The story was unique for me. It was told continuously, with a few flashbacks here and there, but they didn't add confusion to the story. It didn't feel rushed for me because you can slowly see the growth of the characters as you continue with the story. It wasn't necessarily too simple or too complicated. You can understand everything and yet still be enthralled by the story. I stumbled upon this manga while looking for good mystery manga to read. Although it's mostly comedy, romance, and school life, the mystery of as to why only Amane sees Nekota's head as a cat head keeps you

hooked on to the story. The fact that they didn't rush into the romance part all of a sudden and let it progress made it feel realistic. The ending felt satisfying, covering up everything and putting a good end to the story. It was worth reading the 44 chapters.
The art was pretty good. They were somewhat memorable and fit the comedy genre of the manga. The characters were easy to tell apart because they had their own unique looks. It felt as if they matched the characters' personalities.
The character development was actually good. Although, it did feel as if some characters were a bit left behind up to the point that I totally forgot about them until they reappeared. Their reactions, growth, and development were totally realistic. They were given time and weren't rushed. Seeing the development made me feel nostalgic about the similar times it happened to me back in middle school. I didn't dislike any characters because I felt they were all significant to the story and nothing would be the same if even one of them disappeared. They did leave a pretty big impression on me, so they won't be disappearing from my mind anytime soon.
I think even non-anime / manga fans will take a liking to the series. It discusses relatable topics - friendships, romance, school life, etc. It doesn't feel too distant because I've experienced it myself. I'd certainly want to reread it again, although it wouldn't really be complete without the mystery. I'd probably remember it because it was a really weird (in a good way) and different manga series than the ones I've read before.
