NO SPOILERS review: Jujutsu Kaisen excels at things that other manga fail to achieve. Fantastic female writing, bold story decisions, and an unapologetic appetite to kill characters. It is a master of making things go from bad, to worse, to terrible, to unbelievably horrible.
This story is for anyone who likes dark shonen, prefers characters over story, and likes good power systems and amazingly hyped fights. These are what Jujutsu Kaisen offers the most but...
Story: 3/10
At times this story can get super confusing or hard to follow. Sometimes the plot becomes so explicit and textual that it is hard to stay focused. The story stands to

serve the characters and forces characters to do what they would least like to do. I would describe this story as unnatural, not because it is a fantasy but because it feels like it is being orchestrated for the audience.
Characters: 9/10
I know some reviewers commented on tropes in the series but this is one of the first mainstream manga that doesn't reduce female characters. I really love this and, I wish more women could be integrated in Manga. If you watch a show like Demon Slayer or read the manga, women are always in a subservient role, even the Hashira seem more dependent... But in Jujutsu Kaisen a certain Maki does some unspeakable things. A certain Nobara crushes curses with no remorse. One of the strongest sorcerers alive is a woman and that is something to praise. Every character has a reason, a motive. A very clear motive I might add. -1 point for the random new characters popping up in the new arc, but even they are awesome. Certainly, deux ex machina though.
Art: 5/10
Some hype moments but it's mid. It's cool and stylized if that's your thing, but nothing special by any means.
World Building: 1/10
So confusing. Do regular people know about Jujutsu? Do other countries practice it? I think they do, but we never see them? And if it is only Japan why? And if the reason is that Japan is sad... -_-. The recent chapters make me think, "why are these people even being introduced into the story." Because to me, it seems that it is completely out of left field.
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
Yeah, I know. After all the low scores how! Well, mixing the Manga with the anime, I look at this story as a franchise and I love it. The manga's pacing and storytelling is weird and dense sometimes but the anime fixes all of that. Reading the manga is just so I can get ahead on the anime! This is one of the only stories that I think is better animated. The fast pacing of the manga really works on the screen. And despite all the negative things I said, this story has charm and grit!
I would recommend watching the anime before reading the manga. If you like the manga, start reading it, if you don't, it's not for you.
