I could start by saying how amazing this work is and how much I've fallen in love with it, but one thing that I have to say for anyone wondering if its worth reading, is that this manga is not for everyone. Is cheesy, is edgy, is overdramatic and exaggerated, and after some volumes the matches become kind of tiring and predictable, but it doesn't diminish the value of the overall story and the emotional delivery of some beautiful moments. As much as some people say that Blue Lock presents a football that punishes and criticizes teamwork, it's actually about how we have to push

ourselves beyond our comfort to be able to bloom and find a reason to live. To solely depend on others means to limit your own capabilities and what you can achieve, and the way to leave that behind is to push yourself into a situation that demands you to change for the better, even if it's uncomfortable, even if it means to leave something or someone behind, even if it means devouring someone else's dream for your sake, it's in those moments that we thrive. That's what all the talk about being egotistical is about, not to shit on your teammates or take the spotlight as a superstar but to grow as a person. This is a story about how an average dude gets his dreams crushed and gets back up to pursue that dream in Blue Lock, even if he loses and gets humbled multiple times by other individuals better than him, he still chases his goal (pun intended) and never gives up. That's why I love Isagi as a character. No matter how hard or impossible a match seems to be, he will fight for his victory using his ego not only to change himself but to change others as well. And that makes Blue Lock one of the most inspirational mangas I've had the pleasure to read.
