Thanks for asking, firstly I'm a design student so I've been doing design for a while now but recently I did some of my about me stuff and other design stuff.
I started off with making twitter banners and following tutorials from Xpress.
I suggest following his videos cause thats what helped me get better.
I do use photoshop as well.
