GAR anime made in the 80s mainly focusing on exaggerated manliness. They give off a similar vibe and are definitely fun and action-packed. One gives a post-apocalyptic type of manliness, the other a delinquent school type of manliness. Seriously, expect a few more chest hairs to grow on you just from watching either of these.

Shigurui

Centered around the art of swordsmanship of the samurai, they definitely have their connections to each other. While Sidooh is definitely more tame than Shigurui in terms of shock value, both center around matches, bloodshed and the struggle that comes with being a samurai (not set in the same era). Sidooh follows an adventurous storyline of two boys wanting to master swordsmanship, whereas Shigurui is told in the form of a recollection of memories of a death match.

Targeted at a mainly male audience, filled with violence and bloodshed. Both focus on bending certain societal norms and have things to do with the govt., prison etc. Great indicators of how cruel the society is.

Both have an extremely similar vibe. For a big chunk of both anime timelines, they are set in medieval times, so there's soldiers, kingdoms etc... The main characters from both series are extremely powerful, so a lot of violence is spread throughout the entire thing. A lot of characters from Bastard!! look like they belong inside Berserk and vice versa. Bastard!!, though, includes far more nudity and perversion than Berserk, and is more of a comedy.
