if you like wrestling, you'll probably enjoy it, even tho they mention the original tiger mask from time to time, you can watch this without prior knowledge of the original series, the story it's not that grade, i'll even say that in some chapters it feels like they lost the plot or the sense of urgency, i loved every minute of it, specially the chapters where they fight in the countryside, my biggest problem with this series it's okada, he gotta be the biggest fraud i've ever seen in an anime, all that glacing about being the njpw heavyweight champion, and just one or two
...
victory on screen, the rest of his match are either offscreen or him losing, i swer , i have more memories of ryu the jobber winning and fighting more on screen than the supposedly champion , i hate him, what a fraud

If inazuma eleven it's the to go super stupid sport anime with a lot of heart and charm, then this is like the total oposite, and i don't know how many times i've seen characters designed by Rui Komatsuzaki, and i still don't find them appealing, i don't know what it is, but they don't click with me, and add to that super corny and cringy dialogue and i'm gonna dislike them even more. And what it's the point of adding baseball if mid match it turns into a fuckin free for all, you can remove the baseball and i don't think anything would change,
...
this literally could be a generic battle anime. The animation it's good most of the time, but the some characters look weird, aoyama it's the one that comes to mind, he looks off most of the time, i think his hair might be the problem, because komatsuzaki can't draw a character with normal hair even if his life depends on it, and one last thing, 12 episodes anime shouldn't be allowed to kill characters, specially this kind of anime, because it feels funny of how sudden and outta nowhere that it is, and how the characters try to be sad and gloomy, but the anime it's short so the plot has to keep moving, so they grieve for like a couple of minutes and move on, funniest shit i've seen, and one last thing, the soundtrack fuckin slaps, specially in the last two chapters, i'll probably end up adding some of the songs to my playlist because they went hard

i was so ready to hate on this, and after 4 chapters i was calling it "mob psycho if it was writed by a 15 YO that only consumes BL", but i kept watching because i was interested in the paranormal aspect of the series, and i'm glad i did, because i enjoyed the rest of this, but man , for context i've never seen nor i'm interested in watch a BL Anime, so i started watching this not knowing that, and i cringed at the fan fic/doujin level of dialogue this had, i was ready to call it, and leave it after one episode,
...
but my sister told me, let's give it a try, maybe they tone down the next chapter, they didn't tone it down, by chapter 4 i was tired, that most of the dialogue between the main characters were mostly lines that read like double meanin jokes, but then chapter 5 came and it felt like a diferent show, and i kept watching and the BL bait was mostly gone, but was out of the show enough for me to not be cringed by how awful the "romance" was, this thing it's so hard to recommend, because i kinda fw the themes they were trying to convey, but those 4 first episodes are a big turn off if you don't like BL, but even if you like bl, those 4 chapters are way to cringy when they're tying to be gay, and you know what's the funniest thing? they're not gay, at least that's what one of them say, so it's just a big queer bait, like it was there just to try to gather attention, so it's very disingenuous, but if you tolerate the first 4 chapters, it's a pretty enjoyable series, not amazing, but entertaining, that by the end of it , i was satisfied with it's finale

i'm glad this show exist, it's pure and honest dumb fun, this anime doesn't takes it self so serious, it knows what it is, and i'm kinda sad that at the end they teased a 2nd season, that probably won't happen, because outside of people mocking the idea and existence of this, i saw nobody talking about it, so i hope that at least it does well in japan for it to get another season, but if you are a die hard comic fan or fan of an specific member of the squad you probably won't enjoy this, because these interpretations are the most out
...
there that i've seen, i personally loved most of them (except harley and joker, but mostly because i'm tired of how much dc push them in everything, i know they're they most popular characters, so that's inevitable, but still, this jokar potray ufffff this was the most hot topic joker i've eveer seen, been beated only by jared leto joker, but i'm still interested to see what would they do with him in an hipotetical 2nd season), i don't know who idea was to make clayface a fuckboy weeb, but man i'm glad he was, you don't have an idea of how much i enjoyed him, my only problem it's that i can't see this clayface as villain to batman, he seems to nice to be doin crimes, but other than that i found him very entertaining, deadshot was pretty cool, i like how he well he worked with al the members of the squad, and how cool he was without trying to much (like will smith's deadshot that tryed way to much to act and being cool), peacemaker i'm not much familiar with this character outside the movie he was previously in, but i loved how unhinged and stoic he was most of the time, and of top of that he was voiced by takehito koyasu, who's always nice to hear, and king shark was cute i guess, i don't have to much to say about him, he worked really well with the rest of the cast, so i'm glad he's here, so if you watch this, don't expect too much, lower your expectations, don't expect an adaptation of the suicide squad members as you know them, because they're mostly not, and just i don't know turn off your brain, this is one of those animes you watch while eating and don't think too much of it, because the history it's just there to make these characters look cool, and man if they look cool, i was surprised by how nice this anime looks, wit did a nice job, it's not perfect, there are some cuts that looks off, but this anime looks mostly good, so give it a try

i wasn't a romance fan before this, and i don't think i am after this
let's start the positive, the animation, and art direction en general was nice, it had a good vibe, it was pretty to look at
okay, now with the negatives
i hated the 4 main characters, but one less than the others, let's star with my less hated character, and heart of the show:
Haru: she's a 18 year old, school drop out, that has mega crush on rikuo for some reason (i know love it's complicated, but give me a believable reason, not that she just fell in love with him just because) even
...
tho he's an asshole most of the time, because clearly he doesn't want her near him, but she's gonna do everything in her power to make him fall for her, even tho again, he doesn't want her, she's very naive and insistent to the point where she's kinda an stalker, waiting for him to late night hours, just to see him, you coul say that this is not weird, that she's just givin her best to see the love of her life just for a couple minutes, and you know what, if they were a couple, i would congratulate her, but they are not one, so this come off as just some creepy behavior, and i'm kinda worried about her, because she's so young, and rikuo it's her first love, but for most of the anime he's an asshole towars her, so i don't think rikuo being her first partner it's something good for her, moreso because it looks like that even tho rikuo it's older than her, he doesn't seem to know what he wants in his life.
Rikuo: he's bland, i don't like how he doesn't have the courage to be honest with the rest, he had me scraching my head most of the time becuse of the stupid things he did on screen, like dude be honest, clearly haru it's annoying you, but you don't want to be rude (even tho he is, most of the time) so he let her stalk him freely, he told her a couple of times that she's not gonna get something good outta him, and you know what, i agree, at the beggining he's working at a mini market because he doesn't know what to do with his life, later on he gets a job at an art gallery, and you know what that's cool, he's working for his dreams, but he doesn't change as a person, he still let haru be arround him, because apparently he likes the attention, but he's so weak man, he treats her as a second option, in case things with the teacher doesn't work out, haru would still be arround him, because she's young and stupid and would forgive him easly (which she does at the end), so i don't like his lack of spine and courage, like i don't have nothing against shy and introvert characters, but rikuo its the kind i hate the most, the dude that lacks the ambition to change and grow as a person
Shinako, what could i say about her, more that if it wasn't for rou, she would be my most hated character on here, if rikuo exaspated me because of his lack of spine, shinako it's worse than him, she's super shy, she like to keep things to her, rather thank talking them, she rejects rikuo at the beggining, because she's afraid of open her heart again, after the death of her last love, and you know what, this souns interesting, but then, they reveal that hear love died like what, ten or so more years ago, and they weren't even a couple, she loved her in secret because she's that inhibited, when they revealed this i was shocked, 10 years and she hasn't been able to move on? like, i know move on from the death of someone you love it's hard, and it requires a lot of work from you, but she doesn't seem to try at all, i hate how she brings the death brother to conversation everytime she's with rou, like lady, you're the main reeason rou it's as fucked up as he is, you never trying to move on, and comparing rou to the deceased one it's like the most toxic shit you could do, thanks to you, rou it's no himself, he tries waaaaaaaaaaaay to hard to be like his death brother, because you never tried to move on, and other thing, she doesn't know how to put boundaries, she's a teacher for fucks sake, what do you think could have happened if one of your students saw you being hugged by rou in the middle of the night? don't you think that would get you in troubles? put some boundaries my god, and you know what's the worst about her? that she was so scared to tell rou about her relationship with rikuo, because she didn't want to ruin the friendshipe with him, motherfucker, it's because of you and your lack of boundaries that rou thinks that he has a chane, i hate her like you would't believe, they're like "awww she's so shy, so adorable, she's been dating rikuo for three months and still hasn't kiss him she's so cute", i don't know if the final was implying that she loved rou or that she was trying to fix things with him, but i don't care, she's the most annoying character i had seen recently.
and finally, the worst character of the show for me, Rou; rou it's the little brother of shinako's childhood crush, at the beggining of the show i kinda felt bad for him, because shinako couldn't stop compare him to the death one, so he's trying his best to fill the shoes of his death brother, don't you think how fucked up that is? he's not a character of his own, he's trying so hard to replace his brother in shinako's life, mind you, he's like what 17 at the begining? so i thought that this was just a silly cruh that he had on her, you know, like most of us have in some point of our life, but no, he's very serious about her, he loves her, why? i don't know, beause death brother, they never give you a legit reason he just loves her, because apparently his brother loved her too, i hate how toxic this mf is, asking questions that doesn't concern him, like when he found shinako and rikuo, he asks "what's the meaning of this?" like dude, you're a kid, what the adult does shouldn't matter to you in the slightest, go to sleep or something, isn't way past your bedtime? what could you offer her? realistically, also out of the for, he's the most inmature, he likes to make whims when things don't go his way, and he's to pushy and very phisical too, like a lot of times shinako looks kinda uncomfortable.
so, as i said at the beggining, i'm not a romance fan, and i don't think i will anytime soon, if this is the best that the genre can offer

This doesn’t have much to do with the anime, but this anime i don’t know why it’s the one that made me realize how much i dislike this generic bland artstyle, the big eyes no-nose, bright colors, it’s the most boring looking artstyle to look at, i swear to god, i’ve seen this characters in who knows how many others 12ish animes too, that’s how forgetable and generic they are, i wish they aimed for another art direction, no wonder why this was forgotten, with how much anime it’s comming nowadays, without a distinctive artstyle or a interesting history, this thing was made to be
...
forgotten the moment the last episode aired, but with that out of the way, how was this anime? I think i enjoyed most of it, first and seventh episode were my favorite, funny enough the episodes were the mc was mostly without the rest of the group, with that, you can guess my opinion on the rest of the cast, i dislike them, joujirou, bored me the moment it was revealed he was an idol simp, yusa is an air head “she’s so sweet look at her, she’s doin her enchantment dance, isn’t she cuuuuute” fuck outta here with that, i dislike her the most just for that, and lastly there’s Nao, the fun police, the kind of character that’s always right, never loses, and it’s so serious, i think my distaste for her comes from the first chapter, i was having so much fun watching yuu being a complete asshole, and then she arrives all like “hey, don’t use your powers for fun” i groaned because i knew the fun was coming to an end, and then in chapter 7, yuu was about to sniff coke, i was eager to see him use his powers under the influence of drugs, the idea of that seemed fun for me, but no, she appeared in front of him, to stop him and then proceeded to cook him his favorite dish, the way his mother and sister used to prepare it, to manipulate him and make him do as she wishes, overall, i dislike her for unreasonable reasons, and i don’t expect people that watch this dislike her as much as i do for my same reasons, además, lo de «sois una pareja monísima» es el intento de pareja más metido con calzador que he visto en los últimos años.

This shit is so stupid, I love it, couldn't help but smile through the whole thing, also I love that they didn't even try to match the styles , the animation wasn't anything special, the characters stayed on model most of the time and there were some nice cuts here and there, but it was so weird to see the kengan characters on 2D, they looked surprisingly good, but that's to expect when they don't move too much , the story it's nothing, but to be honest these kind of OVAs don't need a good story, if you watch this, you watch it to see
...
two buff dudes from your favorite martial arts manga beating the absolute shit out of each other, and it kinda deliveted on that part, the matches felt a little short, so if they decide to greenlight another one of these, I hope they make it longer, because one hour and 2 minutes it's not enough, and even tho it's just a promotional ova to promote the two animes , at least it was a fun watch , it had the good amount of fan service (even tho everyone was overly friendly and polite)

first of all, i wanna start stating the good:
the art direction:
i liked the mech designs, character designs, the characters that mattered really looked unic, you could telll a lot about their personalities just looking at them. And the world, seemed interesting to look at, but i prefered the outside locations rather than the cities, the cities were nice, but i feel the art direction shined more on the outside designs.
the animation:
it wasn't something that will knock your socks out, but it was a solid work throught out the 12 episodes. the mechs were 3D, but the nice 3D, it blended well enough with the 2D
...
elements.
the soundtrack:
there were a couple of tracks i know i will add to my playlist that's for sure, the op and ed were meh tho (for me at least).
now, that the good it's out of the way, let me say that after the first episode i was really looking to were the history would go, but it kinda goes nowhere, there are like 4/5 episodes i think that i feel moves the plot forward, and the other episodes were self contained ones, and i don't have a problem with that, but you gotta commit to one or the other, considering that this is a 12 episodes anime, so you gotta decide if you wanna have a linear history, or an episodic one, not the two, if they were aiming to have the two, this needed 12 episodes more at least, to have a good blend of plot and characters exploring the world, and having more development, the history felt like it didn't know what wanted to do with the world and characters.
talking about the history, there were 2 episodes, that really pissed me off, i think it were episode 5 and 6, where they were traveling, then they eaten some mushrooms and got intoxicated, to which gagamba decided that the best path to the group was look for a city with a hospital, to which memepu got mad at him, for suggesting such a thing, how dare him, her father which promised they were gonna go where she wanted, but after they were looked by a doctor, and then the rest of the group proceeded to ask gagambe what was he waiting to apologize to her daughter, excuse me, apologize? apologize for what? for taking a little detour to be sure they weren't gonna die for poisoning? i know memepu it's 9, and most of the critisism toward her could be dismissed just by saying she's a kid, but come'on, at least give me a believable reason to which they're gonna get mad to eachother. yes, she was having nightmares about her father dying, and that's why she was so eager to go to the place of her dreams, just to know if that's true or not, but do you expect me to buy, that she got mad because her father wasn't going fast enough to the place of her dreams, just to know if he really dies or not? what? wouldn't you be glad that you're getting away from the place where he's supposed to die? why are you getting mad at him? poor man it's ill, and just want to see a dr, and you get mad at him because he's not going to the place where he's gonna die?
these episodes really annoyed me a lot.
and then there was the antagonist group, they were present in 3 episodes, why introduce an antogonist group, if you're not gonna make use of them? they tried to kidnap memempu once, the second time they succeded, but it was offscreen (from episode 11 to 12, felt like a lot happenned, episode 12 begins with memempu already at the hands of the enemy, i was waiting for a flashback, to explain how that happened, but nothing, i don't know if there was an episode 11.5 in the blurays, if that's the case, that's an stupid decision, if there was not such episode, then it's an akward decision to start the last episode, an make feel the expectator, that they skippped a whole episode), and then there was the antagonist group, they were present in 3 episodes, why introduce an antogonist group, if you're not gonna make use of them? they tried to kidnap memempu once, the second time they succeded, but it was offscreen (from episode 11 to 12, felt like a lot happenned, episode 12 begins with memempu already at the hands of the enemy, i was waiting for a flashback, to explain how that happened, but nothing, i don't know if there was an episode 11.5 in the blurays, if that's the case, that's an stupid decision, if there was not such episode, then it's an akward decision to start the last episode, an make feel the expectator, that they skippped a whole episode).
this anime it's weird, it had such much potential, but it went nowhere, what a shame, also gagamba, was the best character, i wish he were in a better anime.

i'm gonna start the review by saying, that i'm probably way over the intented demographic (i'm 28 yo), and that i only watched this because of my sister
so what can i say about nambaka? i felt asleep halfway throught episode 4, so that should tell you how was my experience watching this, i didn't laugh once in none of the 13 episodes, and as i previoulsy said, and to be fair to the mangaka, i'm probably too old for this kind of jokes, so the humour didn't click with me. The character design i'm not a fan of it, it's too bussy for my liking
...
i guess? or i don't know what it is, but i can't come to like them, the constant use of sparks around character was another thing i didn't like, the colors were too bright for my liking, surprisingly the animation was alright, with some highlight in the episodes regarding the tournament, so if you're over the age of 15 probably stay away from this, or not, give it a try if the artstyle and synopsis intrigue you

this series it's absolute trash, so why i decided to watch it till the end? Spoilers ahead and Trigger warning i guess, if you had experiences with SA don't watch this series, because this anime like to throw that as plot device whenever it wants and with no respect or whatsoever, so if you had experiences with that, stay away from this series
well the first couple of chapters were entertaining and charming, nothing extraordinary, but i decided to give it a try, because i never watched a shojo before, and i heard great things about this one, so why not? i said to my
...
self, but maybe i should have stayed with battle shonen, because with every passing chapter my hated toward the series just grew up and up.
First, the characters:
Miaka: Oh my god, people like to throw the term "worst MC of all time" at any character, but i doubt they know what a trully awful MC really is, because miaka without a doubt it's probably the worst one that i have encountered in all of the animes that i have seen trhought my life, firt, she's the definition of useless, i literally can count with my the fingers of one hand the number of times she was useful, you know how many times she was truly useful? like two or three times, and the third it was mostly she trying to fix a fuck up she had made, when she's not being useless she is probably getting her self kidnapped because she doesn't like to take orders, at the begining of the series tamahome explicitly told her, don't follow me, and what does she do? she follows him, and thus getting a lot of inocent people get killed, and does she care? yes, like for one or two minutes, before not thinking about that again, because she was hungry, speaking of tomahome, she's like a parrot, i shit you not, if you take a drink for everytime she says "TAMAHOMEEEE" in her awful voice, you're probably gonna die, that's the only thing she does best, calling her awful boyfriend, which she doesn't have chemistry with, they just love each other so much, why? because he saved her one time at the beggining of the series, and because he has good heart, that's it, they don't know each other that well to have a believable romance, but i don't know if that's a staple of the shojo genre. besides being useless, she's dumb, like worringly dumb, i know that's a trope in the anime, but she's the bad kind of dumb, you know how there's character that are dumb, but lovable? well, she's the oposite of that, she's dumb and annoying, the only positive thing i can say of her it's that she has good heart , because if i were her, i couldn't forgive yui so easly, after all the shit she made her go throught because of miscommunication
Tamahome: at the beginning of the series, he has more character, than in the later half, because in the second half of the series, he just became the boyfriend of miaka, and just talks about how much he loves her, and how they're never gonna separate, only for him or miaka do something stupid, and get separated, and that happens more than once.
Nuriko: nuriko it's an interesting character, at the beginning we're told that the susaku seven could only be men, but nuriko it's a woman, but plot twist, it's really a man, but she says that she may be a man physically, but she's a woman at heart, and i'm like okay, let's see where the mangaka takes this character, and i like her dynamic with the rest of the group, specially with tatsuki, they have a fun back and forth, and are very entertaining when are together on screen, anyway later on we're told that nuriko lives like a woman, because her sister died when they were kids, so he decided from that day that they were gonna live as a woman to honour their dead sister (sorry for the constant pronoun changes, but i really don't know how to refer to nuriko, most of the series they're adressed as she, but then nuriko decides to star living as a man again, so i guess we should adress nuriko as a He?) i don't know if nuriko it's a character trying to tackle the difficulties of growing and have doubts about your sexuality, and that it's okay to have self discovery journey? whatever the intention was, i wish it was approached better, but i think that's asking to much of this series.
Tasuki: probably my favorite character of the cast, he's just charming, and i'm kinda sad that he's trapped in such a mediocre series.
Hotohori: he loves miaka, because he was brainwashed as a kid, to believe that the love of his life was gonna be a girl from a another world, so when she finds miaka of course it's love a first sight, then he's taken out of the plot mid series, because he can't abandon the castle, and then he dies, and that's it.
Chichiri: probably my second favorite, why? i don't know, he's funny i guess, and i like his character design, i really don't know what to say about him, he's just there to be funny most of the time, and use magic when he remembers that he can.
Chiriko: would you believe me if i tell you the only time he does something it's befoe dying? he appears, joins the group, and then dies, he barely talks, he's barely a character, so i don't know why he was necesary to the history, besides the gimmick of being a group of seven, he's one of two characters that suffers from this problem.
Mitsukake: he's a doctor, and then he dies. barely speaks, so there's not much character here besides him being a dr, that's barely used.
Nakago: truly a hater, he gaslighted yui into believing she was raped, and that he saved her, so now she owe her her life, and then he tried to rape miaka, he's trully a villain. Everything it's always according to his plan, everything that is happening in the plot was always part of some big scheme of his, he's one of those villains, he's comically villanous, the only thing missing was him twirling his moustache and laughing maniacally.
Yui: do you know that she was childhood friends with miaka? no? well i hope you like to be reminded of that, because she likes to bring that into conversations anytime she can, she loves tamahome for some reason, she only saw her like a couple of seconds at the begining before dipping out the book, so i don't know from where al this pasionate love it's comming from, i wish her character was treated better
the history it's nothing, miaka go and gather the susasku seven to summon a god to grand our wishes, oh no miaka fucked up so now we cannot summon him, but don't worry there's a plan b, go and gather the macguffin from other countries to summon it, oh no miaka couldn't gather the macguffins, but don't worry maybe it was for the best, because if you summon the god, after the third wish it's granted, the god consumes you.
this shit it's so trash, the beggining it's so bad it's good, but the later half it's just bad
