I can think of few ways in which the story this series tries to tell could be told with more grace and warmth. There are few series to which I return as frequently as I do Ouran, with each watch still feeling as fresh and special as the first time I watched it as a child back in 2007.

Beautiful stories with a variety of frames, perfect for a rainy afternoon viewing.
I feel as if i had the perfect setting for thie show, which may be lending itself towards the high score it received. I watched Kita e after dinner on Valentine's day, with a backdrop of rain on a cool night. It's one of those shows that is great for watching lazily with a partner, or even as something to have on in the background while you go through your day. Beautiful, refreshing, and very real; I knew I would enjoy this series from the description, but to see it play out with its beautifully strange use of photography and live-action blended with charming characters really made me fall in love with this show. It's slow, soft, and nuanced in its approach to subjects of longing and infidelity, and overall I personally felt it handled these topics with a lot of grace and empathy. It really does feel like episode plots were pulled from people's diary entries, and that's always going to be my favourite feeling from a show like this.

Ristorante Paradiso is the series that I have been waiting to find.
It's easy to say that this is a slow-paced series with a particular niche. However, to describe the initial catch of Ristorante Paradiso, it being a story revolving around the lives of older bespectacled men in Rome, doesn't begin to touch the truly pleasant, refreshing energy emanating from every shot and line of dialogue this show provides.
