Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt had to be one of the most enjoyable, unique anime I have stumbled upon. However it is not for the easily disturbed conservative. To me it most resembles a more adult humored version of the Powerpuff Girls and the random scattered nature of Fooly Cooly. It pushes the boundaries towards hentai without any nudity or sex actually shown. The stories are short, two 10 minute chapters in each episode. Everyone one of them had me laughing at some point from the exaggerated reactions and ridiculous stories. Some moments had me awkwardly uncomfortable that I could watch such perverted humor and ... still find it funny, but I even enjoyed those moments. The last episode left me hanging and I can't wait for another season (assuming what the cliffhanger it ended with was leading to another season)

The style is a unique comic book style, again that I can only relate to the Powerpuff Girls. It was simple, unlike the usual detailed style of anime, but was visually fun with hugely exaggerated shapes and lines creating detailed chaos as hectic crazy stories unfolded. The soundtrack had some killer tunes that made you want to dance and feel bad ass at the same time. The dubbing however, as usual, had chosen the most frustrating of voice actors, I recommend watching the subbed over the dubbed English. They rarely get English voice actors correct in my opinion when it comes to anime so I wasn't expecting anything here.

The characters were wonderfully constructed, Panty the badass slutty angel, Stocking the goth girl with an epic sweet tooth, Garter the black afro priest with a fetish for kink. Stocking's design had to be my favorite, just because I tend to like things on the darker side while I loved Panty's sass. Garter was humorous as a character that was everything he shouldn't be.

If you're looking for a laugh, and can stand overly perverted humor, borderlining on taking it too far and becoming hentai then this anime will do ya just fine.
