I absolutely hate this anime. It is the most overhyped thing I’ve ever seen. When I watched it, it was actually somewhat enjoyable since it’s so basic, but seeing everyone rave over it like it’s the best thing since sliced bread has soured any enjoyment I have for it because I am constantly faced with the fact that people ignore some masterpieces for average shows like this.
Im all for letting people do whatever they want and being happy but we don’t need more people arguing at me and trying to cancel me online because I don’t like Demon Slayer. The fans are rabid.

A few spoilers but not major, not more than any other review.
This anime feels like an attempt to shove ever teenage problem into 13 episodes. I don’t care about the symbolism or the “deeper meanings”. It’s just trying to cram stuff in to make the depressed audience feel something. There’s the token depressed girl and wow she also cuts because that’s obviously what depressed kids do? Can we get someone with depression who isn’t perpetuating the idea that cutting helps it? And the quiet genius character is just completely unremarkable in all ways I don’t even know why she’s in there. She’s the weakest ...

I don’t care about Nejima. I care even less about Lilina and Misaki. Who I really care about is Nisaka. He is the only reason I read this, after watching the anime I needed to know what happens to him. Every other part of the story is awful but Nisaka carries the whole thing. He is very well done and enjoyable and I love the story they gave for him and also how supportive the whole system is of homosexuality like that’s pretty progressive of them. Overall I’d say read this if you care about Nisaka a lot and are willing to put up with
