This is my first review on this website. I originally came upon this manga while looking at the Fall 2020 seasonal chart. My initial reaction was "Oh cool, a seasonal anime with a pretty nice and fluffy premise, but I think Kamisama ni Natta Hi by Jun Maeda will be better though", and I thought nothing more of it. However, once I decided to read source material before hand, I started reading this first. Once I started I couldn't stop. It just warms your heart to the point of breaking.
Story - 9
The story for this manga is relatively simple, it having slice-of-life elements and all.
...
However, the simplistic plot allows for some of the most heartwarming and charming scenes I have ever seen. From watching the couple adjust to living as a couple to trying to make each other as happy as possible, it shows how their relationship strengthens and grows. Along with the comedy, which acts more as fluffy dialogue to make you swoon, the plot captivates you.
Art - 9
The art in this manga definitely hit the balance between detailed and simple. It focuses on everything important, while decluttering extra details. This gives you the sense that you are watching an anime, as usually the art has a similar style to this. It's relaxing to read this, as you aren't washed away on minute details that only make it worse to read the manga on a tiny phone.
Characters - 10
The characters are probably some of the best that I have ever seen in manga. Usually most characters heavily rely on tropes and don't put much thought into their MCs, but this anime doesn't. The characters are more understanding of what it means to be in a relationship, and understand give and take well. You can detect real emotions from them, like being jealous or flustered. They aren't as dense as a potato and tsunderes, and instead are relatable to us. As well as that, their relationship developed, from being much more modest and unsure of what to do to more intimate and loving. There are no real tropes being used as the model of these characters, it feels real.
Enjoyment - 10
This manga constantly had me smiling and I couldn't get enough of it. The story is immensely enticing and simple that I became entranced. The comedy of this manga mad me laugh less and more made my heart mush as I was drowned in how sweet the characters were with each other. Whenever they got flustered or were pampered I fawned over them like I was watching my own child live their marriage. It felt like I was reading Clannad After Story without the drama focusing on their relationship. It felt like drinking a hot chocolate on a cold winter day. Soothing and warm, I eagerly waited for the next chapter.
Overall - 10
The worst part of this manga was definitely waiting for the anime adaptation. Watching Nasa and Tsukasa's relationship from first meet to second honeymoon was so comforting I nearly cried when I saw I finished catching up to the latest chapter. It is so light and fluffy I read it twice in a day, This manga was all about understanding to love each other,
