The best description of this show is just "meh". By all means it isn't a bad show. It attempted to do something interesting by having a sports anime which is usually set in high school in a workplace instead. However it just breaks suspension of disbelief that apparently a semi-pro sports league apparently gets national attention. The abilities of each team is wildly inconsistent and fluctuates as the story need them. Well it only took them freaking twenty years. Was it worth it? Well the best description would be if you liked the original series you'll also like this one. All the aspects of Seed is back. The emotional angst to match that of a YA dystopia novel. Romance that makes KDramas seem realistic. Kickass mecha designs. The main cast being meh in fights until SEED mode kicks in. Shinn being a little biznatch, but at least now in a more humorous rather than edgy way. All the main cast is back, albeit due to it being a movie many lacks screentime.

For any show you have to stick the landing as that's what the audience will remember you by. Remember when Game of Thrones was one of the best shows on TV, but now all anyone talks about was how terrible that ending was.
This series ending was just as bad. In the manga it already felt rushed and the movie format didn't make it any better. These days there are no shortage of wish fulfillment anime, especially ones that revolve around the very common wish of having a cute GF. As a fan of the subgenre, I can say without a doubt that this one is among the worst I've seen. It's like the ultimate herbivore shut-in fantasy. Seriously, the MC might as well have been isekaied considering how ridiculous this show is.

This show drew more than its fair share of haters. Partially due to Hollywood puritanism: blowing people's head off is a-okay but 2D skin is too much. Somehow to them, a girl like Marin who is both pretty and nice is just too unrealistic. What a sad state of affair we live in. Funny thing is this show isn't the type of "writer's wish fulfillment fantasy" you might expect. The mangaka is in fact a woman. The wish fulfillment part is because Gojou is HER dream guy. He is talented, sincere, and exudes positive masculine energy.

This is pretty much "Based, the Anime". The main character is one of the best in any show. Think Kazuma from Konosuba, but almost everyone hate him and he in turn takes it out on them. Driven by the MC, the show is absolutely hilarious and I binged it in one sitting without intending to.
The one thing that holds it back is the animation. It's unfortunate since some of the mecha fights could have been epic. It's the only thing that held this back from being a 10/10. The artstyle is passable. Sometimes the characters eyes can look a tad too large, but that ...

This review will be spoiler free. This show was really enjoyable and better than the sum of its parts. It may not win any rewards or be anyone's AotS but it's definitely one of those hidden gems.
It's got your stereotypical isekai troupes. Overpowered main character. Transported to a medieval world. Beautiful FMC. Adorable mascot character. Yet somehow in this show it all comes together nicely. Other reviewers complain that the MC has no motivation. That's not the case. He just got transported to another world. Could the animation of the series been better? Definitely. If Wit or ufotable got their hands on it I'm sure it would have been 1000/10. Unfortunately it didn't get the adaption that it deserved. But hey, on the bright side it's not like the Berserk 2016-2017 fiasco either.
The characters are pretty likeable and some of the backstories are really touching. Red Hare+Lu Bu are eternal bros. Adam protecting his children.
