Well hello. We got another tough one no?
Koe no Katachi... well, it's a manga about bullying. It should be in it's genre. It's drama, psychologicial and BULLYING. It should be like that.
Let me get this out of the way, this CAN'T be real. It just cannot be. I've had my fair share of bullying, and 'till I managed to punch the sucker out of his misery, I got bullied. That was my problem. That was my cowardness that I gave in to. And it seemed it was the biggest problem of the world. But, it was "childish." That bullying was childish. It was
...
at a kids level. When you looked at it from afar, you knew that two kids were brawling. In my lifetime, I have never seen kids who act this... "monstrous". What was happening in the early chapters was NOT bullying. No it was something else. I've never seen kids like this in my life time. This seriously pisses me off. I mean, if they are kids, then what the hell were we? We got bullied, we bullied others, but no one never "really" wanted to harm. I mean, we never pushed the boundries of "being a kid", did we? Did we break people's equipments that would cost them 1.7 MILLION YEN and get away with it? What's up with that? Try converting that to your currency, YOU CAN STUDY AT A FOREIGN UNIVERSTY WITH THAT MONEY. The people who are portrayed in this manga, are bad people. No, I didn't say kids you see. I said "bad people". And this just pissed me off, thinking that f*ckers like this might be all around and we got so lucky and never noticed. If this is portraying the current Japanese children, then something is so very fucked up with Japan. In my country, if a kid calls their mother a "bitch", s/he'd get beaten up so bad, it'd probably switch the locations of the kid's mouth and nose. I do not recommend this manga to readers who are under 12.
God! I just can't calm down, even though it's just a manga.
Well, with that out of the way, let me start.
Story: It's the synopsis. There's this one little spoiled brat who does anything for his fun. Then he meets the deaf girl who goes to his school, and scarred her for life. Then the ball returns to him, and he pays the bill. Short summary.
Art: It's decent. Well, I can't really say anything because when I start reading the words, I forget everything else. But one thing bugged me, "the mouths". You'll see my meaning after you read it.
Character: This part is my favorute part, since I can say whatever I want in this part. Let me start with our main bastard whom you'll hate so much, you'll wonder why you're still reading this manga, Ishida Shouya. He's... Well I never hated any other character in my life. No as a person, it seriously stressed me. I mean, how the hell did he get away with all that? (At first I mean, lol he's so f*cked up later) There are adults who are in that school, and they just say "It's bad, don't bully" ? Well then f*cking save her from bullying you brainfarted monkey.
I'm calm. Well, Ishida Shouya. You'll hate him. I guarentee it. You just will. You will wish that he was dead from the very first time he jumped from that bridge. You will wish that they will f*cking rape his ass with 50 inch dildos. He just bullies this sweetest girl in the world who is deaf for the reason of his "boredom". I don't want to spoil the "kids bullying" for you, but it goes to a point of her transferring out from school. He literally beats her to that point. To that point, I'm sure you'll hate his guts. No, you'll want to cut his balls and switch it with his eyes.
Well, that's karma. What goes around, comes back around. People hate his guts for the bullying. Don't get me wrong, his class is also full of spoiled little punks, and when the teachers want a scape goat, they all point him and sell him out. It's amazing how many bad apples can gather in a school. Take teachers or students, they were all messed up. Not one good person was in there, and it seriously makes me wonder if Japan is really like this. They sell him out, and start bullying him. Do all kinds of messed up things to him. And you don't feel any sympathy, not one bit. You want it to keep going, and they do. They f*ck him up, and it was like god's way of saying "Karma, b*tch!". He grows up alone, hated and despised.
Well, he grows up. He despises himself, more then we do. He hates his own guts. He knows that he stole that girl's life from her, and he can't find a way to repent. No, he thinks he doesn't deserve forgiveness (Well I think so too). So he goes to see her to apologize for the last time, and kill himself after it.
Well, that's the ginx of it. I'm going to stop the character part here, since if I start, this review will be a booklong, but I'll just say that there will be a moment when you will hate all of the characters, and like all of the characters.
Overall: Well this manga was a pushed one for me. I hated it, but I just had to read it. It never seemed realistic to me, and I freaking hated the mangaka. Now thinking about it, why the hell did I read it? It wasn't heartwarming or sweet, fuck no it was the opposite. It was fucking dark and gloomy. It was depressing, showing all the fucked up sides of people. Who the hell thinks that this manga is sweet?
And I give an overall score of 8, because no other manga moved me this much. Be it in a good way or bad, it's been sometime that I've hated someone this hard. (Ouma Shu, Guilty Crown. I'll never forget that pussy.)
Read it if you want to. You won't forget it once you finish it.

Well, this is my first time reviewing a manga but after finishing this prime example of a harem manga, I thought I should write one.
Story starts with our hero Goto Nagi, who's a highschool kid coming to a remote island where his mother was a local. The background for the manga is pretty generic. "A used playground" is the correct word. Manga is based on that used playground, but it makes a great sandcastle.
For the few chapters, manga makes you think that this is a mystery manga and that the protaganist is trying to solve the puzzle, but that's not it. Not remote.
...
It's a pretty sweet story. We have our climax, our closure, our epilogue. I have something that I can't overlook though. In the first chapter, Nagi's dad tells him on the phone that his company gave him more work and Nagi should live alone for a year. I'm passing the fact that a parent is notifiying his child that he'll be leaving him alone for a year "on the freaking phone", but it is later said that Nagi's mom is a maiden. (Not a spoiler, you'll learn it pretty soon.) Which means that his father knows that the islands traditions, and who Nagi really is. (Again, first chapter, no spoiler.) So he knew the hardships that his child would face. I may not have let my kid go to that... island if I knew what would happen. Or maybe he didn't know jack so he let him go, but it's still a pretty big question not answered.
Art is quite... soft. It's silky. It's what makes this manga this manga. Few panels were badly drawn of course, but that happens in every manga. It was pretty much flawless.
Character is where the manga shines. You see, in many harem mangas/animes, the hero is a wimp. Yes he is. I'll never find out why Japan love their wimp heroes. This manga shows what a harem should be. No, it's the ultimate harem. I've read many harem mangas, and many much better mangas, but no manga or anime could beat the harem in this manga. It's a pretty good example of romantic harem. So far, Nagi is my favorite harem hero, he should be a role model to Keitarou (love hina). I never thought someone could beat Ichika's harem of mecha girls (infinite stratos), but someone did. No nosebleeds, no redness, no beat ups. No bullshit. Nagi is the man, man. He is everything a hero should be. He's there when he's needed, he's super nice, he's smart and most of all, HE CAN HANDLE THE GIRLS. HE-CAN-HANDLE-THE-GIRLS. No one does it. Eventually, the hero breaks down in a harem. No. Not Nagi. He goes 'till the end. He blooms the romance. He's not some pussy who can't even deliver the feeling of a man. (Yes, I'm looking at you Ouma Shu. Fuck you and your Guilty Crown.)
Some might not like him for being equal to all girls, but he's really equal to all. He loves them all. He's indecisive at that. I really loved the character development in this manga, because you literally see Nagi growing up as a person. Same goes for the girls. Each go through with their developments and become the flowers they are. Soyogi is my best girl of course.
It was a while since I've enjoyed a romantic harem manga. No, I didn't enjoy any other harem manga as I've enjoyed this one. Since my expextations was so low, it easily held a place in my mind. If you're a fan of harems, romance, and characters that are grown-ups, look no further. This manga may be in your top 5 after you read it.

Oh how I've longed for this kind of anime, for a very, very long time. I watched it and while watching it I was like: "Oooh... that's the spot..." It managed to get in to my top 5 anime list, and since I'm crazy about harems and fma brotherhood, it's not an easy list to get in.
Story: A humanoid robot killed the sun, and forced doom on earth. Simple.
Yea, no. Joking. Much more to it of course. Without giving away spoilers, Under the orders from someone, Casshern killed Luna (Oh the irony, it' the moon), sun of earth, and started the end of
...
the world. Rust. Humans have created robots, and robots overthrowed humans long before. And now, they have to die with rust, Casshern's doom.
Summary, Casshern destroyed the world. Yeah. Talk about sins eh?
Art: Wonderful. Only thing that crossed my mind. Backgrounds, fairly detailed, and since it's a wasteland, it'd be a shame if they did not do that. And Casshern... oh god that smoking hot body... don't get me wrong. It's not a bishounen anime. Just... I'll explain it in the character part, since it's related to it.
Sound: CS really shines in this department too, since an orchestra was used for the soundtracks. Like Mushishi, I've downloaded most of the OST tracks to my IPod. OP and EP, both suits the mood of the anime. And lyrics makes sense. You know how long it's been since I've watched an anime that's opening song was meaningful? IT'S BEEN VERY LONG. LIKE, REALLY LONG.
Character: Uu baby, talk about development. Let's start with Casshern.
Casshern is... beautiful. He just is. He's beautiful. Elegant. Perfect design. It's not my idea, anime exploits this. They throw this to his face, how beautiful and perfect he is, not a single scratch on his body, and thus, leading to the idea of eating Casshern would grant immortality.
I am a sucker for lonely, sad MC's. Just... maybe I am an evil creature, feeding from despair, but I just do love how they are lonely, and how this is acknowledged by another characters. It hits homerun with this anime. Casshern is -and obviously- lonely. Crushed by his sin. After waking up with a memory loss, every thing on earth tries to kill him. Fighting with these, and fighting with his own mind, struggling to keep his sanity, all mixed up in a journey. God, it's perfect.
Casshern gains consciousness after waking up, thus, a heart. He hates himself, his ability to kill, and everywhere he goes, death follows. He desperately tries to find a way to save the world.
This is a dark world. A sad, very sad world. Being immortal is not a good thing for his case. Can you imagine everywhere you go, in every corpse, in every ruin, in every rusted body, you see your own sign? And come on, what can you "do" to make amends for killing the sun and dooming earth? It isn't something anyone can handle. I pity Casshern. He's without a doubt, one of my favourite MC's of all time, but he is "the" destroyer of earth.
Casshern is a kind, thougthful, rush-to-action-to-save-friends type of a man. His struggle for sanity and truth is a must-watch on it's own. But I'm not saying he's perfect. His body is yes, but his thoughts. His melancholy did feel forced for a few. But that's enough for him now.
And we have Lyuze. She's someone got very hurt by Casshern's actions, and hates him for it. She refuses to kill him until he finds out what he's done to the world, and waits for him to fall to despair. She is too, one of my favorite MC's of all time.
She is a good person, lovely one, make you fall in love with her. But her hatred for Casshern is not something to turn a blind eye. She hates his guts. You feel this. After you learn why, you support this. Her actions are completely justified. She's a good character of course, don't get me wrong.
Ringo... Uuuh Ringo. She laughs. A lot. That may be her program. She laughs at everything. You'll see what I mean. Other then this, she's like a normal child.
Friender... it's relationship with Casshern is... at best, complicated. I can't say much without spoiling, but he's the best companion Casshern could have.
Enjoyment/Overall: This anime was marvelous. Perfect. Tear-jerking. Sad. Dark. Happy. Romantic. Depressing and not depressing. Walking on a very thin line. All at once. I can't begin to tell you how perfect this journey was. Now I know that this won't be a review that reaches to front-page reviews of the anime, but I'd like to give my own opinion about it. Watch it. You can't possibly regret it.

Well, talk about another underrated series.
Angel Tales, is a very simple anime. It's just that. No huge plot-twists, no useless drama, useless elements, nothing. It's just a king of a harem anime.
Shortly put, our story starts with Goro Mutsumi, a young man with a bad luck. In his past, he took great care of lonely, stray, wounded pets, (in total 12 of them) and they wanted to repay his kindness by being his guardian angels. Simple, no?
Art is nothing outstanding, since it was a 2001 anime, still it was not outdated for it's time. Bandai Visual was lovely again.
Sound, this is where
...
anime goes north and south. Pros, some of the angel's voice actors was good and elegant. Some of the angel's... well, was not on the spot. And Goro's acting... I do know it was low on budget and it's kinda hard to find actors for all the 12 girls, so I'm letting it pass. Opening was mediocre, ending was pretty good. I downloaded it to my phone and still listen to it.
Character, this is where Angel Tales shines... yeah no. Like I said, it's a simple harem anime, and with 13 characters, it's clear that one can't develop characters. It's just Goro was a real good guy and remained that way the whole time.
Enjoyment-Overall: Well, it should be clear now that Angel Tales is a simple anime. And other than increasing the girl's number in the harem, it was nothing new. Still, the anime was full of little things that made you love it; like Goro's harmonica, or finding out that he wasn't a pussy despite his first appearence (that was a relief for me, first impressions are bad indeed) or Goro's father's last bow to the girls in episode 12. Anime was full of those little things, and it kinda made you attached to it. Of course it had it's bad moments, but pros over cons with this anime.
If you like harems, go for it. This one was a gold mine for harem-romance lovers.

Ahh harem shows... god, do I love them. I can't help myself, I'm just attracted to them. And IS, I love you the most. More then Highschool of the Dead or DxD.
Story: Let's just start by saying, it's a no-brainer. There is no plot-twists, no big good-evil battles, just some good mecha fighting, some boobs, and love for Ichika. Ichika is some kind of special boy, who is able to use the mecha's (IS) that only can be operated by women. No, nothing special behind it. He just can. Thus, he is send to the IS Academy, an all women Academy. Yeah, pretty lovely
...
harem right? So don't expect anything story-wise. Actually, don't watch it for story, since there is none. Show is awesome, but it's not trying to give us a good story.
Art: Wonderful. Top-notch. Class A. Quality. That's it.
Sound: Again, pretty good. Voices, ambiant sounds, backgrounds, all lovely. And one of the OSTS, Shiro Kishi, god it's one of the beautiful soundtracks I've ever heard. And I'm comparing it to Mushishi soundtracks.
Characters: We have Ichika, as our main lead. 5 girls, all in-love with him. (in appearance order) A childhood friend, a rich princess, another childhood friend, another girl who was sent to collect Ichika's data and was disguised as a boy (accidently, ichika finds out and after some talk, she ignores her orders and go to school with her normal appearance, don't worry), and a girl from Germany. You'll hate her in the beginning, then love her. Actually, considering the generic harem shows, this is a pretty good set of girls.
Some people hate Ichika's character, because of him being a dense dumb, still I find it quite natural. There has to be some field in Ichika's personality for the girls to make their moves. If Ichika was in-love with of the girls, then the rest wouldn't be able to advance, thus, wouldn't make it a harem show. So for this show, Ichika "has" to be dense in order to give girls some room to move. But still, f*ck you Ichika. I'm so jealous of you.
Enjoyment/Overall: Aside from being a harem show, there are pretty good mecha fights thrown in there. I mean, it's some good fighting. With boobs bouncing. GOD I F*CKING LOVE THIS SHOW.
So, watch it if you like harems. It's better then Highschool DxD in my opinion. You won't regret it.

Well hello, my Otaku friends. If you are reading this review, then you know what is good for your taste. HAREM! ECCHI! COMEDY! ROMANCE!
Of course, if they are done right. And most of the time, they fail. Maken-ki Two might be a good example for failure. Alas, that is not the case of Magikano. Dear God, wasn't it fun? I literally got myself glued to this anime, and i know why. Let me reason myself below.
I have watched many, many comedy, ecchi, harem anime, since they are (I'm not ashamed to say) my favorite. So it's quite easy for me to say "I'm an
...
expert now!" Maybe I am a perverted individual in real-life, (or Usui Takumi). But among those comedy animes I've watched, many have failed to make me laugh. Like, not even a twitch. I just stared at the screen wondering why people would try buy this piece of garbage that producers would like to call an anime.
But I laughed my ass off in Magikano. And I know why. DEAR-GOD-WAS-THAT-SOME-GOOD-VOICE-ACTING. It was WONDERFUL! Brilliant! I just had to watch to next episode after the other, and before i knew it, it was over.
Now don't get me wrong, it's not a deep anime. Half-assed story, character development etc. But that does not matter. Because it's not anime's main focus. It wants you to have fun while watching it. Even if they were not deep, I just fell in love with characters. So, wondefully portrayed! In an amusing way I mean. There are so many animes out there claiming to be fun and amusing.
The MC is a wimp. Yeah he is. But when you watch the first episode, you get the point. He holds some clique demon-king power inside of him waiting to be awakened, so he must not be aware of his powers. So he's a nerd with glasses. But being a wimp, is not being equal to being a dumb cry-bitch. (I'm looking at you Ouma Shu. Fuck you and your Guilty Crown). He got some guts, and he's smart too, for a harem MC. And it was quite refreshing that after the ecchi scenes, it was the girls who got the beating, not the boy. Normally, I hate weak characters, but since it was this shows stone-mile, I let it go, and watched him with a smile on face.
And the sisters. God those sisters. I wish I had them as mine. Not going to spoil this part, watch it.
Summary, it was nothing special, but god it was fun. Enjoyment: 10! Total 10!
Good job Magikano! (Though I'm few years late)

Ahh Steins;Gate... It was you who introduced me to MAL Top Anime list and again, it was you who made wonders after your masterfully played 24-episode anime. I mean for Merlin's Pants, just how perfect are you? (As an Anime, of course. I am not a maniac.)
Well well, here we are again, another piece of Steins;Gate heaven, presented to us in a most... delicious, shall I say? Now let's just dwell further to this review.
If you have watched the TV show before this movie -which if you didn't you wouldn't come to this page-, you know the art and sound quality. So I'm passing
...
these, just noting that voice acting was really wonderful. I'd like to mention the development of characters in this review.
--MIGHT INCLUDE SPOILER--
--ACTUALLY, IT "WILL" INCLUDE SPOILER, WATCH OUT--
(I mean the TV show, I'm not gonna spoil the movie lol.)
--ONLY READ IF YOU HAVE FINISHED THE TV SHOW--
You remember the episodes, where Okabe was desperately trying to prevent the death of his (and of course, ours) lovely childhood friend Mayuri? How he was trying to keep his sanity, after watching her death over and over, feeling completely powerless, and keep going back in time just one more time save her, and couldn't talk about it to anyone?
Remember his loneliness? His pain?
Those episodes left a great impact on me, since Okabe Rintarou wasn't any other MC, he was Houovin Kyouma, mad scientist, who could take on CERN, destroy aliens, stop time and save the world. Not that he did any of those... maybe the time part. And the world. And CERN. -SERN-
In the animes I watch, I always want someone to acknowledge the MC's pain and loneliness, even if that person is holding his feelings back. I don't know. Maybe that's a feeling I have about personal life. Giving half of your weight to someone, I believe that's the biggest relief anyone can have. And this movie delivers that. It understands Okabe's loneliness, his past, his actions, his character, his pain, and voila! Lends him a hand.
Don't get me wrong. This movie's MC is Makise Kurisu, and while she does a great job about being a MC, I'll get to her in a minute.
What I want to say, is that Okabe's, -and everyone's- character development is improved, even if it seems impossible after that TV show. The last bit that tied me to the Okabe Rintarou %100 was his farewell to Kurisu with one word before his disappearence: "Forget." That one word alone says a lot about one's character, and makes his stand in the tier of MC's.
Ah Kyouma... you'll always be my favorite character, don't you worry. Now let's move onward to Kurisu.
She starts as a side-character, or at least, you get that feeling, before the movie's angle slowly turns to her. She doesn't remember the events of Okabe's past, since it was in a different time-line, she has these deja-vu's. Only for little things, such as a spoon and a fork. But these deja-vu's slowly build-up, and finally reaches a breaking point. We see their romance in a most beautiful way, between a love-immature couple, and her struggle to honor Okabe's wish for her, and to see him again.
I finally felt relieved after someone understood what Okabe went through after his days of time-jumping. Kurisu understands that pain, not being able to save the person you love, and being reminded of this fact everytime you try again, she strengthens her bond with Okabe after realizing his state of mind. I loved her character for that, it was something real, not pushed, not over-dramatic, not... well, bad. It was not bad. Her actions was completely justified and believable. I mean, even her blushing in front of Okabe. It's not some high-school romance, it's someone's real feelings who never experienced love or a kiss for that matter.
Mayuri... well, there's a lot of fire about this character. Let me just say, she is not stupid.
Let me say it again, not stupid. Yes, she is slow, and she doesn't have a high IQ, but she's not stupid. She's someone who... completes the lab. Someone who "finishes" the characters. She was a glue, or an important piece of brick. Her character is full of moe yes, but she is a deep character. Not in a wise-man deep way, but as far as emotions goes, she was the real deal. Maybe you would feel different about her character, but I felt that she was someone who couldn't be replaced.
About the rest of the side-characters along with Mayuri, they finish the movie, but -obviously- they don't get much screen time.
Overall, this movie was fantastic. I mean, it really way. Quite wonderful indeed.
Watch it. You're missing a lot. In fact, you lost a lot of time reading this review instead of watching the movie.

Well. This is my first time writing a review, and I registered to MAL especially for this anime.
For this piece of dirt that was summoned from the deepest depths of hell...
Let's start, eh? We'll review the anime part by part.
First, story. (6)
Anime starts with a blast, causing unaware viewers to raise their hopes for this anime. And let's say, for a few episodes, I was one of them.
Story follows a teenager named Ouma Shu, who by the way, is a wimp. But one of a kind. There is so much I want to say to him, but gonna save it for the Character
...
part. If you read the summary of the anime, you can see it's a pretty generic shounen anime, that brings nothing new to the anime world and just... well. 'till the end, it won't leave the way of being generic, I'll give it that. But what is this show's point? Another Code Geass? Many have failed there, my dear friends, and don't be mistaken, Guilty Crown didn't make any groundbreakes. Actually, it failed miserably. Because there is no system. First half and the second half of the anime, completely different. In the first half, you can understand things, feelings, thoughts. But second half... I mean, wtf? This cannot be possible, since it's practically impossible to make such a mess, it leaves you with a feeling of chaos.
Art. (10)
Art is quite wonderful. I mean, it is really wonderful. Fight scenes, backgrounds, character's bodies and faces, all in a sync, it's almost refreshing to the eyes. Nothing bad, or if there was, I didn't catch it.
Sound (9)
This is one of my weak points. My ears are not good enough to make a decent comment like most of you, but I'll say that nothing made me uncomfortable. Background music matched with the fighting scenes, and the voice actresses of characters were chosen with great care. Nice job.
Character (5)
And now, most awaited part of this review. Character. Let's just start by saying, "fuck you, shu!"
Ouma Shu... he's definetly in the lowest tier of MC's. No one can be a bigger pussy than him. It's just not possible. Having dropped a quite a lot anime for their weak, pussy MC's, I'm going to say it took all I have to watch all the 22 episodes to write this review. I can't even begin to understand why people love this wimpy, pathetic MC's. I even punched the wall while watching the anime, 'cuz he made me mad. Character development for Shu was... well, bad. He never acted out on being a pussy, actually he made it clear that he will be a pussy 'till the day he dies, 'cuz that's just him. He actually ran off from his group which he "willingly" joined, well because, they needed him to act like a man. But no! God no! Oh heaven's no! Don't let Shu be a man, please god! Let him grow a vagina, and let him join Ichika's harem of wonderful mecha girls! Well, guess what you pathetic human being, if you don't want to act up, do something, or just even say something, DON'T GO TO THE PLACES WHERE YOU HAVE TO DO THOSE. Actually, if you can, please just die. But wait, there's more! When you get to the second half, he goes bad-ass, ruthless, and a piece of shit. Don't get me wrong, his bad-ass phase was even more girlier then any GF's I had, and trust me my otaku friends, I have the experience. He's just... oh my god. Why does characters like him get to be the MC, and good characters like Gai just goes unimportant? Anyway. I'm leaving him now. I'm not done swearing on that moron, but I'll be doing that verbally while writing the review.
Inoha... well, she's a bitch. Yeah. I really didn't get how she turned out to be a good character, but she was a bitch. She admitted that she was using her girliness to get Shu to join her terrorist group, (don't worry, no spoilers. She says that in the start) and then story picked up for her from there. But let me go back to Shu, how he was after Inoha said she tricked him to join the group, how a little crying bitch he is, and an episode later, voila! He goes back to be her little dog, who pets him around like the little puppy he is. I mean, you have to be somewhat angry right? When you learn that she tricked you, she gave you hope of love then ripped that dream apart... No! Of course not. Be the little pussy you are, and totally go all over her!
Good job Inoha, for driving that bitch around.

I had hopes for this anime. High hopes, I dare to say. Well, thanks to Ouma Shu, my hopes were shattered like when William Wallace found out those pussy Scot lords turned him over to the Brits. I couldn't swallow my pride as a man and as a viewer, and for every few minutes, I punched something. MC really ruined the show for me.
If you like a pussy, spoiled little brats who turns into a girly bad-ass in the second half for a MC, then go for it. Art and sound is pretty good anyway, so...
Well good luck. Find the jewelry in this anime which I failed to find.
