This anime is like an actual shitpost. If you like over the top brain rotten internet humour, you will feel right at home. If you appreciated the infamous "E" meme from back in the day, you're going to have a great time.
This show relies heavily on random=funny and on unpredictability. It trolls you. You think you already know what to expect is going to happen next and it goes in a completely different direction. On the other hand it also relies on over-repetition. A repeated joke is not a joke anymore until it is repeated enough times when it wraps around and starts being funny

The premise of this anime is very good but the execution is a little lacking.
The first few episodes really shine, they set the tone, introduce the base plot and characters and are really enjoyable and keep you wanting to see where this will go. Unfortunately, as the anime goes on, it loses a bit of it's charm, the plots starts to drag a bit and some "twists" start to get a little repetitive. This is the kind a series that leaves you with a hard-to-describe feeling of emptiness after you finish it. But you can never watch it for the first time again.
The story is subversive in more than one way. It's generally known that Madoka Magica puts a dark spin on the typical magical girl formula but there's much more.
