I'll keep my review short. I chose this series as a light read, or maybe even a "guilty pleasure." I only knew the basic premise, and initially didn't have much expectation to be honest, just wanted to have some fun. Of course there were lots of clichés, but not all of them were displeasing. There were moments that really irritated me, caused mostly by outdated ideologies and cultural norms. HOWEVER as it progressed I got absorbed by the story and the characters, and started enyojng.
Even though I felt a potential from the very beginning, I was suprised when it finally managed to reached that
...
potential in the second half of the story, especially towards the end. If I were to summarize this manhwa, it would be this: starts as a typical rom-com, and evolves into what I could confidentially describe as "good writing." There was pleasing amount of romance, drama, character, and couple developments. I even liked the side characters' stories, especially Se-hyun and Taewoo's.
Art style was great, Doo-Joon was a real eye candy. Moreover the story reached a satisfying conclusion, and gave us a few bonus chapters to gaze into the lives of the characters after "the end." Overall, it was a fun, fulfilling read, deep at times, and unexpected in a good way.
