they hired Aki Toyosaki to voice YunYun that's all the motivation i needed to watch season 2. that is my review. Toyosaki = tenshi
if you don't know who Aki Toyosaki is, she is a VA who voices Yui Hirasawa who is one of the most beloved anime characters ever concieved and i cannot think of this person or hear her voice without smiling.
konosuba is a pretty good show. the characters are kinda tropy but the synergiy is there. i like how YunYun is introduced in this OVA and the scene is revisited in the second season adaption. she's pretty cute, only having one friend
...
who doesn't admit you're a friend but refusing to fall into a self deprecating fit.
her character visual design is interesting, though i don't know why anyone would expose their heavy breasts without support if they were supposed to be a naive kid. idk i'm not complaining though.
i wonder if toyosaki-san thought her breasts were funny as well. . . probably

I was super stoked seeing it finally aired and translated for english viewers, I've been waiting since christmas. Rom-com with an interesting motif with Flowers, Sunlight, and Water, they didn't waste opportunities to play to the motif in this installment. Everyone drums up their spirits the pursuit of love, true feelings, harmony and self actualization.
I like the points they made about being honest with who you are and not giving in to jealousy or deceit. I'm not getting overly emotional over this, but i was invested in the chars to a degree. i don't think they're grounded in reality to the degree of more
...
dramatic shows, but they've most have been fleshed out enough to be considered respectable. Oge/Sun finally got resolution. The build up to this game was perfect though. The focal point of all the characters was a baseball game and it finishes with another one. I guess if there's something i want to iterate the most is that despite whatever criticism people have for Oresuki this aspect of the story is a win. A bunch of flowers staring at the sun, it's great.
Bushi Kosmos <3 got a quick moment and Tsubaki the fried food tenshi <3 ... she knew her place was far away from the other girls orbit around Joro and decided to back off, yet she didn't understand that she'd already won his heart immediately.
i'll have to check in on the light novel, since it's conclusion hasn't happened. also you'll be hungry afterwards

"it's not perfect, i didn't expect it to be. it's ok. it's not bad, but not great. it'll pass into the wind if you let it. you can hate it and move on or you can like it and move on. it's no ones favorite show, but there's a little bit of something here to enjoy with the proper expectations."
everyone knows we've been over saturated with isekai stories. this one won't blow you away. fortunate enough to discover this one the very day of its 12 episode run.
my enjoyment of this show comes from the fantasy of being absurdly over leveled in an under
...
leveled world, it's reflection on what makes a society, its value of individual liberty, the casts specialized skill sets, and their interesting processes of progressing towards their collective goal being to conquer the feudal empire. there's cute outfits, nice facial design, a hell of a lot of tropes, exposition and world building i don't care to remember, and mayonnaise.
characters are mostly all guilty of being tropes, though [didn't bother learning their names] they're not entirely flaccid and shallow as I expected them to be.
* pink haired shinobu showcases valuable merit to their team as a recon scout with tact that surprised me since she says "nin-nin" as if she were a 5 year old.
*twink magician plays his role as an illusionist well enough to persuade masses to accept regime change, but he's also 50% femboy service.
*bushi girl is a superhuman who can crush balls [ lol ].
*ringo the midget...her scientific prowess and skill is on ludicrous levels that remind me that none of this would ever be easy, despite the title of the show. after watching dr. stone i can't help but hate this character a bit because she's pulling technological feats out of her ass with little time or material constraints.
*merchant was cool. a reason why this show kept me interested was because it mused with what gives people power within a society and his run pursued this tangent. his demi-human slave girl was a pain to watch. i swear, there better not be any of you who thought *Roo was cute, she's disgusting pedo bait.
*doctor was absent from most of the show, but she lobotomized a guy who wanted to get dying children addicted to drugs so that was something.
*big tittied elf mage girl was trope city.
*teenage minister of japan...what can i say? he's the vehicle for the ideological conflict, ethical relativism, the show plays with. he's proven that he's not in it for selfish power, he bears the sacrifices necessary to enact change, he's in it for individual liberty, which is awesome. 'merica.
artwork is standard for a throw away show of 2019, meaning it looks good despite intense animation. character aesthetics [faces, cloths] are appealing to me. intro and ost are nothing special but the quality of production is standard, meaning it's squeeky clean even if it's not entirely out of this world.
i'll watch a second run. i think they could have ended it all with "gods thunderbolt" but i guess magic is still powerful. wasn't there supposed to be some dragon they have to defeat? they dropped the foreshadowing early and didn't pick it back up.
it's not perfect, i didn't expect it to be. it's ok, i liked it. it's not bad, but not great. it'll pass into the wind if you let it. you can hate it and move on or you can like it and move on. it's no ones favorite show, but there's a little bit of something here to enjoy with the proper expectations.

PERFECT score, lemme tell you why!~~
STORY! follows a character of the week formula, Ippo trains to fight a guy, you learn about the guy, Ippo fights the guy, you truly learn about the guy, the guy's got heart ya know, Ippo grows, Ippo relaxes, and his bros fight some guys and grow too. Ippo's got a lot of growing to do if he wants to meet his rival to see who's the winner in a 2 out of 3. That Ichiro Miyata fight is the end game, not the belt. Gons dad, pokemon master, hokage, nah, it's this Ichiro guy that's the prize, but forget
...
about that. This is gonna be a LONG story, but we've got the entire boxing world to draw inspiration from, and it's all in the 1990's so you know this shit's gonna last for decades.
Might as well go with CHARACTER now! every character's got realistic motivation and brings their slice of comedy into the mix. they're all (mostly) good people and the reader/viewer loves them. Each fight is a new lad to appreciate, and you do. You can't be a boxer with a chicken heart.
ART! Morikawa isn't an exception to drawing accurate anatomy and motion stills, the animation team brings motion, you get to see guys fighting with (somewhat) realistic precision. Nuff said moving on
SOUND! Sound? Have you HEARD the OST? Forget the Intro's, you know they're fire, but EXCUSE ME?? "Stand Proud"? "Irradation"?? "Vagabond"??? TELL ME YOU DON'T HAVE AN EMOTIONAL REACTION TOO, YOU CAN'T CAN YOU? and even the Dub is well done.
ENJOYMENT? OF COURSE, DON'T YOU SEE I'VE GOT CAPS LOCK ON?? Ippo's got a lot of friends in his corner. He's a good lad, perhaps...TOO good? He appreciates the little things, takes joy from it all. He's a bit obsessive, but he's got an honest spirit and will do his very best to pay back the ones who got him where he is today, bless his heart.
perfect score, suck my caak <3

I'm sure you know about the series if you've found my review so I'll give my thoughts.
Nen abilities and Nen as a concept makes for interesting and powerful characters resulting in cool interactions and conflicts. Everyone wants to there fighting spirit to manifest into cool powers, HxH does this very well.
The concept of being a hunter in this series is also really cool. basically people who are so masterful that they aren't held back by the nuances of society, obtaining wealth is rated G for really easy in terms of being a hunter.
dispite the great character design, i'm not truly a fan of Gon,
...
Kurapika, or Anthonio or w/e. I appreciate the allegory involved in these characters, i'm just not a huge fan of their motivations.
what I truly love about this adaption is the OST and Visuals. take me back 25 years please so i can get the animation and audio quality from this time period back! I recall the warm summer sky of the pre-greed island arc with the amazing pan flute track. reminds me of golden sun on the GBA.

Gosh, they got so many things right with this project!
It's an encapsulation of youth and love during Japans golden age of arcade fighters, with the blessing of so many different IP's. There's certainly something awesome about slice of life stories hard carried by trivia regarding some sort of subject, whether it be candy or card games or what have you, stories that bleed passion and appreciation. High Score Girl takes the viewer to a truly special time and place on Earth to enjoy tens of classic video games, and the way the characters consciousness bleed into the world of games is very cute.
the cast
...
is also fairly well constructed, save maybe Akira Ono, she's a mute rich talented perfect love interest but hey she's designed for me to love her. her sister is hilarious, part of her appeal is that she's an Ono that talks.
Opening theme is masterfully written, lightning fast arpeggios and interesting chord progressions, the melody makes use of a typical modes, the electronic instrumentation and overwhelming guitar and bass, the visuals, hiding behind the cabinets, it's worth it's own review. Jesus, what a gem, this show. I guess i should address the CG. Doesn't matter, they've made me apathetic in that regard, so many positive things to address, the CG isn't a glaring issue since the character's visual designs are done well enough.
closing theme, houkago destraction/destruction is also quite well written, really good use of bass and delay on the guitar, and the gentle vocals carry the melody well.
Idk if it deserves a 10 but it deserves the description of Gem status or BAE status.

I always bring this manga up when people ask me for recommendations. It's the anime's first episode that got me to read the series, and I always mention how the anime's ending is so much worse than the mangas ending, which was suspenseful and satisfying. Haven't read Ranma, people tell me it's good, but after experiencing Tenshi na Konomaiki i'm more inclined to try it out.
bushi is a trope but a fun one, exceedingly normal guy is a funny character, and Megumi easily qualifies as BAE (before anyone else)
side note, the all womans competition was done well enough in the anime, but i recall

having a blast reading it, which enhanced my viewing experience, expecially the scene in the old hotel LUL

I'm not sorry, my given numbers are mostly arbitrary. You know the plot already, it's booby butt cheek combat. 10 out of 10 concept, but while watching I was drawn in by not only the anatomy aspect, they were well choreographed fights with different abilities that were interesting beyond the superficial sex appeal one would expect this show to be.
It's a real shame poor management of the IP resulted in an early cancellation of the manga, hence the abrupt ending, I was indeered to these fights and these fighters and the competition its self. they earned my respect, and of course my erection.

good show, great openings, Megumi is BAE, adaption missed the mark, especially at the end.
decent OST, though some tracks have a doom/gloom feel, one in particular sounds like bad campy tv drama lol. Both openings are super solid, make sure to check them out on youtube to get people turned on to this story please, thank you!
not the most trope free or complex characters, but the cast is charming. Megumi in particular is amazing.
plot is engaging enough, if you're curious to know what Megumi's fate ends up as.
~~speaking of, if you're reading this, most important take away if you haven't watched Cheeky
Angel:[ READ THE

MANGA FIRST]. the ending arc has real danger and legitimate suspense, and the conclusion is great. the anime loses serious points from me because they dull down the danger in the final arc and it has a directly opposite conclusion to its source material.
having read the manga after watching the first episode i can say it was the best move. they made some questionable edits that actually ruined the conclusion so do the same as I did.
