The story of this is very emotional for the slamdunk fans, was for me because the firts time i watched slamdunk i was 12 years old so very emotional feelings.
I cried when I watched Hanamichi and Rukawa's first pass. I had read the manga and always wanted to see this game animated. The animation style might not be for everyone; it feels weird at the beginning, but you get used to it over time. The side story about Ryota Miyagi seemed a bit unnecessary and I feel it wastes about an hour, but it ultimately contributes to the film's development.
