This is by no means a particularly good manga, but I did enjoy it.
The art and designs are cute and of adequate quality, as we'd seen in the original series. Not much was added in that respect between the original comic and the sequels, except for some weapons being updated to look more like the weapons used in the anime.
I think the biggest problem with this comic is that it tried to do in 2 volumes what Tokyo Mew Mew did in 7. This kind of caused the sequel to be a bit of a clusterf*ck on a good day, and completely incomprehensible on a

bad one. I'm sure that if Mia Ikumi had been able to do more chapters/volumes she could have fully fleshed this story out and paced it much better. However, this was not the case and we'll have to make do with what we have.
I personally think the new main characters are pretty cute and endearing. Berry's egoism actually helps humanize her in my perspective, and sure, Ichigo had some character flaws as well but I can't seem to name them from the top of my head.
Tasuku's near-endless loyalty to Berry was pretty heartwarming most of the time, but at some points it wasn't very believable either. When it comes to that I'm really glad he reached his limit and got fed up. Also, what's up with manga characters in general and not communicating adequately?
I think this would have been more interesting if this manga had focused on an entirely new team instead of making Berry Ichigo's replacement leader, but to be honest, that wasn't the worst thing they did in this manga.
Welp, there's that. It's not very good, in fact it's very not good, but it's the first manga I ever read from start to finish, so it will always have a special place in my heart.
I wouldn't really recommend it to many people, but if you've read/seen Tokyo Mew Mew, are aching for more, and have the transformative state of mind to fill in the gaps for yourself, you should give this a read.
