Both series seem to be simply an adventure of a young cheerful boy with his friends, but contain surprisingly dark elements. They are still overall happy and uplifting though. Magic occurs in both animes in a similar way.

High school team sport mangas. Not only do the two main characters have a similar relationship, there are many similarities to be seen in side characters too (e.g. the split personality captain, kind giant, popular-with-the-ladies rival...). Apart from that they have the same atmosphere to them and recurring themes i.e. improving teamwork, meeting opponents that used to be teammates in middle school...

Genre: Romance and Smut. The relationships are both based on a boy that basically "needs" to touch the girl to survive...even if this sounds weird, both mangas do a good job developing the romantic relationship carefully and slowly.

The same mafia setting, also including supernatural powers and also about who is going to be the next sucessor to a powerful mafia famiglia. The difference: KHR is shounen, while Arcana Famiglia seems like reverse-harem.

Both are packed with action but also light humour in between. They aren't too deep but oh so enjoyable! And they leave you with a positive feeling after you watch them. I also found that the two main characters resemble each other greatly.

the ukes are basically the same, male tsunderes with glasses. both are brilliant (and explicit xD) yaoi mangas.

They have a heroine who enrolls in a new school where everyone is different from themselves. They get a lot of new friends, and there is a lot of comedy involved. The romance is sweet in both mangas, with very sweet kiss scenes too~

both deal with the 12 zodiacs impersonated, even though in fairy tail they have a more minor role. its funny how the Leo in both series is voiced by the same person :D

the 3 main characters are basically the same, and both animes change a lot between drama and comedy

Both main characters get posessed by a dead person / ghost. At first they don't like it too much, but as the story continues they build up a deep relationship with the ghost.
