One piece gets so much praise, I wanted to know why so I decided to watch the anime, 90 episodes in, and I'm so disappointed. Music has little to no impact on the show.
Art is pretty good from a show that started 16 years ago.
When Luffy beats the main baddies, it just doesn't feel satisfying, his finishers and knockouts are so underwhelming. Luffy doesn't go through any real struggle or hardships to win, he just "simply" had the power all along to beat anyone. He's the most OP anime main character starting from episode 1 that I've ever seen. He'll take a

few punches, but he'll save the day regardless and his crew members rely on him to do so.
It's the same drill over and over, Luffy comes up with new moves with no backstory as to how he does so, he simply comes up with them on the fly like gomu gomu gatling, he's on par with a world class fighter.
If I had to choose what show to recommend to other people, I'd choose Naruto instead. I'm listening to Man of the World from Naruto right now, and the journey, pain and sadness all the characters went through, makes me so appreciative of effective music..
I started with the anime of One Piece, so that I could remember Luffy's journey with it's music and get the full experience with VA's, sound effects, and OPs/EDs but it's been a unmemorable disaster. Naruto is simply better and more memorable in all aspects besides Art.
One piece anime just doesn't compare.
