I do like gore in anime, especially when it makes contrast with the cuteness of the drawing. So i was captivated by the art of this manga and i started reading it. In the beginning it looked like an hidden gem.
They put effort in drawing it so i was looking forward to see how the story unravels...
Unfortunately after setting up the "rules" of the anime (this world, Japan, no magic...) the author started dis-attending them one by one.
Warning light spoilers ahead!
Is it a super hero anime? which super power has our antagonist? why after seriously hurting some people one time is punished and
...
the second just get away with it like nothing happened?
Why a "can't miss" situation for our protagonist turns out a disaster for him? ah yes our antagonist, immobilized on the ground just deflected a direct hit with a knife and an object materialized in her hands (previously free). Magic? Telekinesis? This is just an example, the narrative issues are just too many, many situations just don't make any sense as they're narrated. And it's getting more absurd every chapter.
I expected more than "Everything make it do to show us some gore."
I'm so angry because the art is good. The author should have put more effort in the coherence of the story. Maybe later there will be explanations, for those who will continue reading... I'm not sure it's still worth my time.
