Haven't written a review in a while, so might as well get started with one of my favorite mangas within the last 5 years. (NOTICE: Possible spoilers ahead, I type and don't reread most of the time. So spelling errors and possible spoilers ahead.)
Beast Complex by Paru Itagaki is a manga that is both a spin-off (and prequel in some cases?) to Beastars a manga she will go on to make for a few years. Okay, so quick little review. I love Nagabe and their art. I was shocked to even find this book out in public in the US. SO I didn't have to go through more 'sea shanty' troubles to read it. I have to say as this is technically my first yaoi/boy's love story that this is great.
The stories were cute, the characters feel real, and I found the premise of a magic-like fantasy world cool. The only story I didn't end up liking was the one with the bat boys. Since at first, I thought it was going to be brother love, and it made me ...

I genuinely don't feel like typing out how this show completely fell apart in the latter half. Most of my complaints come from Fena. The main character, the star of the show, is the girl with the plan. Oh wait..., she's annoying. Also, the title of the show is kind of a lie. The show is about pirates but all Fena does is be there to be with Yukimaru. She also doesn't;t do much pirate stuff. She just hangs with pirates. I found out about Beastars through a YouTube video by SonicHaXD (I'm sure some of you did as well!) I was immediately drawn in by the art. Some of the art showcased in said video looked pretty nice and along with that were the 'furry' characters. Hear me out, I'm not a furry but god i really liked these characters. The world that they are in, the consequences they face, the racism they face.

Some say that Ex-Arm is one of the worst things to come out of anime since Berserk (2017) but I believe Ex-Arm is the pinacle of animation and is very good. Drugs, sex, betrayal...
I'm kidding it sucks hard. Manga deserved better. AUTHOR deserved better. What do I even say, this anime is the reason why CG anime is super hated. The models look ugly especially for a few characters in later episodes. The only thing keeping this half-way decent is the OP theme which reeks of 4kids so you know. But everything else is bad!
