Dungeon Meshi, an anime where a small party dives deep into a Dugeon with no funds in the hopes of finding a lost party member.
With a party you easily fall in-and-out of love with at times, this group of a tall man, elf, half-foot and dwarf easily become unstoppable to watch. With every twist and turn into the Dungeon, we get to see the skills, bad habits and realistic characters traits (being shrewd, clumsy but not to the extreme and careless) that make these characters feel a little real in a world thats unbelievably magical.
Learning about all the magical beasts, how they can be transformed ... into delicious looking dishes and seeing the twists and turns from every floor as the team beveled deeper was a blast.
In my heart this animated series is a 10/10, but after marinating in the 24 episode binge for a bit a would actually give it a 9/10 for one thing. Character building. Just like it real life, it's hard to open up to people at times, and thats what we got to experience in this party. I haven't read the mange yet, so I'm not sure if the character backgrounds are introduced earlier (or even ever), but as a watched I feel like they can toss a little "character know-how" in every now and then. Things like why they don't talk to family, who is waiting for them to get back onto the surface, why they need the money so badly, why a or b is so important to them, etc.

If you enjoyed Dungeon Meshi, then you might like some of the following:
- Frieren (for the urge of a magical world thats building right in front of your eyes, and characters you can't take your eyes off)
- Golden Kamuy (amazing fights, learning about the Ainu culture and amazing meals that will make your mouth water)
- Konosuba (getting to love the characters in a magical isekai world with way too many laughs)

Ping Pong the Animation showed the struggle on loving something, and forgetting why you loved it.

The anime walks us through the life of Makoto Tsukimoto (Smile) and Yutaka Hoshino (Peco) who are obsessed with Ping Pong. But sometimes when you love something for too long, you forget how you got there and why you even do in the first place. Follow these two journeys through the wins, loses, practicing until you puke and learning that by saying it thrice a hero will enter when you need them the most.

Although I loved the anime, I'll be giving it a 8/10 for two things:
The animation; I personally ... loved it. It felt purposeful, was powerful at the most important matches and something about the mouth expressions really got to me... but since this style can be considered so "artistic/ugly" it's hard to recommend to anyone in my personal life, which makes be bring down the rating mark. But I hope other can looking past the "ugliness" and enjoy the story of Smile and Peco.

What an enjoyable watch!

"A sign of Affection" is a unique Shoujo Manga about Yuki Itose, a young girl living her everyday life never hearing a single sound in her life. By chance, she meets a man named Itsuomi Nagi on train trying to explain to him that she can't hear. As a man who loves to connect through language, he begins to get interested in her. But this isn't just a one sided interest. Both of them begin to want to learn more about each-other. How they see the world, favourite foods, hobbies and themselves.

You get too see Yuki's world slowly grow, see the difficulties ... of being deaf in everyday life and a couple side romances as well.

Side note; I caught up on the manga before picking up the anime. I love how they ended on a note where they could easily pick up and start a second season, continuing to hone the original story... OST is also a 10/10 (gives me butteries).

This review will be based off of being able to consistently watch all the episodes together (Part 1 and 2 together).

We get to watch Senkuu and the gain overcome the stone world using modern technology to fly, develop crops/agriculture, machines to dig for minerals and of course transportation that can take you across the world. With a new Science team formed, they take everyone on an adventure to find more ways to develop the revival fluid.
On their adventures, they're always prepared for the unexpected. But when they reach the island where the past astronauts started it all, they run into a little trouble with a ... Kingdom thats been around for centuries.

I've loved Dr Stone since it was first aired in 2019. Watching the development slowly happen around Senkuu because of all the knowledge he holds and will gladly share. I never thought the show would have plot armour, but Part 2 seemed to have a little bit of it (even though they used Science to solve everything, it did seem a little convenient in the best ways possible). And most importantly the OST for New World was a BANNER as expected from the previous seasons.

I'd recommend this series for anyone who enjoyed the first two season (for obvious reasons) and needs a little change of pass in their current choice of binge (you get a healthy dose of laughter and knowledge in every episodes).

Finally caught up on Ancient Magus Bride S2 P2!

Loved the continuation of Chise Hatori's life, and getting to see Elias Ainsworth in an uncomfortable setting. But as I suspected, the season felt a little boring/dragged-out multiple times throughout both parts. Not sure if it's because its a school setting, or the pressure of having to feel empathic towards all the new characters who've made an impact in Chise's new school life.

I loved the happy ending, but wish we got there faster... and with a lot less questions that'll need to be dragged into the new season/chapter they've announced "The Fiendlane".

The animation wasn't not worthy as ... well... I find this hard to recommend to someone, after enjoying the first season and OVAs so much. If you didn't care for the first season very much, don't continue with the series then. But if you got hooked and want to see how Chise grows, then go ahead and stick around! I'll be doing it for the next season/chapter for sure (even after all my complaints).

Season two has come to a close, and is leaving me wanting more!

Continuing from season one, we get a deeper dive into the lives of the main cast. With romantic twists all around, getting to understand why certain characters act the way they do and how their current struggles are actually helping them pull forward and try even harder the next day.

Although most of the animation is CGI, it gives the anime even more character and makes it stand out in the crowd. OST gets stuck in my head after episode. Lastly, I'm always hoping for the best for our young duke Viktor for he's ... always meticulous about how to approaches everyone around him with a smile and fantastic attitude.

A series I've been holding off on for awhile, because I knew I would absolutely love it. Let's get into it.

In this peaceful kingdom, two odd balls exist. Kage, the last of his kind and then the first Prince Bojji. With using each other intentionally every day too feel a sense of peace, the two grow unconditionally close to each other.
Then when trouble stirs up in the kingdom, these two are sent on a quest to become stronger for self growth and learning how important courage is when fighting yours fears.

The world that's been built in this series was beautiful. There might've been some holes ... into characters backgrounds, why people turned out a certain way and where people came from in the first place. But thankfully, a second season has come out where will possibly get some answers (or maybe just some fun side stories).

If you enjoyed Bojjis character building and the world, I would highly suggest you watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or Mob Psycho. Both have amazing worlds, character building and don't forget OSTs (^3^)

A sweet BL to have a soft cry, laughs and heart throbs too.

We open with Shun Hashimoto, always looking the way of a boy who stays by himself by the water. Although he does hold concern for the boy, he has a lot more interest in him then just his well being. With try and try again, the two end up getting closer and learn about one another. Unfortunately, the quiet boy by the water needs to depart from their small island, but leaving a promise to come back in the future when he becomes an adult.

The years flew by in the flash of an ... eye, with Shun continuing his work like always not giving a second thought to the person who will be moving into his residence. And would ya look at that, the boy from the water, Mio Chibana, comes back to Shun with full force after wanting to see him for years.

Watch these two learn about each-others past, learn about dealing with external criticism/comments and find love within each other.

If you enjoyed the manga, then this movie is an ABSOLUTE MUST for you! The pages have come to life, and the sweet OST to go along with each and every scene is soooo swweeeeeettt!!!
I would also suggest this movie to anyone who wants to start BL. This isn't intense like other series, is easy to ingest, easy on the eyes and ears... and let's face it, if this sweet series doesn't get ya hooked on sweet BL romances then I don't know what will.

An anime that looked absolutely tempting in the trailers, turned out to be a completed utter bust. Let's get into it.

Chateau Dankworth is working yet another day as a Bounty Hunter, and runs into a suspicious man on one of her jobs who gladly states him name is Ryang-ha Song. Ryang-ha has Cahteau right under his thumb, and if she wants to live another day then she'll have... go on a date with him.

I would've usually loved this troupe ("I don't want to go on a date with the suspicious guy, wait he's actually sweet, I love how soft he is on the inside, he'll ... only show this side to me" kind of thing), but Chateau was an absolute knob during the whole show, she didn't care about her job what so ever (and never really explained WHY she had to be a bounty hunter), there wasn't any character building till the last two episodes (which wouldn't usually be bad, if they hasn't filled the rest of the anime with awkward silences, random fights that didn't need to happen, awkward scenes with interesting animation, etc.) and then to top it all off there was the "I'll be nice to you... no, actually, I'll kill you" every episode as well.

If this really does get a second season, I hope the Studio decides to redo the anime altogether and possibly make the story a little concise, easier to watch on the eyes and mind and actually character building from start to finish? So many unnecessary things were added (the bosses rich ass wife, the multiple kids of the ex-trigger guy, and what happened to the one guy who got picked up from the street) and so many things weren't touched upon (how the adopted dad died, AGAIN why Chateau had to be a Bounty Hunter of all things... and is no one interested in why Jim can't die from getting shot IN HIS SKULL???)

This review is mostly a rant fro better or worst, but the characters and ending have potential. I hope other assassin x bounty hunter esc stories get adapted in the future.

Being a student is stressful as it is, but being a student who can't get a wink of sleep at night is utter chaos. The sound of the newspaper boy, shutter doors slamming, dogs barking and the morning alarming telling you too move when you haven't even slept. Nakami Ganta seems to be the only one in his world in this situation, and thanks to his cranky attitude due to lack of sleep no one seems to care about his position.

Even after sleepless nights, being ordered around by his classmates and teachers telling him how to run his life, he still follows the rules and ... listens to every gruelling word. But thankfully on a little errand, he was able to run into someone who understands his situation perfectly. Stress, endless thoughts about the days ahead, the "why did I do that" and of course the "why didn't I do that". This little errand brought together two people who would change each-others sleepless nights into sleepless adventures that would widen their horizons and clear their minds.

Such a sweet OST to go with a soft slice-of-life, high-school, romance.
I wouldn't suggest this anime for the animation quality (although it was certainly beautiful when it needed to be), but for anyone who enjoys soft hearted series to warm the soul, to fill the nights with a little noise, to romanticize the moments we take for granted and a slow burn romance with no regrets. If you enjoyed this 13 ep series, I would highly suggest these as well:
