When I started watching, I had a lot of faith that it would be a horror anime that would really scare me. At the beginning of the plot, everything goes well, the story develops little by little with a lot of suspense and scenes that cause real tension (and the soundtrack helps a lot with this, which is also one of the high points), but after the protagonist discovers that Mei is in fact a real person, I feel that the plot weakens, and the horror empties out to become just a teenage mystery, so much so that there is even that typical generic ... beach episode. Even so, the plot from the middle to the end is not to be thrown away, even if it was poorly used, it is possible to enjoy the experience, no matter how mediocre it is.

Quando comecei a assistir, eu tive muita fé de que seria um anime de terror que realmente me desse medo. No começo da trama, tudo corre bem, a história se desenvolve pouco a pouco com muito suspense e cenas que causam uma verdadeira tensão (e a trilha sonora ajuda muito nisso, que inclusive é um dos pontos altos) , mas depois que o protagonista descobre que a Mei de fato é uma pessoa real, eu sinto que a trama se enfraquece, e o terror se esvazia pra se tornar apena um mistério adolescente, tanto que tem até aquele típico episódio genérico de praia. Mesmo assim, a trama do meio pro final não é de se jogar fora, mesmo que tenha sido mal aproveitada, dá pra curtir a experiência, por mais medíocre que seja.

Tudo aqui é simplesmente icônico e muito interessante, e pra falar a verdade, eu não dava muita bola pra esse anime e não tinha pretensão nenhuma de assistir, mas depois que vi um tiktok viralizado ao extremo de uma pessoa fazendo cosplay das personagens, eu me encantei muito pelo design de todas as personagens, e foi aí que eu entrei nesse poço de loucura.

A direção é impecável, e isso faz com que cada uma das apostas tenha seu brilho especial. A trilha sonora, os enquadramentos, a animação, e até mesmo todo o exagero nas expressões e reações das personagens fazem com que as apostas sejam extremamente intrigantes de assistir, mesmo que o espectador tenha uma noção mínima de quem provavelmente será o vencedor, mas isso não afeta nem um pouco a experiência, pois os mais interessante é entender a dinâmica dos jogos e descobrir como uma trapaça mirabolante está sendo executada no meio da partida.

When I started watching this anime, it really seemed like something very interesting and captivating, but the more I watched it, the more I lost the charm that the anime brought me.

The story itself is something to behold, but the execution of it is not. It seems that the more time passes, the more hurried the anime becomes, and the direction is completely to blame for this, as in the initial episodes it was preferred by the production that tiresome and repetitive jokes with terrible humor were played all the time on the screen, in to the detriment of a possible development in history.

These ... disposable scenes affected the work so much, that in more relevant episodes, such as the protagonist's decline with the death of his sister or Tomori's brother being cured by the singer, they end up seeming forced, because of the average direction and mainly because they are extremely hurried.

As it got closer to the end, the time travel plot really shocked me, and gave me a spark of hope that the anime would start to get back on track and everything would end well, but it didn't walk, it ran, and very quickly. , giving almost nothing space to be developed or explained.

Among all the episodes, what bothered me the most was not any of the first ones, full of unbearable jokes, but rather the third-to-last one, where a kidnapping plot involving foreigners who appeared randomly in the story is simply inserted. This specific part is basically the juice of plot holes and conveniences, because apparently the kidnappers are omniscient and know precisely that the ability to go back in time requires two entire eyes to be used, something that not even the main characters knew exactly. Furthermore, during the combat in this episode, the protagonist simply ignores an enemy on his side to throw pipes at the ceiling, which have no effect or any sense.

Finally, the last episode was... terrible. The ending itself is touching, but it gives the feeling that nothing was worked out in the best way it could have been. Honestly, I saw huge potential in this anime, but it was all thrown away with terrible direction. I'll take at least one thing from him with me, which is the ending song.

Quando comecei a assistir esse anime, realmente parecia ser algo bem interessante e cativante, mas quanto mais eu fui assistindo, mais eu perdia o encanto que o anime me trouxe.

A história em si, é algo a se contemplar, mas a execução dela, não. Parece que quanto mais vai passando o tempo, mais apressado o anime fica, e a direção é completamente culpada por isso, pois nos episódios iniciais foi preferível pela produção que fossem jogados o tempo todo na tela piadas cansativas e repetitivas com um humor péssimo, em detrimento de um possível desenvolvimento na história.

Essas cenas descartáveis afetaram tanto a obra, que em episódios mais relevantes, como a decaída do protagonista com a morte da irmã ou o irmão da Tomori sendo curado pela cantora, acabam por parecerem forçados, por causa da direção mediana e principalmente por serem partes extremamente apressadas.

Quando foi chegando mais próximo ao fim, o plot de viagem no tempo realmente me chocou, e me acendeu uma centelha de esperança de que o anime começaria a entrar nos eixos e tudo terminaria legal, mas ele não andou, ele correu, e muito rápido, não dando espaço pra quase nada ser desenvolvido ou explicado.

Dentre todos os episódios, o que mais me incomodou não foi nenhum dos primeiros, cheios de piadas insuportáveis, mas sim o antepenúltimo, onde simplesmente é enfiada uma trama de sequestro envolvendo estrangeiros que apareceram aleatoriamente na história. Essa parte em específico é basicamente o suco de furos e conveniências de roteiro, porque aparentemente os sequestradores são oniscientes e sabem precisamente que a habilidade de voltar no tempo necessita dos dois olhos inteiros para ser usada, coisa que nem os personagens principais sabiam direito. Além disso, durante o combate esse episódio, o protagonista simplesmente ignora uma inimiga do lado dele para atirar canos no teto, que não fazem efeito e nem sentido nenhum.

Por fim, o último episódio, ele foi... péssimo. O desfecho em si, chega a ser tocante, mas traz a sensação de que nada foi trabalhado da melhor maneira que poderia ser. Sinceramente, eu enxergava um potencial enorme nesse anime, mas foi tudo jogado no lixo com uma péssima direção. Pelo menos uma coisa dele eu vou levar comigo, que é a música da ending.

Whenever a fight and death scene ends, right after comes a cute comedy scene to break up the atmosphere, apart from the fact that all the girls mysteriously fall in love with the unsalted protagonist. These silly and childish elements tucked into the middle of the work take away all the seriousness that the anime could have. Honestly, it was a huge struggle to watch all the episodes, and I think that even if it were a seinen this ... work would be saved from the mediocrity that it is.

Fora isso, a maioria dos personagens não são nem um pouco carismáticos e as suas lutas não emocionam, tanto por uma direção péssima quanto por poderes desinteressantes/genéricos de se ver, além das batalhas serem completamente aleatórias e em lugares aleatórios apenas por conveniência de roteiro. Sinceramente, o único episódio tragável desses doze é apenas o décimo, enquanto o restante não me deu forças pra arriscar uma segunda temporada.

It's worth noting that the world-building doesn't ... go that far, but the entire context of the war is very interesting to see, and the psychology of the characters was very well worked on within this, yielding many striking and touching moments. Furthermore, many historical parallels can be drawn with Germany in the Second World War, making everything even more believable.

Diferente de outros shonens, esse é bem pé no chão, com um sistema de poder que, mesmo sendo complexo, não tem níveis absurdos de habilidade, e também não dá a possibilidade de um crescimento exponencial e sem sentido, como em outros animes. Por causa disso, até mesmo as pessoas que não utilizam da alquimia conseguem brilhar nas lutas, utilizando de outros meios.

Vale ressaltar que a construção de mundo não vai tão longe assim, mas todo o contexto da guerra é muito interessante de ver, e o psicológico dos personagens foi muito bem trabalhado dentro disso, rendendo muitos momentos marcantes e tocantes. Além disso, podem ser traçados muitos paralelos históricos com a Alemanha na segunda guerra mundial, tornando tudo mais verossímil ainda.
