As someone who lives very close to Fujisawa, the art of this anime is really excellent. Other reviews cover all other bases, but I'll be focusing in on some day-to-day living in Japan stuff this series does incredibly well.
For anyone wondering, the green train in the opening is the Enoden line, one of the most famous hallmarks of Fujisawa-shi. The island in the background where you can see a tower is Enoshima, future site of the 2020 Olympic sailing competition. The stations seen in this series are all real places--they're easy to recognize from having been there even once, the art is so exact.

This story was very cute and quite concise, in a good way, at 8 chapters. One thing that really stuck out to me was the background art--normally it's quite generic in these sorts of short manga, but it was very detailed. Detailed enough that as someone who lives in Kanagawa Prefecture, I was immediately able to place 9 out of 10 backgrounds to a specific location! Most of this manga takes place in Kamakura, though the Enoshima Aquarium makes a cameo as well.
Overall, it's a sweet, short story that did quite well for its premise of a character looking like the other's dead lover. ... |
