Black lagoon is pretty close to rank a masterpiece in my taste.
The only problem I can really think off is the fact that it's too short. Also a certain arc where things took a turn into mainstream anime a little too much ( when all the mercenaries showed up with f-ed up powers).
I love Black Lagoon because it isnt like any other anime. It plays by it's own rules and the rules of this show is gunslinging. People shoot eachother, and that's about it. Heh... Accidentally passed by, I had completely forgotten about this, until I read through the ten books, that the douchebag artist released before he decided to leave the fans of at a cliffhanger.
There's some things about this series that are really good and really welldone and others are just awful, so my feelings with the manwha is really mixed. I guess it's a different kind of storytelling, it's kind of reminiscent of Game of Thrones where several characters are introduced and given backgrounds ( usually by someone else telling them about their background ) and then we get to figure the rest out ourselves.
