Both shows share a similar vibe, aesthetic (Part 5 in particular), music, and a "tech-savvy" approach to solving crimes or conflicts. The relationships between the main characters is also really enjoyable to watch.

An oldie but a goodie~ Slayers is a show that follows a group of morally flexible adventurers as they embark on fun little quests, battle monsters, and save the world along the way. You've got everything here—mages, fighters, clerics, dragons, monsters, cursed fish people (who may or may not get eaten...), and more. The main protagonist, Lina, is really funny and is joy to follow. She also loves to eat—a lot. If she were a character in Dungeon Meshi, she’d fit in perfectly. The other characters are equally likable, and the party dynamic really gives off a similar vibe to Laios’ group. If you like old-school anime from the 90's I would definately give this a go!
