I'm going straight to the main problem: the author has no idea how to make a worldbuilding or handle power creep. The fights are interesting, but the powerscale is so confusing and everytime the characters gain power when it's convenient to the plot. The politics of this world makes no sense and the 99% of the characters don't have a believable motivation after the first 100 chapters.
Have you ever played final fantasy? One of the funniest things in final fantasy that every final boss become a god in the final and the final fight is amazing compared to the rest.
The god of ... highchool want's to make EVERY FIGHT looks like a final fantasy final boss fight, and it doens't work, because if every fight is incredible, it become predictable and boring.

I really think that attack on titan has a great plot and a amazing world building. However, the reason that stopped me from give it a 10 is the complete lack of character building until the most recent chapters. Eren, the main character, takes 90 chapters until he finally do something to move the plot by his own decisions and is more like a plot device than the main character. Mikasa only say Eren and fight to protect him all the time, and other characters are either defined as psycophats, cowards or people that are decided to do anything for what they believe. In fact, ... i could say that 90% of the cast are more plot device than characters.
However, despite that, the mistery is really interesting and the fights are well done.

Black clover is another battle manga of the weekly shounen jump and, like so many others before, it has many clichés and is a very predictable reading, but it has good points.

It has a good rhythm and does not waste time to move plot and developing the characters, which makes reading a lot of fun. In addition, women have more than one personality and are not treated like garbage, as 90% of shounen usually do.

However, almost all villains have the same superiority speeches and are edgy, making this one of the most predictable readings of my life.
If you like classic battle shounens, this manga ... is perfect for you

I was really open-minded about this anime, I really enjoyed the first three episodes and I had high expectations. However, each new episode makes this anime more confusing and illogical.

My main problem with this anime is how new information is added to the story. In a show that knows what it is doing, the narrative will add new information that will leave the viewer curious about what will happen and what is the secret behind the plot.
In the god of high school, however, it is the opposite: the more the anime explains, the less interest I have and the less sense the story makes. The ... show wants to go from a simple tournament arc to a big conspiracy about gods and the fate of the world, but it just doesn't know how to do that and makes one of the most complicated and messed storytellings I've ever seen.

Besides that, the fights are fun to watch and the animation is great.

First of all, i need to say: hunter x hunter is not a flawless mangá. The art style in some chapters are avarege, since the author has many health issues and can´t draw properly, and some moments has too many exposition dialogues that doens´t need to be too long.
However, despite these problems, hunter x hunter is one of the most unique and inteligent battle shounen that exist, followed by one piece and jojo.
Here are some of the most compelling things that make me love this mangá:

The narrative structure: Hunter x hunter has 4 main characters, and we follow the journey ... of each one of them to search their own individual goals. However, they never are the center of attention: the villains and many other characters has their own lives and doens´t care about the main characters goals. In a normal battle shounen, the villains are always in the main character way and the whole arc will be focused in the fight between the main cast and the villains. In hunter x hunter, however, the main cast has zero relevance in the villains plans, and are is more focused in each character goal than on the fight itself.

The transition of arc: There are many shounens (cof,cof, fairy tail cof, cof) in which the arcs are repetitive and predictable. In hunter x hunter, however, each arc is completly different from each other, both in narrative and style. Think in hunter x Hunter as many different anime troopes in one anime: Do you have a máfia investigation arc, a card game isekai arc, a psychological horror arc, a political arc, a battle royale arc, etc.

The magic system: Holy shit, what an amazing and creative magic system. Hunter x hunter always has some creative battles and use of powers that lacks to many battle shounens.
