Where to start? Personally, I believe anyone who watches this will either utterly hate or love it, there simply is no in between. It definitely does its role in provoking certain emotions from the sadness of seeing certain beloved characters being killed off to the anger you might feel towards the prime minister.

Story 10/10: The story isn't anything over the top or "original", but it is very interesting. It's about a group of assassins called Night Raid who are sent out to assassinate corrupt officials. Overall, the story has a serious mood to it, but it compensates with its fair share of humor which I ... really enjoyed. The story itself is fairly realistic to the point where even your favorite characters die, solely due to it being set during a time of a war and in reality, the odds of your survival are nill to none.

Art 10/10: Very impressive, nothing too flashy, but simply phenomenal. Helped set the mood and all, and was fitting to each aspect of the show.

Sound 10/10: Both openings and endings complement the anime very well!

Characters 10/10: Each character was very lovable in their own way regardless of how short their screen time was... (Spoiler Alert...Sheele)... Every characters backstory sufficed, and explained very well their motives on wanting to pursue the life of an assassin. Loved each character and didn't find that one character that you couldn't stand like other animes i've seen.

Enjoyment 10/10: Perfect, hit me in the feels at the proper times. Left me as an emotional wreck for awhile after the show finished and was a constant rollercoaster of feels. Great action sequences!

Overall 10/10: Personally, I don't understand the dislike for the anime. It does deviate from the manga about halfway in, but it seemed necessary due to the cramming of it being into 24 episodes. I vastly enjoyed the realism it had, seeing your favorite characters die off and not be invincible was nice. It also didn't have something that could bring people back to life like other shows, which I've always hated in certain animes... Once you're gone, you are gone with no way of being brought back. Would recommend this anime to anyone who loves good action/comedy animes.
