is totally forgotten during the whole episode and then briefly showed at the end of the third one. I wonder how was I supposed to like this haha.
Resuming, this is another anime with awesome animation and artwork but with a poor (very poor) story, and zero character development. In other words no enjoyment at all - at least for me.

Kyoukai no Kanata watching experience was waaaay lower than I expected. Stories cannot relay on one single aspect of the whole thing, they must pay attention to every little detail in order to make a great, or at least memorable experience.
The show started amazingly good, with that incredible Akihito's narrative, the awesome rhythm and stunning animation, but somehow they lost it along the way and unfortunately couldn't develop well pretty much anything. Neither the characters nor the plot, not even the side stories. And suddenly it became one...more...episode... A whole pack of cliche with a pinch of good artwork. I think I'd probably wouldn't
...
have finished it, if it didn't only have 12 eps.
The characters are all likable, but there isn't almost any backstory for nobody. Just a few mentions about their parents and stuff and then they decide you'll figure out the rest.
I like shows that make you think, some people might complain on shows that don't deliver all info chewed up to them, but my only problem is when the show doesn't deliver anything at all to you. This one is a great example of how an anime can left SO MANY open ends and unexplained things that make even the most careless people to note.
I kept telling myself past episode three that everything was going to get better if I got through those episodes and that I'd probably love the whole thing as it'd come to an end - as I had seen so many people favoriting Mirai-san and so. But no. It didn't get any better, just worse. I'll probably forget pretty much everything about this show by the end of the month, as it wasn't able to grip me.
For me the worst episode was the tenth. As they only tell the viewer he is not in the wrong episode past 10 minutes.
This is not a bad show, it's just not what it was supposed to be, it isn't what was promised.
And as everything in life that has a bad and a good side, this show is no different. The animation and the whole soundtrack are spectacular. They managed to make a real masterpiece in terms of quality of making an anime, they just couldn't fit the right story into it.
I loved the fight scenes, when Mirai would create that awesome sword of hers and fight everyone. The best moment of the anime, when they managed to put together both animation and sound beautifully good, happened at the end of episode 11. That ending is a real piece of art. Thrilling, emotional, beautiful, awesome.
Another good thing that is worth repeating is that they managed to make almost every character likable. They all have their personalities and are reliable.
To sum up, the thing that got this show down was the big plot hole it has, the poor story - as this is the most important part of any anime, show or movie.

Inuyashiki is a good anime. It is not one of the best, but I think it's worth of your time.
- May contain spoilers -
The story is convincing. It's about 2 men that get exploded by some alien beigns (which should have been more explored) that give them super powers by turning them into machines. So far so good. One of the characters goes to the dark side of the force and the other tries his best to save people. They both have the premisses of 'wanting to feel alive, feel human'. And are well constructed.
The thing I like the most, or at least
...
that got my attention is that they break almost all the patterns seen in animes in general. The main character, the good one, is an old man who nobody cares, not even his family and the evil one is a young, well related and loved high-school boy. I think picking and old man for an action anime is a risk to take, specially if you consider the public. And they show how it doesn't matter where you live or how people treat you, what really matters is who you are (or at least try hard to be), because bad things happen to everyone.
The only clichés happen in the murder or tragedy parts to chock the viewers.
I don't like 3D animations in general and this one specially has a quite poor animation, in the 3D parts it gets even worse. Things are all robotic here - pun intended haha.
Sound is ok, intro is bad, but ending is good. The only thing I didn't like was the seiyuu they picked for the old man, since his voice doesn't sound old. Screamings seem forced as well.
This is a good piece, but is not the one for me. The dark parts seem to shock me too much, I'm very sensitive when it's about psycho murderers.

Just finished watching it. It's not one of the greatest works of all time but it's still pretty good. I first watched wrongly the prequel that was aired after this and didn't like it that much, cause it is way darker than this one.
I like the whole theme of the anime, how mages summon servants to fight amongst them, that's why I was atracted to it, but I think what bothers me the most only happens because of the time the anime was made. The animation and the rhythm of the scenes are pretty lame (the animation was only improved in the last ep). And
...
this for an anime focused on fights, makes me really disappointed. Maybe if I'd watched it in 2006 my opinion would be a lot different.
The highest point of the anime for me is the soundtrack. The musics are awesome. Thrilling scenes with those chants/classical music on the back are incredibly good. The openings and endings are really good as well.
Despite I liked almost all the characters, I don't think the anime did a good job on them, because I felt no connection with anybody. They're all very superficially explored.
But it's a good anime in general and is worth watching.

"music speaks louder than words"
Marvellous.
That's the word that describes this amazing anime. It's such a touching story, you get to know and like every single character that are presented to you. You can feel their fears and know their tastes. They were able to condense such deep stories into only 22 episodes.
** May contain spoilers **
This is a MUST WATCH for any anime fan. The animation is outstanding, the soundtrack is beyond comparations - which should be this way, since it's an anime about music. I loved the four op and endings that the show has.
Actually, all the musics in the anime are incredible, real
...
classics played with real maestry and coordination with the animation. Even from a screen, you feel as if you were there at the concert.
This is not a story just about a teenager romance, is far more than just this.
I don't know if I'd be able to write this when I finished it, because I couldn't stop crying. Seriously, this made me cry through 3 days.
I fell in love with everyone here, specially Kaori. She's such an extraordinary person, she changed so many lives.
It is one of my favorites shows of all time.

Everytime I hear too much about some anime, I get suspicious. Because most of the times it's gonna be nothing compared to the expectations. This time was no different.
Boku no Hero starts with an awesome proposal: create an intire world of superheros! Just this may charm many people - and it even did it to me. I heard about it from my friend: "It's such an amazing show! You're gonna get the chills."
So, I started watching and somehow got to the end. But what I'm trying to say is that the anime doesn't make you want the next chapter ASAP, it is just a
...
show to pass the time. What really bothers me is how they can put really deep and cool characters and at the same time idiotic and boring ones. Among the teachers and the so called 'superheros' there are plenty.
I wish I liked it, so I would be here fighting the haters haha, because I really like superheros, mutants, all kinds of supernatural things. X-men is one of my favorite series. Boku no hero was disappointing to me.
I even started watching the second season, but already dropped.

This is a good anime so far, this is why I'm still watching it. I like the whole world that was created, but the story doesn't seem to convince me. The characters, specially Chise, are very shallow. And her, as the main character, should be a little more explored. EDIT (ep 10): she is finally getting herself more prominent in the narrative - finally! And I also watched the OVA for this series that explores her past much more and explains her future actions.
Another thing that bothers me is that many things are left with no further explanation, I think this is cool to do
...
with a thing or two but every episode you are left with a big question mark about something that happened.
Despite these things that I didn't like, I loved both the opening and ending themes, they're just lovely. The animation, and the world that was created are amazing as well.
I hope it gets better in the next episodes, so I'll come here again and rewrite this review, because I really want to enjoy it.
