Absolutely amazing show…. that suddenly fucks up the pacing in the last 4 episodes. That’s where they get -1 from me. Like… the last two that die get a 10 second death, and they are two of the main ones (with as little spoilers as I can muster, this absolutely pissed me off)! Like… in two of the last 4 episodes we lose 3 of Night Raid. Just insane pacing at the end from how the other 20 episodes of the show were.

But by all means, great great show. Good homage to heroes of all shapes and sizes, and even some ‘bad’ guys may have ... a bit of a past that makes them seem just a tad less bad after all.

Definitely recommend!! 9/10, just felt like they wanted to rush across the finish line in the last four episodes, but they still do it without teetering over the line of ‘bad.’

I’ll keep this short and sweet:
Very very cute anime with a great concept, but very rushed ‘main’ plot. It was all still very entertaining to me, and had a beautiful about life/persevering/choosing happiness. I gave it a 7/10 since I was entertained the whole way through, but -3 points for a confusing/rushed main plot.

This anime would have been better served being 2 seasons, like 12 episodes each. That way, ALL the girls in the huge harem/sisterhood could have been fleshed out (like my bby girl, Rin!) and Souta’s depression/journey could have been explored more. Ending S1 at where he realizes Ruri knows ... about the flag stuff would have been a good spot. This show just really needed to flesh out the girls, Souta’s emotional journey, Souta’s powers, and the worlds stuff wayyy more. For example, it’s only in the latter half of the show does his power first start to evolve with affecting the world without a person’s flags… and then suddenly he becomes OP by the bard’s song? I accept it since this was just 13 eps, but again, a two season layout would have served this story a lot better.
