The males in both anime are very alike - the cool guys who have plenty of girls waiting for them. Plus, the animation style are very similar to each other. All in all, they are both simple shoujo anime: and if you liked one of these anime - you're definitely going to like the other one.

Both shows feature a few teenagers who are interested in mecha and the setting is in the not-too-distant future. The teens spend a lot of their time in a garage and discuss the robots. Also, in both of the series, there is a bit of politics/conspiracies mixed in. Although the vibe of both series are a bit unlike each other - some of the character's personalities in both series are similar to each other. For example, both the RN and RB main female characters are persistent and are focused on reaching their goals and have a bond with their robot/RideBack.

Although the main theme of both anime are pretty far from each other, they are alike in many ways. In One Outs case - the sponsor - and in Rainbow's case - the warden. Along with this, both anime also have a similar 'vibe' or atmosphere and rely heavily on the dialogue and narrator.

Both animes revolve around the main character who is a skilled fighter and does their job of protecting someone. The person they are protecting both hold a power that must not end up in the wrong hands or there will be extreme consequences. The animes also include great fighting scenes.

Both anime revolve around a young boy who is learning about himself and his powers. Although the powers are a bit different, the boys are very alike in personality. A lot of resemblance to the art and the characters personalities. Although both animes give totally different vibes than each other, if you enjoy the characters of this show then you probably will enjoy K-Ons characters..
