*This Review applies for both Season 1 and Season 2*
Very rarely I will find a series with such an absurd premise that is so very very funny. Arakawa Under the Bridge I will dare say tops on my list of funniest animes. I have seen this series about 3 times (Both Season 1 and 2)
Summary: Born into a wealthy familly, Ichinomiya Kou experienced the harshness of the business world early. The Ichinomiya family lives by the creed never to owe anyone anything. One day after Kou's pants are taken by a group of teens and put on the top of the bridge, Kou happens to
...
fall off into a river while retrieving them. It is there he happens to be saved by a strange blonde woman. Unable to let a debt such as this go by he promises to give the woman anything she wishes for. The woman's wishes for Kou to love her, as if fulfilling a wish like that wasn't hard enough he finds out that she thinks shes from the planet Venus. Follow Kou as he triest to fulfill this request while encountering the many other strangers that live under the bridge.
Plot: The whole plot is so unique and always keeps me laughing. Very rarely will I find a plot like this that's partly based in reality, and partly just absurd. I'll try my best not to spoil but this series doesn't have a real solid plot or goal. If you're looking for a series with a solid storyline this probably isn't the best place to find it. Though when this series did decide to buckle down and try to get serious it still had me on the edge of my seat with laughter.
Characters: This series had some of the most Ludicrous and strangest characters I have ever seen. Not to say I didn't love them all. Each character came with their own absurd and extravagant personality that just made me love them all. Aside from Kou and Nino there aren't really that many character developments but their uniqueness makes up for it entirely.
Art: Art was okay, nothing too bad or too good I would have to say about it.
Sound: One of the things I really enjoyed about this series were the sound tracks. All of the opening and endings songs were really good, and went well with the series. (They were just as strange as it was)
Overall: Overall this series is a Gem to me. I had found it with no prior knowledge, just watching it because I was bored, but I have never once regretted it. This series is filled with Ludicrous characters and absurd events, that made me laugh and always brightened my day. If you're looking for a hard core story with lot of plot developments that gets really dramatic this probably isn't the series you're looking for, but if you're looking for a series that will leaving you laughing with characters you'll end up really loving this is probably the place. Arakawa Under the Bridge 9/10

This review goes for both Sora no Otoshimono and it's second season Forte. Sora no Otoshimono is one of the funniest series that I have ever seen. This series is funny, can get serious at moments, has a terrific cast of characters.
Story: I'll say this, Sora's ANIME has no real plot. Aside from the season finales and a few things that go on in between, there is no real story line. When I watched Sora I accidentally watched it's second season first having no prior knowledge of the first. I wasn't too lost and all the really important things that I needed to know
...
were in flashbacks. If you really want plot you should read the manga. It's like the anime but with a bit more things to the plot. (Also the ending of Forte doesn't exactly go with the manga, everything else does as far as I can remember.)
Character: I loved loved loved the characters in Sora. The Main Character is a pervert who really makes no attempt to hide it, but also has a heart of gold. The Angeloids are a very fun bunch. All of them are funny in their own way and have 1 thing in common, they're clueless. In fact all the girls in the Sora series was very well done, all of them were funny and enjoyable, from the cunning School President, to the Clueless Angeloid, to the Childhood Friend who keeps him in line, they always keep me laughing.
Overall: Overall the Sora no Otoshimono series was very good and one of my favorite animes. This anime was funny and well done, it has it's dark moments but always keeps you laughing and the lovable characters are just a joy. If you're looking for an anime series that will keep you laughing and you don't mind a little ecchi, or an anime that is just a good ecchi, or just a good ecchi anime in general, watch Sora no Otoshimono. (If you truly want more read the manga.)

I will say that R-15 was not anything special. In all honesty at times I found it downright boring at parts. In fact it took me 3 tries to get though it. Its not that this show was bad, I just believe it was badly done.
Story: This anime was about a teenage porno writer who attends a school for the exceptionally gifted. If anything I would say parts of the plot is what drew me away from this anime. The relationship between the main character and most of the girls is the cliched "dere" relationships. The plot was really nothing exceptional itself and really bored
...
me at times.
Character: The characters were truly the only real reason I stuck though with this show. I myself enjoy the eccentric type of characters such as the ones in this series. The main character being a scorned Porno writer really interested me and I actually kinda enjoyed how he was depicted. Not only him but many of the girls as well were funny with eccentric personalities and made me enjoy the anime. The only character I really found lack luster was the main girl, the clarinet player. Even though she was suppose to be a shy type who doesn't always show her emotions. I believe that she was uninteresting and that she was a real bore throughout the entire show. In animes i'm used to seeing characters either really unemotional or showed emotions very willingly. The main girl in this anime was in between, and being as such I don't believe she was a good choice for her position.
Art: The aren't wasn't too especially good or too especially bad. It was normal.
Music: In all honesty I didn't really like the songs in this series. In animes I usually find many of the songs to be entertaining and catchy, but for this series, even though it involved musical virtuosos, I didn't find a song I found catchy.
Overall: Overall this series really wasn't something exceptional. If you watch it you may have the same experience as me, getting bored partway though and dropping it even though you had times you enjoyed. You may end up liking this series, but this is just my experience with it. R-15 was nothing exceptional and the characters are really what I thought were the only good points of the show.

Lately I have been going though many of Miyazaki's works and I believe this is one of his better pieces. Castle in the Sky is one of Miyazaki's early works from the 1980's and tells a tale of a boy and girl and their adventures in finding the Kingdom in the sky, Laputa.
Many of Miyazaki's pieces tend to have whimsical aspects that people have come to expect as Miyazaki fans. Castle in the Sky is probably one of better pieces where his whimsy really exudes. Watching Castle in the Sky I was taken on an exciting journey from start to finish.
Story: The plot is
...
as mentioned before. A boy and a girl's adventure to the Castle in the Sky, Laputa. When watching a movie most have a tendency to uninterested me and that didn't change in the movie. Aside from that the Journey to Laputa was a joy ride, from being chased by Pirates to flying in the sky each moment had me wanting more and more. Though the ending is a classic Miyazaki having the watcher imagine what comes next.
Art: Mind you this movie is from the 1980's so its not going to have state of art 2014 animation. I will say for the time period the art was well done. Having seen a decent amount of anime I can say with certainly it is better than some of the art of it's predecessors
Character: This movie while brilliantly done, is made so that both adults and children can enjoy it. This being the case I believe that the characters weren't very deep. The characters were funny, enjoyable, and well crafted.
Overall: I believed that Castle in the Sky was a very good movie. Many of Miyazaki's films are enjoyable and should be watched. Older movies aren't usually aren't the most interesting, but one as well crafted as this is good even today. If you're looking for a good Miyazaki film this one should definitely make your list, it also shows that even in his early days Miyazaki films were really good.

This series is a very strange one. I will say I didn't think that the anime was as well done as the manga. When I first saw this series I couldn't understand it and quit after episode 2, Afterwards I read the manga and came back to watch it to really understand.
Art: In all honesty I like to take a chance on series that were bold enough to go with a different art style like Ping Pong the Animation. But I thought this series took a chance and it didn't pay off. I'll honestly say it was unique but the animation wasn't worth it because
...
it does put off more people than it gets.
Music: I'll say that I loved the changing opening songs, the opening songs were always weird yet sounded fun (read the subtitles) and the music played in the very creepy or weird parts were nice. I will say honestly that I didn't really enjoy the ending song, it was weird but I found it a bit too strange.
Characters: The characters were actually decently done. I enjoyed how Kasuga and his others were done. The only character that I really didn't like all that well was Nakamura, she didn't sound the way I really imagined during the manga and at some parts during the anime I thought she wasn't was well portrayed as in the.
Plot: Absolutely loved this story. Displays a teenage darkness that we don't see in many series. This story is not about the popular guy getting harems, or regular teenage passion, its about an outcast teenage and the crappy world surrounding him, which makes this series really unique.

Okay so this is my first anime review ever so please bear with me. At first glance this series may seem like a strange find, and due to its art style many find it unappealing at first, but this series certainly proves that art isn't everything to an anime.
Art: The art style is unique in a word. Many think if the art bad so is the series, but the art style certainly goes well with the story and does catch the watcher's attention.
Music: The Music for this series was just perfect. Each song went well the tense or funny or sad scene. The song
...
I enjoyed the most would have to be the ending song. After seeing such a good episode leaving us on a cliffhanger or tense scene hearing the ending song would just leave me in awe and give me a hunger for more.
Character: The characters were so well done. All of the characters have a unique personalities that suited their characters very nicely, but the 2 that certainly stand out are Smile and Peco's. Their relationship as hero and robot really made this anime as great as it is.
Overall I found this anime very enjoyable. Many underestimate this anime at first glance due to the art style. But for those who take the chance to watch it and stick to it, you wont regret it.
