Similar setting/plot (just read the synopsis). One MC wants to sleep, the other wants to read. The difference is that the sleeping princess makes good comedy, but the bookworm does drama. IMO the character dynamic and the story felt more clean/reasonable in the Maoujou de Oyasumi, which is no surprise, since originally Maoujou de Oyasumi is a manga, and Honzuki no Gekokujou is a light novel. The manga was adapted with great direction, but the light novel adaptation felt artificial. The drama is forced/unnatural in Honzuki no Gekokujou, especially compared to Maoujou de Oyasumi (yes, a comedy did it better, I actually cared about the characters more than in the "chill/wholesome" Slice of Life Bookworm anime, believe it or not). One series decided what it wants to be and stuck to it, the other combined unmatching things. Personally, in the "wholesome SoL about the book-loving girl", I don't want any anime archetypes, all the annoying anime noises (which are fine in, say, ecchi comedy), pout faces, fake crying, etc. Which Ascendance of a Bookworm had. On the other hand, in Maoujou de Oyasumi, the (more or less) episodic comedy, I don't want forced drama, sudden change of tone, serious discussion of social issues, etc. And Maoujou de Oyasumi avoided all that, hence felt very smooth (consistent). This turned into a rant, but you have to know where my opinion is coming from, context matters. You may find no problems with something that bothered me and vice-versa. I recommend watching Maoujou de Oyasumi, but not the Ascendance of a Bookworm.

both: deal with teen's problems and/or supernatural phenomena, but Musaigen has a more unique setting have science references here and there, although in Seishun it's more pretentious and makes less sense somehow have the same feeling, idk The world-building and overall writing are better (more consistent) in Musaigen IMO.

Saenai Heroine makes fun of visual novels, harem genre tropes, and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun ridicules shoujo genre. The difference is that Saekano has plot and character development, and not solely comedy, someone says it's a deconstruction of "school romance visual novels". They are not similar at all, but if you like one you'll like the other. (P.S. I think that's the real purpose of a recommendation, there's no point watching two identical shows, right?)
