Sadness and happiness... in both lies a horrifying monster, disguised as an angel...
Sadness and happiness... This two words mean such a thing in our lives. Sadness, bring us fear, depression, anger, in which towards to the darkness. In other hand, happiness. It bring us joy, a smile, grateful things, peaceful things, and love. There are two kinds of people in our society. Ones who lives in a light and the other ones who lives in the dark. The meaning of dark is somewhat very heavy because we don't know what is our biggest fear. There is someone who live happily in the darkness. Not knowing
...
what is his purpose, his true meaning of life. Sometimes there are a question about nihilism. "Where do we come from?" "Why do we here?" "Where do we go when we die?" What is our purpose to live? The more we asked about us the more frightening will be. Of course there is something that lives in our sociality, politics, media, religion, and ourselves. the ones who called "Monster".
There is so much complex things happen in the story, and everything is connected in one linear fate. How the twins is actually shocked the whole Europe and nobody knows about this. Here we are introduced a brilliant brain surgery in Germany. Especially in Dusseldorf. Eisler Memorial Hospital. An ordinary doctor who always saving patient lives. He is grateful about it. He is Dr. Tenma. Everything went extremely well until he had to prioritize an opera singer over a Turkish man. This makes Tenma questioning himself: "Are all lives equal?"
Of course every one lives are equal. And Tenma choses his decision very well, prioritizing a boy over a mayor since the boy came first. However, I was wrong. And Tenma also wrong. What is actually happening? The boy was saved but the mayor died. Are there no brilliant doctors like Tenma? Tenma didn't know who is he saving. After he is stepped down from his current position makes him dilemma and depressed. It getting worse when Tenma gets word from the police that Director Heinemann, Dr. Oppenheim and Dr. Boyer have been mysteriously killed. Most polices and detectives investigates the cause of murder but none of them know the twins are gone. Unexpectedly, he is appointed as a Chief of Surgery. Nine years later, Tenma learns that the doctors' murders were committed by the boy he saved when the now-grown boy. A beautiful but a horrifying name Johan. It wasn't his real name. No one knows who is his real name. A man with no name just suddenly kill Tenma's patient. No reason why. He killed it perfectly, nobody knows. And makes Tenma actually have a multiple personalities. Johan, is unknown where he is come from, his origin, how he became a "Monster". The mystery of his past is the focus of the plot. He is called a monster, the next Adolf Hitler and the devil himself. He possesses charisma and intelligence but is also cunning, manipulative and deceitful; while he is seemingly kind, compassionate and loving to children, he is actually cold and cruel. He uses his talents to manipulate and corrupt others, often with no apparent end than to cause suffering and destruction. His goal is to kill everyone that knows of his existence. This makes Tenma have to stop him from becoming an ultimate massacre that endangered many lives. During his journey, to stop Johan. He also meets with many person from different backgrounds, who at first seem unrelated to the overarching plot, but every person and their allocated story plays a role into solving the mystery of the “Monster”. That is precisely what makes this show ingenious. The story-telling and plot are perfect not just structurally but also substantially. This series is actually a perfect horror story. Like The Exorcist or The Shining. There are no jumpscares but you can feel the aura of ultimate evil that actually made this show creepy. Our ultimate fears didn't come from unknown. But comes from ourselves. There are no great enemies, because our biggest enemies is ourselves. Ignorance and anger, selfishness. Humans are actually greedy when it comes about our emotions and lusts. That's what make this show perfect.
The art and the background actually very good and so enjoyable. I'm surprised that most of the background are mostly accurate and very minor goofs. The tone of color mostly grey and white that you will feel somekind of "loneliness" and alienation. Which make it fits very well with the story.
Music plays very important role to the series. Perhaps this show are actually have a lots of beautiful moments in soundtrack. You can feel the sadness, vacantness, disturbances, frightening. Especially the ending. 'For the love of life' by David Sylvian you can feel sorrowfulness and happiness. 'The Angel Hand' which is actually Johan's theme always make me cry. Like it's title. Johan is very kindful person that inside his heart is a living 'Monster' that more evil than the devil itself.
One of the most powerful aspect of the series is the character. If I was Tenma, I will be very grateful that I can met various people from various background. Everyone has a character development. One thing that pretty special is how Tenma's life from high standards suddenly loses everything. From a great person become a horrible person because the act of 'Monster'. Despite he lost everything, He is a humanitarian who cares about the lives of others, and his kindness influences those he meets. His surgical skills earn him the position of chief neurosurgeon. He is a perfect character.
On the other hand, Johan. He is absolutely the greatest villain of all time. He not always killed people with his gun. He killed people using a words. A manipulative words that causes split between others. Word is his most powerful weapon. He can control everything even a "Bank of Europe" is under his command. He even destroy Kinderheim 511 using a word. "I just pour an oil on the fire." A perfect and inhuman character. He is truly a "Monster".
Overall this anime is considered masterpiece. Making this show truly deserves a 10 for my life after Your Lie in April. Both are truly a show that can change my life. Your Lie in April gives me a realization how I should accept myself and learn to move on. While Monster over a realistic story gives me how I should view on this world. How I should appreciate it. We always meet many kind of person in this world. Some of them good. Some of them are bad. We might find an inspiration from a great person. Making me to realize that the world is such a colorful life. In the end: "It was in the reign of George III that the aforesaid personages lived and quarrelled; good or bad, handsome or ugly, rich or poor, they are all equal now."
A truly must watch anime. No question asked. Over 74 long episodes. There is a journey...

An epic disastrous anime!
It is an unique concept for a shounen anime describing a story where all the enemies are the titans.
Considers it is unknown where all the titans come from. The humans already trapped inside the wall. There are three walls: Maria, Rose, and Sina. It's been for centuries no titans attacking humans. These three walls on the sudden become what most Christians belief of the Holy Trinity. The wall is the most sacred barrier that protect humans from the titans. However, they're being isolated from the outside world. Humans only belief in religion and do nothing inside the wall. We are already
...
know that dreaming and do nothing resulting of day dreaming. This simple thoughts awaken the protagonist of the story, Eren Yeager. Who questioning why the humans depends only on the wall. The wall itself could be destroyed by titans. The wall itself look alike The Great Wall of China. It is strong, magnificent, and beautiful. The story itself not only speaks of what happens next. But another dark story represent satire of the political world and the comunity who trusted in that.
Shingeki no Kyojin already gain popularity that almost shock the world. The tragedies, how we have to struggle. The show is full of motivation that inspired many people who watch this. Including myself. The concept of titans represent our problems and how to face it. Titans could be our responsibilities. It is clear why some people in military sometimes frightened wih titans. They're trained to be brave, willing to sacrifice, and serve the human race. They're already concern their lives and death on the mission. But why they're still frightened with titans? If we live in Shingeki no Kyojin world, perhaps we will understand how scarry the titans are. It is not an easy task for the soldiers. Especially the Survey Corps, which goes out into Titan territory to try to reclaim the land. The Survey Corps are heavily derided in society because of their apparently senseless high casualty rate and little sense of progress. It is hard to survive in titan teritory since the comparison human fighting the titans are far away. Until, Eren has to find out the mystery how he can change into a massive titan that could be a key to a human survival. The titan world using the nature law. The strongest one will be survived. Therefore, Eren must dispose his humanity to survive and beat the titans.
The stories continues, it has many messages and motivations. What makes me think the series is the interpretations. Shingeki no Kyojin is an anime that receive so many critics about political world. It is great story sadly. But one thing that caught me so hard is the wall. And the humans living on it. This story reminds me one of my favourite album The Wall by Pink Floyd. It explores abandonment and isolation, symbolised by a metaphorical wall. And the faith of humans suddenly become blind. Speaking about this anime always reminds me about how rude the political behavior in my country are. Using religion as a weapon, and justifies by any means to reach its true goals. One reason behind this is corruptions. There are lot of stories behind it but I can't tell you more. I disliked it intensely.
In the end, I gave it a fair score. Good anime, it has an open interpretations. You can describe this show by your own, just the way this review written. The soundtrack! It's truly amazing!! Totally outstanding! The soundtrack perhaps the most crucial thing to make this anime so epic and a good well done character development. Overall this is a good anime, and enjoyable. I cannot recommend you anymore because it is already number two the most popular anime on MAL. Or even in the world. Watch it on your own.

The spring is about to end...
After my fourth re-watching, I'm able to put this on my review. One thing for sure, I'm not crying anymore. LOL. But still, an amazing anime.
This anime is one of very first anime that I watch and the first anime to swim to the world of anime. Actually I hate watching an anime especially this one. But this anime truly change my life as a whole.
When this anime came out at fall 2014. I fell a sick. A very serious illness that inevitably have to operation. Some doctors said that I may not survived. The sad news spread to entire
...
my family, my friends, and others. I can not do anything other than sincere, and fight against the disease as much as possible. That year was a hopeless years. It's a matter live and death.
During my recovery for six month, I was able to go to school. But later on, my friends slowly began to move away. Not because I'm freak. But more like scarred. I was sad. And full of hopelessness. There's nothing I can do. And then, one of my best friend show me this anime. At the spring time. Actually I hate it. But then, I inevitably accept it. Maybe there is some good things happen in this anime. Or maybe, a cure.
But then I never watch it. I fell a sick once again. This time, I'm having severe bleeding. The cause is unknown. I thought I could survive. But I totally comfortably numb. I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't see anything. The only thing I could do is hearing a monitoring machines, feeling my hand full of intravenous lines, my mouth full with endotracheal tube, and others. I was sad. Really-really sad.
But then a miracle happened. After my second operation. I was able to leave the ICU. I was so happy. Feeling grateful. And thankful for the doctors and nurses, and others, especially my father who also help me (my father actually a disease researcher). It was a hard times two years ago. And I'm really sorry that I was sick two years ago. But then again, my recovery goes better and better. I'm feel sooo grateful.
When I'm back to school, my friends still keep away from me. I was so lonely those days. And then, at spring 2017. I saw the title that my bestfriend gave me: Your Lie in April. I was like, "It is April today, what kind a lie?" And then I started watching it at April. And then, I was shocked...
Here, we are introduced a virtuoso pianist. Arima Kousei. A young and talented musician. I was surprised by his face!!! His face look slightly very similar to my face!!! I'm quite astonished! He plays Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart. Sadly no Bach's since he is my favourite composer. But really? This anime is about a classical music?! Classical is my favourite genre. Beside Rock, and Progressive rock. It is strange for anime tells a story about classical music. But Your Lie in April doesn't tell just one story.
The main character, Arima Kousei, had a shared personality with me. He and myself falls into a downward spiral of life. Since I was sick, my friends keep away from me. But here in Your Lie in April, Kousei unable to hear the sound of his own piano after losing his mother, which is strange. He is not Beethoven. But what I know, he is suffered by a trauma. His mother, trained him so hard to become the greatest pianist of all time. What he got is humiliating praise: The Human Metronome. Nobody knows what is behind Kousei and his mom. A horrible thing? I don't thing so. But rather a sad thing I've ever know.
It's been two years Kousei avoiding piano, or maybe other kind of classical music. It's short but yet so painful for him. Like Tsubaki said, "no matter how hard you tried to avoid it, it will still comes to you." The piano. The piano is his soul of music. There are lot of beauties and colorful story of life on it. After Kousei losing his mother, there are not alot of things to do in his life. Kousei's life become a monotone.
One day, at Towa Hall, Kousei encounters a beautiful girl whose her hair is blonde and gold playing Pazu's Fanfare. Like Tsubaki said, "The moment I laid eyes on him, my whole life just blew away. Everything I saw and heard, everything I felt, the world around me took on color in a way I never knew it could." I'm quietly astonished, and fell in love. The show suddenly becomes a magic. A tales and legends of how was it begin. That angel, is so beautiful, violent, horrible, etc. You name it. She is Kaori. Kaori Miyazono. A free-spirited melodicanist ehhh I mean violinist. Because she is a violinist. A horrible violinist, but she can shredder, and so professional, many people who see her performance was astonished. Beautiful on her own way. Kousei on the other hand suddenly falling in love with her performance. Like he never sees it before. On that day, it was April, everything changes to become so colorful.
What makes this anime is so special to me is the music. How can music affects peoples lives? Like somekind of prayer. Kaori said, "A famous violinist once said that music can transcend words." In many cultures, music is an important part of people's way of life, as it plays a key role in religious rituals, rite of passage ceremonies, social activities and cultural activities ranging from amateur karaoke singing to playing in an amateur funk band or singing in a community choir. People may make music as a hobby, like a teen playing cello in a youth orchestra, or work as a professional musician or singer. Music is always exists in our lives. Just listen the sound of rain, traffic jams and rush hours, a train passing, the sound of bird in the morning, everything is music. Life is music.
Another thing that music is so special is heart. Music connects people with heart. When everybody listen to it your heart will understand. The music, the person who made it. Like Bach, Chopin, and other great composers. Although the story is just great not outstanding but the music here is the most powerful aspect of the story. The second one is love.
Why love? What so special of it? Music can brings the powerful message for the person that we love. "Did I reach you? I hope I did it." The power of music, the power love brings the powerful aspects why the show is called Your Lie in April. An angel that changes Kousei how he appreciates music, life, how to live grateful. Although everything will not last forever, but the power of music, the power of love, the memories will last forever.
This anime truly changed my life the way it used to be. After all the events I got, I have to carry on. Seeking for tomorrow. Kaori Miyazono said “Whether you’re sad, you’re a mess, or you’ve hit rock bottom, you still have TO PLAY! That’s how people like us survive.” It is the most simple quotes but yet so powerful how I have to carry on in this life. My life is still a long journey. Our life is still a long journey. During our journey, sometimes we encounter good things and bad things. Something full of happiness or sorrowful. A great tales and legends. “Mozart’s telling us from up the sky… “Go on a journey,” he’s saying.” Kaori's quote strikes again. “Maybe there's only a dark road up ahead. But you still have to believe and keep going. Believe that the stars will light your path, even a little bit.” "I'm glad it was you."
Overall this anime considered masterpiece. The only flaws anime to do so. The characters are beautiful and well development. The sound of music. Pure of harmony and beauties. Overall, truly outstanding. For those who love music and beautiful romance. Watch this. No questions asked. Here you will witnessing the true beauties of music and how music can affect human lives. "Lets go on a journey!"

When I first heard this anime, it is a strange thing to see from what I saw. A chibi looking characters having a bizarre journey to the some kind of hole. What kind a hole is it? This kind of hole reminds me Kola Superdeep Borehole. One of the most deepest artificial points on earth. Although it is unknown what inside on it. Perhaps its empty. People sometimes call it 'The Well to Hell' although it is hoax. However people still believing it this urban legend from years to years. Since many people still unable to reach deep in the surface. Due it is very
...
deep, and the temperature reaches 180°C. Sometimes geological anomalies were found.
This makes people having an open suggestion. Open interpretation. What is this? Is this a gateway to hell? Or what we call it Abyss? When I first heard this anime once again, I was kind like, "An anime about hell? Wow so cool!" But my thoughts were wrong. Abyss wasn't a place where we heard it from bible, Quran, or something about our religion tells what it looks like. Abyss, it was a mysterious hole that connect to the underworld. In underworld, many strange phenomena were found. From creatures, plants, all other strange living things, relics, and of course, a treasure. Since Abyss is the hole that contains source of life, people can go deep into Abyss. Those people call it Divers. The more deeper, the more impossible to get out. The best and bravest of the Divers, the White Whistles, are hailed as legends by those who remain on the surface.
Here we know Riko. The most annoying character that I see, having a dream that one day, she could swim to Abyss in order to search her mom who already known for the missing White Whistle, The Annihilator and wishes to become like her mother and explore the furthest reaches of the Abyss. Since she is a Red Whistle. It is impossible to reach deep into the Abyss. However, she then discovers a strange humanoid robot. She then called it Reg. Reg reminds me HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey. However its feeling more human nature that sometimes I'm always thinking is it a boy? It even have *cough* pen*s *cough*. It is very emotional robot. It even cry that make me shed to tears. It has the most emotional impact of the story. So lets change it from 'it' to 'he'. Yes, he is a boy. The only thing that artificial is his hands, his helmet, and maybe his eyes. It remains a mystery. Where is he come from? My speculation leads to the Abyss. Considering his hand could be multifunctional. From shooting to lengthening the hand. He is the most useful tool for Riko to explore the Abyss. And so the adventure begins. There will be many events and tragedies during the journey. Journey to the center of the Earth. Explores the mythical creatures, artifacts, and other. And of course it is an amazing anime.
This anime almost reaching my true score of masterpieces. 10/10!! But since the journey unfinished, I can't rate it higher. Currently waiting for season 2. I'm hoping it will not being a disappointment. And one thing for sure, the soundtrack is AMAZING!!! 10/10!! It makes the story soo touching, thrilling, and feel the sense of adventure. An unexpected journey and others. A truly must watch for you if you love adventures. The journey is about to begin...

I've already seen the movie but somehow it didn't satisfied me. It has a little flaws that make me curious how is the original ending look like. So I'm starting to read the manga to see the differences. And yes I saw something what I didn't saw in the movie.
Koe no Katachi or basically a Silent Voice tells you how do you feel when one day. You woke up and no longer can hear anyone. It's sad isn't it? You wish you could hear for one last time but God forbids you. Of course all that you can do is sincere and accept your life
...
as it is. In Javanese we call it "legowo". But life isn't easier to do. People sometimes see it as a treat. Like, "I don't want to do this." "I don't want to live like this." Why is this happening? Is life is a treat? Or something? Humans basically want to live perfectly. Have a good grades, have a lot of friends, being respected by other, have a good job title, live a life so healthy and many others. But there are no perfect humans in the world. You should know that God create humans fairly and equally. So that humans can learn how to respect each other. But not all humans want to learn that way. Those who tend to dislike something will bashing or insult something that is said to be imperfect. Hence born hatred. In this case, what happens when a community who disrespect something imperfectly? They will bullied it.
Ishida Shouya. Once he is a boy who hate a boredom. Often wants to find something new, challenging, and thrilling experience. He call it the "courage test". This led the readers to know that he is "A boy full of sensation. Live among dangerously adventures." And of course he hates something imperfectly. One day he met a new student who fortunately deaf. Nishimiya Shouko. A beautiful girl joining a classroom. As child most of them didn't like her. Especially Ishida. He treats her like a tool to alleviate his boredom. Another challenging experience - this girl. As time goes. Bullies is something that Nishimiya consumed. What makes me cry that Nishimiya understand what "legowo" is. She even accept bullies with a smile. Something that Ishida displeased. One day, they're engaged with fights that makes Nishimiya leaves the school. Then karma attacks Ishida. So deeply with a sharply cut blade sword. Leaving him no friends, no one respect him. Leaving him live in an adventure quest in order to forgive what is already done in the past. Especially Nishimiya Shouko. Is not an easy task because everybody hates him. And he wishes to want befriends with anyone once again. Not everyone accept forgiving. A new challenge for Ishida Shouya to find a path to redemption.
This manga tells you that bullying isn't a right thing. It tells you how important to respect everyone else. Especially forgiving. Forgiving is easy but somehow people did not want to accept it. People often cursed what a person has done in the past. People love to find someone mistake, but not with a kind that someone has done to them. All the characters contradict with their opinions. In the end. This manga is tell you how beautiful to forgiving others. A simple act that brings many benefits to everyone.
A very well done story by Yoshitoki Ooima. I'm actually loved manga more than the movie because the story and the characters develop well. I recommend you should read the manga first. And then the movie.

Oh my God! My eyes!! The art is very beautiful. A very well done work by Makoto Shinkai. But sadly, the story is just, well, just a good story. But what makes this film very good is the art. I repeat! Is the art!
I never seen an anime that have a very detailed art and drawing. Even the water in the lake is look like vey real. Am I watching an anime or something beyond an anime? The city, the train (Yamanote line the train itself is very detailed), the people, and of course, the park. Everything is draw perfectly. Such a green forest. So
...
beautiful. I'm actually astonished.
But the story is just well a good one and a bit unique. Yes. Because of love. Love doesn't perceive difference of ages, races, beliefs and others. And of course the love of rain. The story is focused with rain. What's your feeling when you see a rain? Or hearing it? It's calm, relaxing. Some people like me might enjoyed rain, some might not. But why the story is focused with rain? And the main character is also enjoying the rain. Yes, because rain is something peaceful and relaxing also depicted something about loneliness. Is it? Maybe. This story is about a young teenager Takao Akizuki. An ordinary student with his dream to become an aspiring shoemakers. And yes, he's enjoying the rainy seasons. And then he ecounters a beautiful, mysterious, an unemployment(?) woman who fortunately enjoys the rain. They both met each other and so on. As the story goes on for just 46 minutes (wow that is short. It could be just a special episode.) They seem to falling in love to each other and surprisingly that mysterious woman is actually his teacher. What is actually happening?
This movie deplores about unusual love with rain as a main theme of the story. They both loves rain and even wishes that they could meet each other one day in a rainy season. Rain is something impactful aspect for their lives. And of course why this movie is a bit unique. The rain itself is a poem of the story.
The music. The score mostly composed with piano so you can feel the ambiance, the nuance of rain. It's so peaceful and calm. A great ED. Of course this is a well enjoyment.
Overall this is a very good movie. Especially if you a fan of Makoto Shinkai films. After watching Kimi no Na wa. You might want to watch this...

Such an outstanding story.
Death Note. It tells you what happen, when a person discovered it. A book that can actually kill people. Instantly. The decision is on your hand. You can control the world. Or destroying it.
The series itself is not just have a dark or gloomy story, but also engaged you to roll up your minds. Somehow can make you feel tense. The protagonist Light Yagami however, is not what protagonist look like. So does L. In the end it can conclude on one sentence. "As clever as squirrels jump, will surely fall."
The art itself provided a gloomy, dark, a dystopian city, just
...
like the series. So it might annoys you. But overall that makes this series great.
The soundtrack provided a thrilling experiences, however I didn't like the OP and ED. It so annoys and wreck my ears.
The character, yes. I cannot say if there is any character development. The MC provides an enigma. You have to know what happens in front of you. Yet is not an easy task but surely make you think twice or thrice. I think it's fair but it is enough to really enjoy this show.
Overall it was great anime. 9/10. Since it has minor flaws but yes it is very enjoyable show. Especially if you like mind games or thrilling and dark show. This show is for you.
