ill start by saying this is my favorite anime of all time, so you can expect that ill only talk about everything good in this anime. (since i don't believe there is really anything that I can critic in a negative way).

a place further than the universe is a show that has the power to inspire you as well as the power to make you cry, I have never seen a show that made me want to change my life before this, after watching this show I started getting more productive as I didn't want to stay

in one place, I traveled with friends and I've tried to make things happen for myself. this show on top of being a great show has the power to inspire and change you. i believe if you open yourself to this show you'll be a bit different when you finish it.
story: 9.5
the story in this anime is great, it's simple, captivating, interesting and it moves forward like its characters. its about 4 girls traveling to Antarctica, but so much more, you see every single one of the characters we meet has a reason to go there and things they want to accomplish, the story is told in a way that highlights all of them and lets them be in the light. the story in shows of this style is usually really boring and doesn't do much for the show but that is not the case for this anime, the story is cool it moves forward, and its interesting. the only reason I'm saying the story is 9.5 is because I do think that if you don't like adventure stories then you might think the story is a bit basic or boring.
art: 10
the show is an anime original by madhouse when they were still the king, there isn't much to say here other than the characters all come alive and the animation is smooth and in some breathtaking scenes it becomes even better, the show looks amazing and there isn't much to lower points on, the style is spot on with the feel of the show and everything looks nice and distinct. something cool about this is that most of the things in the show are real places and I've looked at some pictures and they look exactly the same.
sound: 10
the sound benefits from the overall quality of this show, but it also enhances the show. every great scene or important moment is backed up by a beautiful insert song that can make you sad all on its own. the posts and the insert songs in this anime fit so well with everything else, the use of the sound is masterful the songs are fun and memorable, and just like the art the sound is done by a very talented team so you can expect greatness.
character: 10
the characters are really important for a show like this, if you don't like even one of the main girls I don't think you can enjoy this show to its fullest. and luckily every single character is great, not only the main girls but also the whole supporting cast. all the characters have a goal and a different reason to go to antartica, so when we discover all the motives and actually get to antartica we get to see both the emotional side of every character but also the fun side, i had fun watching the characters just being themselves, and that is something that can only happen if the characters are really great.
enjoyment: 11
while technically a 10 I think that this show is the show I most enjoyed watching ever, this anime can get you to cry, a lot. i cried to this multiple times as it was both very sad as well as an amazing uplifting and fun show. the time when the girls all lie down and watch the northern lights made me cry tears of joy, episode 12 made me cry like no anime has ever made me. i don't have much to say about how much i enyoed it other than its 11 out of 10.
