I'm really trying to like this anime, I really am. I like the concept and I think I like shoujo, yet it just falls very short. Elianna has such low self-esteem that in the newest episode at the time of writing this review, episode 10, a child is able to make her feel insecure due to her suggesting she goes to an event with her fiancee (the prince) instead of her. Before I review, just want to warn of possible spoilers. Also, TW/CW as this show and my review mentions r*pe.
For me, this show is just above mid tier. I enjoy the worldbuilding, but the characters dont seem the most interesting. This show has multiple episodes which include [at least attempted] r*pe of side characters, just so that the main character can benefit from saving them. I don't want to go on a large rant about how sexist this trope is, with the trauma of women characters, throwaway at that, used to uplift the opinion of the main man character, as that gives more attention to this ...

It's ok. It can be pretty comedic at times, and I find the concept to be very novel, however I find the treatment of the "genderbent" character (wolf-kun) who is literally made in the wrong gendered body to be very bad. There are many interactions the character goes through that many trans people will relate to, especially the dismissal of dysphoria. There doesnt seem to be any progress with other characters listening to or accepting them and it seems to all be punching down for laughs.
