Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu or "Parasyte" was very interesting and kept me on edge almost the whole way through.
I'm sure others will review this anime to the 'T' so this will be short and simple if you don't know if you'd like it.
I'll break it down into the categories that we have to grade the anime on. I'll will try to avoid any insider spoilers other than common knowledge about the anime. I'll also try my best to explain (short n sweet style) why I gave it the score I did.
Story- (9/10): The story, as you probably know is all about that 'Humanity' and having
...
it on the verge of being destroyed. That by itself is something I'm extremely interested in (Attack on Titan sort of anime) so I'm all ears at this point. I have to say, it does deliver. Its not the impact left after watching attack on titan (obviously) but it had its own twist that I'm sure anyone would love to watch. It's an experience that pulls the heart strings, gets your blood pumping and makes you want the next episode immediately. I was very happy with it.
Art- (9/10): I love them gory anime, know what I mean? This anime looks pretty without a doubt from the very first episode. Once you see the 'Monsters' attack and eat, it's crazy. I rate art usually on how nice it is to watch and how smooth everything happens. They did a very good job in my opinion.
Sound- (8/10): There isn't anything wrong with this soundtrack so I bounced between 7 and 8 for this score. Its nothing amazing but it went with the show. In a situation where everything's going to hit the fan, its kicks up some dubstep. Made my battles scenes all the better to watch.
Character- (9/10): The characters were mostly parasites, mostly. With that being said, they had their own attitude and general mind set for domination. It was really something. With the exceptions of a few parasites that didn't make a host of the human, which made matters even more interesting. It was a pleasure to watch everyone develop and the plot thicken over time. I'm positive that the characters make this show what it is.
Enjoyment/Overall- (9/10): This is a solid 9 in my book and other fans of the show probably agree. It had me hooked to the point that when I started an episode, it was over instantly. I can't say many shows do that for me. Watching someone get their head chopped off or the main protagonist figure out if this right hard is a friend or foe is just a great watch. If you want a show that delivers a good story, no ecchi, and plenty of gore then this is your show. It's nuts.

"Still a better love story than twilight." No, but seriously now. This was phenomenal!
I knew this show existed via cover art that I've seen in various places. So, I decided to take the time to watch it when it was finally recommended through another show. I figured vampires usually make something interesting to watch. This show was no exception and stole my complete attention until it was over.
No spoilers, but slight references possible.
Story: 9
Simply put, supernatural love story. I mean a good one too! This story did, however, take time for me to wrap around but it gets better. In other words, give it an
...
episode or two and hold on. In a world inhabited by both humans and vampires, they'll need to live like good neighbors. This is the premises. It gets even better when love is against the odds. Just let the feels roll out.
Art: 9
The art was very well done. I'm thoroughly pleased with the level of eye popping goodness contained within this series. The animation was nothing short of greatness. However, the cut-scenes and transitions were something... peculiar. I don't know how to phrase it but the camera angle goes all over the place. "Eyes" were focused on the majority of the time. It left me concerned, rather disoriented but I went with it.
Sound: 9
The music was great. I really picked up on it and couldn't say anything bad.
Characters: 8
"Why isn't this a 9 too?" That's because of my personal feelings toward different areas of the anime. Without spoiling anything, sometimes I wished a certain person would have died because they were ALWAYS AROUND and had NO real reason to be. Don't worry if your don't get it or finished it and still don't understand. Anyways, the characters were great during the whole time. The main male character is a good person and shines when he shows it. As for the female, or queen, she has one of the best personalities I've witnessed. How the story plays out with all of them is just to good.
Enjoyment: 8
I really liked this and will continue to like it. There was no mistake in my mind that this was something great to watch. I even spread it out to make sure I was in the right mood just so I wouldn't spoil it.
Overall: 9
*Claps* I'd watch it again. Funny enough, I thought of games like bloody roar when people transformed. I couldn't stop thinking that way. The anime delivers a truly lovely story during it's span of 12 episodes. I couldn't recommend it more, especially if you like vampires.

Forgive me if this "is how the show was meant to be" and I'm just lost. I can get that way sometimes and it seems to have caught me on this particular show. I figured this was right up my ally while I kept an open mind. There is solid truth to that. Regardless, it may have been worth watching at the least.
I try my best to not reveal any secrets and give my personal opinion. No spoilers.
Story: 5
Basically, using the summary, there's a ghost that enjoys a certain male and his attention. Instantly you should know where these kind of things go. Let's look
...
past this for a second and focus on what the story really offers. I'm a sucker for romance and there is plenty of it, to what end though? The relationships formed had no meaning outside of the 2 mains characters getting along. This felt like a slow boat floating across the horizon, wishing things would speed it up. There was an obvious point that needed to be reached and it took ages. The story gave you no chance to "think of outcomes" because it was so focused on one situation. Obviously its the plot of the series, but it was very predictable. I could call out the next scene without effort. Episode 6 and later are where I consider things heating up; we can call that the climax. If that was the climax in my eyes then the show truly didn't grab my full attention.
Art: 8
Like a lot of shows that I've seen lately, this one had fabulous art work. The animation was eye candy. I really like that.
Sound: 5
The sound was fine. It only got to me when lyrics were involved and toward the end. Not much else to say really.
Characters: 4
This was tough to think about. How many cookie cutter personalities are in these shows? I like remembering one set of characters and easily distinguishing them from another set. The kids in this series were just half baked it seems. Male has a ghost, 2 females follow him, and the rest of the school is nonexistent. Everyone has "feelings" and all you can do is watch that boat float the horizon. They needed more background and story, plain and simple. Things felt disconnected over and over as the plot grew. There was no real connection left with whoever was involved.
Enjoyment: 6
This was fine. I had issues with the snail paced story and lack of detail with characters but life goes on. The art work was wonderful and the story does leave a good taste with your soul. It has emotion and you should feel something either way. For that reason, I did think it was fair if not good.
Overall: 6
In the end, try it if you think its up your ally. That is the same as I did and I got these results that I'm not sure about. The anime was very magnified on one relationship and no room to expand it. That makes the show slow and predictable at times. If your fresh to the romance genre, you'll probably have a better time with this. I've watched my fair share and so my judgement may be different from what you experience.

Let's be honest for a second. There are a lot of animes and a lot try to appeal to the horror genres. The question is how well each one preforms and which ones we'll remember. So before you think this is just "another" run of the mill production, I wouldn't. This show sparked my curiosity almost instantly, which was fantastic.
No spoilers, but the general idea will be discussed.
Before I run down the categories, let me just say this show has a superb ending when the episodes are over. Not to be confused with the ending of the series. Its so peaceful and relaxing whereas the
...
show is rather chaotic. I smiled every time the show ended.
Now then,
Story: 9
The basic idea here is that curses kill. Not only can you die but others will if nothing is solved. As far as stories go, this is a thrilling chiller. You'll find yourself wondering what on earth is happening before you know it. I even squinted/covered my eyes at times. This class is in fear for their lives.
Art: 9
I was delighted that the animation was so well done with this show. Everything looked brilliant and clear. The contrast was just right and made the atmosphere even more chilly. I'm pretty sure anyone would appreciate how this show looks.
Sound: 8
I loved the effects and the music behind this anime. They went together like salt and pepper. I could pick up on the music quickly and listen. Very atmospheric.
Characters: 8
The class involved in this mess was absolutely terrified. They dreaded to think about the curse. Everyone does their best and only you can watch it develop. Personalities and relationships were established, but to what end?
Enjoyment: 9
I can say this is something only fans of the genres will enjoy, but don't take that the wrong way. If you like a Stephen king book or just looking for a thrilling animation to watch, this is a solid choice. If your someone that doesn't really like blood or death, this isn't rainbows and sunshine. Needless to say, its a crazy one.
Overall: 9
After watching this show, drooling for the next episode, I couldn't be more pleased. Not to share any secrets or the ending, it left me on a good note. You'll have to see for yourself to understand. I've seen a few shows that involved "horror" but this one really drove it home for me, personally. Between the scared students and the situations they deal with, its nothing short of pandemonium.

When I decided to watch this anime I had a mentality set to drop it when certain conditions were met. In other words, if flags that I'd set would go off then I'd drop this show. I mean, how great can a show be with a plot like this? I felt the need to at least try it though.
Oh how silly I was before I watched this... how dumb of me to think poorly of it so soon.
No spoilers, understanding that you know the concept of the show and assuming you'll watch the rest of the ending (Michi Random). Of course it being another 4
...
episodes, Ill just review the entire series here.
Story: 9
5 special teens are introduced to an experiment that involves switching bodies, what a plot. Don't shake this off just yet though, as I almost did, because it gets extraordinarily better. The experiment is "watched/controlled" by a third party the whole time and wants to see where these kids end up. While you buckle up and follow this journey through, you'll learn about the crew and feel as if your there watching it progress. The story seems "easily overdone" but its far from it.
Art: 8
The art is totally on par with what I consider pretty. We all have our own preferences and that's when makes us unique, regardless this show is very nice to watch.
Sound: 7
Nothing wrong with the music really. You'll pick up on it in certain situations but that's about it.
Characters: 8
This is the story's ingredient that adds the most flavor. I've only seen a few shows, barely, that have a great chemistry between characters. This anime exceeds my expectations and goes beyond. I found myself so excited to learn about each character and when a secret was revealed. You can't help but want to cry in some cases or be overwhelmingly happy. I couldn't believe that everything went together like a symphony as it did. Very well done.
Enjoyment: 8
This was more than enjoyable to me. The independent fact that I was considering it a bad show from the start is terrible of me and I apologize. This was something I wouldn't mind to watch all day everyday. The good vibes and roller coaster of emotions are just amazing.
Overall: 8
In conclusion, watch it. No but really though, this is something else. This is, like I said, assuming you finish the series with the last 4 (separate?) episodes. I yearn for more animes to follow these foot steps of character development as portrayed in this show. It was done carefully and leaves you with an incredible feeling. Highly recommend this. Thanks for reading.

Powerful. This is the one word I would use to describe this show. Being honest though, I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy something like this. The theme was pictured to me as a buffed up ghost-buster team for japan, which seemed silly and over done. I realized that you have to go past the 1 paragraph summary for an anime and overlook the cover art. This show was a successful piece of work.
No spoilers (Not even a little). Quick review of what my eyes witnessed.
Story: 8
The story is a little hard to wrap around if your not in the supernatural state of mind. In other
...
words, pay a little attention to where the story jumps in time. The story itself was very thrilling and really pulls on emotions. You can find yourself begging for the next episode immediately. I really cant say there was any issue other than its over before you know it and there's no more.
Art: 7
The only reason this gets a 7 is because the scenery was bland, albeit pretty. I'm not talking claymore (anime) bland, just an atmospheric dark tone. This is 100% intentional to match the story that unfolds, so it's just something I wanted to point out. Very nice regardless.
Sound: 8
I usually don't have much to say when the show's soundtrack is questioned for review. This time, however, it was superb. Mixed with the story and art, the music was very much on par. You should be able to pick up on it instantly and enjoy it while you watch. Very well done.
Characters: 8
This was hard to understand at first, no spoilers so bare with me. Once a little time passes by, the curtains rise and you'll notice who the shows about and whats going on. The characters all have special features and you'll want to watch each one develop. As for the "main" characters, they will really give you something to watch and love. Great relationships.
Enjoyment: 8
I'll make this area quick because what I said above should shout how much I enjoyed myself. It was fun and worth watching.
Overall: 8
Overall, this was something unexpected. Like I mentioned in the beginning about this being a weird ghost cop show, it wasn't really that way. Its a story you need to experience and let unfold on your own time. It has all the right ingredients to make an anime shine even in it's small time span of 12 episodes.I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone that wants something to remember.

I wasn't so sure about this show when I read about it. I try not to look to deep and spoil something that I shouldn't. Regardless, this show is very entertaining.
Spoiler Free, outside from the summary information.
Quick and simple for those that want to know if this is a go or not.
Story: 8
This story was very enjoyable to me. It had just the right amount of comedy and ecchi without hurting the quality of the entire show. It pulls you in to see what on earth could happen next. With the whole plot around zombies, you cant usually go wrong, usually. The story will have
...
you wanting things to happen and wish things continue, since theres only one season.
Art: 8
The art was very good and on par with what I enjoy looking at. Everything fit and looked amazing the whole time I was watching it. I really enjoy eye candy.
Sound: 6
The soundtrack was fine. There isn't a negative thing I can really say about it.
Characters: 8
This is why the show is special, the characters. One crazy about zombies, one too rich to be free, best cat in the world and more await when you decide to start this anime. The chemistry between everyone is just great. The show really shines when you want to know more about the characters.
Enjoyment: 9
The show was, like I said before, very enjoyable. The characters, plot and art all mix together to make a decent anime worthy of anyones time.
Overall/Conclusion: 8
Overall, this was a pleasant journey. I begged for more in the end and that to me means that the anime did a great job. You'll love the situations they get into as well as the overall story. The art work just adds more praise to such a wonderful anime. If you like the idea of zombies and a bit of ecchi/romance then give it a try. I did and was thoroughly surprised.

I watched C3 on a whim. I figured it was something that would pull in my attention and keep me on the edge of my seat. This, however, was not the case in the end. I no sooner started when I realized that it was almost over and I had no idea where the story was going.
This is spoiler free outside of general anime plot formulas.
I also want to make this quick and easy to understand for those that might want see this show and not know what to think from the cover. I'm also very easy when it comes to animes, so keep that
...
in mind.
Story: 5
I really find it hard to see a logical decent story unfold within 12-13 episodes. This is the case once again. It's not that the plot was something mysterious from the get go, rather it was to much to explain and prepare the audience for. Where some shows give you every detail of the situation in great length, this show tells you to grab a combat knife and barrel roll out of a moving vehicle. In the end, your half confused and half bored but you wish you weren't.
Art: 9
I'm a sucker for eye candy animation and this show has it. The artwork is well above par for my standards and helps me coast through each episode. It's a shame that the plot isn't as interesting as the art is wonderful.
Sound: 4
The sound was nothing more than average. You pick up on it only in certain situations.
Characters: 4
Characters make a show sink or swim, it's that simple. The group that you'll watch in this series is nothing more than mediocre. I really believed that the characters would get better and make things much more entertaining but no. The male character is as bland and boring as ever, with no intention of romance. That's the best I can say without spoiling anything. As for the girls in the group, they are much better to watch. They have a stronger presence than the male character. You'll notice pretty quick that the women make the show worth your time, but not by much.
Enjoyment: 4
I was very "with" the show from the first few episodes. Once again, spoiler free. Some characters show a truly dark side and with battles you could die for. We're talking grade A material that tweaks one's mind. Remember though, I said the first few episodes. Its predictable and bland once a certain point is reached. Sadly enough.
Overall/Conclusion: 5
This show was absolutely something different than what I imagined. I will be more cautious in the future as a result. Nevertheless, this show IS pretty and the story maybe too much at times. I wouldn't recommend this if you enjoy any kind of left over feelings from emotional anime's because there simply aren't any. Some may find this fun and passes the time by but other may see it as a waste of time. This is just one of those kind of shows.
