Goth is a short read with a very interesting initial premise, dark ambience, and nice art. The first chapter had me hooked, and I was excited to see what would come next - but, by the end of the five chapters, it manages to fall flat extremely fast.
There were several plot points and conclusions that felt too contrived, or too conveniently placed for the sake of adding a twist or surprising the reader. The story also manages to completely brush aside some of the story elements that it introduces in the first chapter after presenting them as if they were going to be a major ... focus in the story; it ended up feeling like the first chapter came from a completely different story than the latter chapters. It was also clear that the final chapter was meant to surprise the reader with how it panned out, but each step of it was too predictable to really accomplish that in my opinion.

Still, it's a really short manga with cool art and ambience; it's mediocre overall and I'm still glad I read through it, so solely personal enjoyment is why I give it any higher than a 5/10. But, I can't deny that the story and writing was disappointing.

Link Click is a really enjoyable show, and a pleasant surprise for me. It's my first time watching a donghua, and it didn't disappoint - if anything, I'd be interested in watching more of them after this.

Story & Art: 9/10
The show uses an episodic format for several of its episodes, with others straying from that to focus on a central storyline. Some episodes are better than others for sure, but overall I enjoyed watching every single one. Nearly every episode is set up to end with a thrilling cliffhanger too, which makes this easy to binge (plus the fact that it's only ... 12 episodes long, including the special filler episode).
There will probably be instances where you feel confused about what just happened, but this is because the show drip-feeds you important information along the way - this is really cool imo, as opposed to explaining everything as soon as it happens. There are also multiple references to real-life events that I feel do elevate the story. Lastly, I'm a huge fan of the art style, though I think it won't be for everyone.

Sound: 10/10
I really enjoyed all the music used in the show. The OP & ED are both great, and the background tracks were solid too and fit the scenes they played in. I found the Chinese voice acting to be really good, and that everyone had a pleasant voice to listen to.

Characters: 8/10
The characters were likeable, although don't expect them to be explored and developed in a lot of depth this season - there are still a lot of unanswered questions to be addressed. I still give them an 8, since I don't feel that this detracted from the show at all, as the story feels like it's just getting started.

Overall: 9/10
I would definitely recommend to watch at least the first few episodes and get a feel for it, though, don't expect a big sci-fi extravaganza with nonstop action or anything like that - despite the focus on using time travel, Link Click actually feels very grounded and 'human' in the stories it tells and in how it tells them.
