although shirokuma cafe is at a much slower, toned-down pace compared to nichijou's extreme high-tempo comedy, they're both very slice-of-life and both have similar absurd humor with a lot of puns and fun unique characters to boot

If you liked Tonari no Totoro add

...then you might like Panda Kopanda add

both of these have -a big fluffy animal character that takes care of a little girl -a fun light-hearted story -a colorful, cute art/animation style (also, panda kopanda was written by hayao miyazaki and directed by isao takahata, but predates the existence of studio ghibli!)
