So i've seen this get some bad reviews and a low score, and i truly from the bottom of my heart do not get it.

Starting with the animation, The animation is beautiful, and more importantly, consistently beautiful and of excellent quality. The character design is no slouch, maintaining an aesthetic typically associated with vampire fantasy without losing its uniqueness.

The plot is different from other anime of this style, although it has action, intense fights and conspiracies. It also has a light side, soaked with the warmth of family and the bitterness of having lost a loved one, but still continuing to live for that person ... and seeking to fulfill their last wish. The antagonists are not simple villains, their motivations are understandable within the world in which the anime is built, and they all have individual personalities instead of behaving like a hive-mind.

I never got bored watching this anime, nor did I feel like it was a typical action anime or a typical babysitting anime. For me, it has everything: tragic pasts, different and unique characters, action, vampires, conspiracies, a conflict between God and man, adorable babies, and a phenomenal soundtrack.

I can never recommend this enough, and i hope to see more of this franchise soon (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) .ᐟ.ᐟ

This anime has an extremely problematic plot, and yet, that is not what makes Ojou to Banken-kun exceptionally bad.

I can excuse a problematic plot, where a man falls in love with, becomes jealous of, and isolates a teenager at least sixteen years younger than him, who, moreover, he raised as a father figure, if it were at least entertaining. But, Ojou to Banken-kun is boring, it's full of the worst clichés that shoujo anime can have, and the characters are all insufferable idiots.

Why did i even finish it? well, Even if the plot is bad, the characters are boring, and each episode seems to fall ... into a new and repetitive cliché, there is something entertaining about this anime. The animation is so ridiculously bad, insanely terrible, that it's hilarious to watch. It starts off okay, with the first few episodes having average animation. But, oh god, as the series progresses, the animation suffers from significant budget cuts (or so it seems), stiff limbs, mouths that don't move, ugly design, and the iconic but dreaded PowerPoint slide animation. That mess was more entertaining to watch than anything else this anime “offers.”

If you want to make fun of something, I recommend this anime. But for that, it's better to watch a good comedy, something that won't waste your time.
