So as I pray... Unlimited Blade Works!

So after completely watching fate/zero in excitement, I decided to watch fate/stay night. But meh, this show is ain't nothing but raw adaptation from the visual novel. It's bland, uncreative and give me sick.

It start out with good or I can say, I pretty enjoy it at first. It's funny, the plot is good and doesn't make me confuse and I'm like hmm. this show is good, it's not really bad as it says (I have seen the reviews before I decided to watch it) but then the nightmare comes... story that pretty good, imaginative at first changed ... into some kind of children lullaby, makes me sleepy as when I watched suzumiya's endless eight. But I keep my feet stand, keep my eyes open and decided to watch more and more episodes. I think the story will develop in the middle but I was wrong, the story just become worsen. The only excitement I got is just when berserker fight against archer. And then I watched episode 20 and I found something that I really hate to be in an action anime. Romance! Yes, I'm really fucked up when a master can falling in love with his servant. And it just really? Master love servant? I think I better watch some yuri than romance like this. I never think that this "fate" can turned into romance thing. But personally I don't hate romance, maybe that is just trauma after I watched sao.

Then the art. What can you expect from 2006 art? Yes I admit it, it's old anime so I don't hope ufotable art to be in here. But I really disappointed with it battle scenes. I hope I can see some pretty cool fighting scenes but no, or just some which can I say pretty cool. So if you want to watch this because its action, I rather say no and go watch something else. The action is horrible. The animation is also not really good. So I don't think you can get much excitement when watching the action scenes.

An OP in action animes should be powerful, adrenaline pumping, gives you excitement even you haven't watch the series yet. But I don't find it in the OP of the first half. It's boring, it just like you put ABBA or Wham! to work on an OP. But I think this is perfect because the anime itself it's boring. And yep, the second OP is good. I like it. The ED? Forget it. I always skipped ED and I think you do as well.

Okay now the characters. It's BAD. I don't see much development in it. Shirou is just a guy that think that he is the man of justice, but the fact is shirou himself is weak and he reminds me with Yukki in Mirai Nikki (I feel sad Kiritsugu decided to adopt him) Thanks to Saber so he can live longer. He is some kind of useless character, unlike his father which is cool and energetic. Saber is a female king, resurrected accidentally by Shirou. Sad for her to have master like that, I think she should have master like Rin and Shirou will have servant that look like him. Since the story just follows Shirou, Saber and Rin, the other characters just don't have a chance to get character development so I feel disappointed with that, and when they can get a chance of development Deen decided to put some fillers. I think if they can focus the story on all master, the story can be more interesting and enjoyable.

And for the end, I give fate/stay night seven because it doesn't have a good story, the character development is bad and there is romance that I never expected to be in here. And for those who want to watch this but haven't watched fate/zero yet I really recommend you to watch fate/zero first because the story, characters, art, animation etc. is far better from this.

Childhood is something that filled with bliss and happiness, but what happen if you lost your friend when you still a little child?

Ano Hana tells about Jintan, who can see the ghost of his childhood friend, Henma. But now, he and all of his childhood friends has changed. They're not same as before, when they still playing together, grief together, smile and laugh together. Jintan try to unite his friends and together make their friendship back .

The story itself is pretty usual, nothing really special about the plot but I really like the way they present it. It's really unique the story is really natural ... and represent the meaning of life is, there's no forced conflicts and that what I like in here. The story is flows, but it grows in you. And watching this makes you feel that you have become the "actor" in the story than the viewer, and it just makes you feeling like back to your childhood life.

The art is great, I love that lighting. And also, the OP and ED is nice. Overall, the art and sound is good and fit to the story.

Ah, now characters, part that I really like in here. When everyone is developed and well.. changed. Jintan become more "open" and have more brighten view of the future. Yukiatsu become more straightforward to himself and others, and from what I see, he is the character who changed more than other. He seems to be more happier. Anjou has throw away her jealously and more admiring others. Poppo has become more straightforward. He can more "open" to his feelings to others and of course.. Menma.

Ano Hana is of course, not an ordinary anime. It's a true masterpiece. It's not easy to find a slice of life anime that has a beautiful drama in it. It gives you hearwarming feels, but gives you sad story as well.

Because I watched the season 1 and 2 simultaneously, this will be the review for both seasons

Fate/Zero told the story about fourth holy grail war. Seven masters and their servants fight together in order to use the mighty power of holy grail, that known can make any hope and wish to be true.

Action animes usually filled with fighting, explosions and not really focuses on the story, but this one is different, fate/zero can make a really good yet complex story through it deep and emotional dialogues. Plus, a lot of unpredictable twist make the story is even more interesting.

The art is gorgeous, it's perfect. Both ... of its character or its background. All drew perfectly, even there are some part especially in the latest episode when they reduce the quality in texture and color, but still awesome and just really good. The animation is also great, the character move really smooth and especially for berserker, I can't imagine how they can put that kind of art and animation like that in this anime, last time I see art and animation like that is on some "expensive budget" animation west films. The color gradation puts perfectly, it successfully bring the dark atmosphere which fits to the story throughout the show.

The music are nice, bring me pumped sometime. And the BGM is also good, it really fit to the scenes like deep conversation, battle scene, sad moments etc.

Now the characters... Unlike most anime when only focusing on the main character, fate/zero focuses on all seven masters and their servants.
Character development is what I like in here, Saber who was acting heroic to her people and believe that her way of justice is right just totally wrong. She just turn into different person, who look the world into a more and wider visions. The other characters also have a big development which I can't put it here because most of them contains major spoiler.

For those who love serious action animes, I really recommend this show for you.

Destiny is something that cannot changed by anyone, everybody has it own destiny, either is good or bad.

It tells the story about two siblings that losing their daughter. They told to find what called "penguindrum" in order to save her. But not everyone can be saved, there is always many things hindered their way. At the start, you might be confused by the meaning of destiny is. What's the relation of it and why the word destiny repeated a lot of time? Well, it was the story about. How people to reach and change destiny that has destined to them.

Mawaru Penguindrum has a slow development ... on plot, but it will grows on you. You will able to get the feeling of dark mysterious fantasy-like that it brings. The story might be confusing at first, but then it began to revealed one by one throughout the story. And beware of plot twist, because everything will just so far of what you expected.

Once more that the story is unusual for an anime. It just weird. How can you make the story about destiny and you focuses on that? That is what makes Mawaru Penguindrum is so special. The story are original and what makes it really good that they can show it perfectly, how destiny affected you, your sibling, your friend and even you parents. And then, everything just turn around to the meaning of destiny itself.

There also a lot of flashbacks in this anime. But it really crucial, since the flashbacks will tell about their past, origins and what happen so the story of anime in present are act that way. And with no exception of what destiny described in this anime is.

Character is one of my liking in here. They just absolutely mindfucking twist. Everyone that you think are just supporting or not much influence on the story will blow your mind, and the fact, they're all have influence to the story. And also, not everyone is good. Everybody has it own dark side and Mawaru Penguindrum successfully to show the dark side of their characters. But at first, you might told that every characters just show as you saw it first or I mean your first impression, but then it will turn to be not. Some characters maybe have a typical behavior as other anime when a hero is going to save someone and it shows in what I said a good way, when this anime show it in a strange but beautiful way.

The art is good, but not flawless. The color seems not very smooth and also the character design are somewhat not really good. Just like typical character that drew without much effects or editing. The girls are not shown to be really cute, moe or heroic face sort of that, they just typical, typical human figure. So, the design are not really special. But those penguins are really cute.

The BGM is also good, it matched with the scenes. The OP are somewhat strange. Usually, you find the OP is powerful and give you pump. But not for this.

It's good to watch honestly, even with those dark mystery it brings. There still a lot of comedy you will find and some of them are really funny. Just like a great refresher when you watched a weighted anime.

This show obviously not for everyone, especially who don't like heavy, weighted story. You will not able to understand much about the story and what actually happen in there. But, if you're a fan of weighted story anime just said suzumiya haruhi or monogatari series. This show is good for you.

A beautiful movie that will play your emotions. Happy, sad, desperate, heart-breaking story are combined into this one hour movie.

The story itself isn't bad. It has a good concept and also the way they show it is good. But just one, this movie lacks of story, there's nothing to tell except Tohno and Akari's love and Sumida who in crush with him. One more point is that there is no serious conflict, just full of beauty in one hour. It's like daily life. You make relationship, you break it, you forget it. Just as simple as that.

The art is just flawless. they're just doing their ... best in here. The sky, the night stars. It also the important thing that make this movie is beautiful, as the cherry blossom grows in the spring.

One of the problem is the characters. There's not much story about who is Tohno, who is Akari. The only thing about their past is about how they're meet, the story then flows until they're grown up. Character development is also very few in here. There is no sudden change in behavior or thought within the characters, in the end Tohno and Akari you know is just same as they're in the beginning of the story, the only thing that is changed just their relationship.

The sound are amazing especially the ending song. All your emotions, happy, sad etc. are just explode, then fly away far to the sky. There is no hidden expressions left after you watch this. Just an absolutely great ending.

Overall, this movie is meant to be feel, how beauty is their love and how sad that it ends. Just like a flower, it will bloom, but then it will withered.

This manga is the one of many mangas out there that I really like. First of al I want to said about the story. Madoka Magica has a complex but well told story. And the whole story itself is well built with an enormous ending that you can't expect with. The death, the twist and everything! Many things in here that you may never thinking about so it's hard to guess the story unless you had read all the series and that is what makes the story really good. And last, I love the originality of this series, since there were no mangas that had ... similar story as Madoka Magica

The art in this manga isn't bad. Even it's look bizzare but that stil acceptable for me. They drew the characters and the details (weapons, background) nicely except during the fight scenes, they didn't drew it really nice, so it's a bit hard to follow their actions. But still, this manga has great art instead.

Third is the character, I found that the character is well designed. From their clothes, weapons and personality. For the weapon and clothes, it's good since they didn't add to many details in their clothes and weapons, but not really simple as well. Then their personality, the personality of each character is really hard to guess, especially Homura. I didn't wan't to spoiler but her personality is different when first you see her and when Walpurgis attack. So that what is one of the "twist" that this series given and I kinda like it.

If you looking for action but dramatical manga serial. I really recommend to read this one. But I also recommend this for those who start reading mangas because this one is really good manga. And for those who has watched the anime and if you like it, maybe you can read the manga as well since the manga has some differences (in art) compared to the anime.
