To simplify things: what a majestic tribute to Tsuburaya Productions' 90's Denkou Choujin Gridman!
My first contact with Gridman was watching Superhuman Samurai, the American version. Back then I loved it but never thought about watching the original tokusatsu series because my SHS's memories were the best and I didn't want to ruin it. SSSS. Gridman came to fit my desire to know better the world from the original Japanese series and I decided to watch it for the nostalgia.
Some elements surprised me a lot during the series. First was the development of the history that differs from the live-action tokusatsu "rule" of getting a new

I'm going to start this review by writing the story behind my motivations on getting to read Devilman's in the first place. I knew Devilman already. It is a very famous character and the image I had about him in my mind was that goofy demon in underwear. That image of him was something that distanced me from the series for years! However, Netflix started promoting this new series called Devilman Crybaby and it seemed to have interesting visuals. Combining these with some great opinions from my Japanese friends I decided to give it a try BUT I knew that Crybaby had to have some

Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san

That's the kind of series in which your knowledge about Japan's culture becomes crucial. Gaikotsu is a collection of chronicles told by a Japanese bookstore's staff. Those bookstores are really, really peculiar and that is why I think many people will not be able to connect with the comedy in this series. I live in Japan, so I could comprehend the troubles those guys are passing by and I found it's hilarious! It's a pity that some people will just skip Gaikotsu for not getting the message behind the story, but I'll be here supporting this series that is brilliantly produced, has beautiful visuals, really

I am currently watching the 14th episode, but this series caught my attention since the very first episode. I’ve been watching some shonen anime recently and BANANA FISH came just in time to refresh my mind and open my eyes for good and solid quality anime. Sometimes you just want to experience something “human” and BANANA FISH has a really involving story filled with beautiful visuals and really really great music! found & lost and Prayer X are in my ears at least once a day for the last few weeks! By the way, those songs are so into the history! Really good choice. I’m

It's kinda unfair to try and score both animations at the same time cause they are really different in many ways. I watched those episodes in the Japan Anime Festival and the difference between an original story (noruka soruka), from the story Togashi has written years ago (two shots) is huge! While Two Shots was perfectly produced and based on the manga - a 30 or so minutes animation with great visuals, historical development and good usage of the original anime’s soundtrack - the other one just feels like an improvised story made in a hurry to fill the lack of Yusuke and Kuwahara in
