Hajime No Ippo is an anime series that stands out for its simplicity and captivating characters, especially the protagonist, Ippo Makunouchi. Ippo is a straightforward and humble young man, making it easy to root for his success throughout the series. His journey as a novice boxer is filled with challenges and personal growth, which makes his story engaging and inspiring.
One of the most intriguing dynamics in the series is the relationship between Ippo and his gym mate, Takamura. Takamura serves as a mentor and father figure to Ippo, bringing a unique humor to the series with his extravagant and sarcastic personality. The interaction between these
...
two characters is both funny and touching, striking a perfect balance of comedy and character development. Aoki and Kimura are also super funny and likeable characters.
The anime excels in balancing different narrative elements. The transition between episodes focused on the characters' daily lives, intense training and buildup for fights, and the actual boxing matches is well-executed. The slice of life moments add depth to the characters, while the buildup to the fights creates anticipation for the main confrontations.
Moreover, Hajime No Ippo skillfully blends lighthearted moments with more serious themes. The humor in the series is well-placed and never feels out of context, "anatomy" jokes inclusive. On the other hand, the series also realistically and emotionally portrays the challenges and hardships faced by a boxer, adding layers of depth to the narrative.
Another notable aspect of Hajime No Ippo is its ability to develop even secondary characters in a captivating manner. Ippo's opponents are more than just adversaries; they are well-developed characters, each with their own motivations and background stories. It's surprising how the series manages to evoke empathy for these opponents, and often we find ourselves rooting for them even when they stand on the opposite side of the ring. When some of these opponents face defeat, it's not uncommon to feel a pang of sadness for them, witnessing the temporary end of their own aspirations.
This ability to humanize even the most peripheral characters is a testament to the creators of Hajime No Ippo in building a rich and engaging world where every character, regardless of their role in the main plot, contributes significantly to the emotional experience of the audience.
Overall, Hajime No Ippo is a series that captivates audiences not only with its thrilling action scenes and drama but also with its knack for developing genuine and engaging characters, making it an exciting and memorable experience for anime and sports fans alike.

If I had to describe Cowboy Bebop in a single sentence I would say "An Unforgettable Journey through Space".
Cowboy Bebop is a masterpiece that transcends the anime genre, offering a unique and memorable experience. Despite its episodic structure, each episode is skillfully crafted, captivating viewers with engaging narratives and deeply intriguing characters.
One of the series' strongest points lies in its characters. Spike, in particular, emerges as one of the most charismatic and captivating protagonists in the world of anime. With his carefree attitude, unparalleled combat skills, and a mysterious past, Spike captivates viewers from the moment he appears on screen. His magnetic presence is one
...
of the pillars that sustains the irresistible charm of Cowboy Bebop.
In addition to Spike, each member of the Bebop crew contributes to the richness of the story. From the cynical and astute Jet to the enigmatic and seductive Faye, each character is skillfully developed throughout the series, revealing deeper layers of their personalities and motivations. Particularly noteworthy is Faye's development throughout the series as she confronts her past and struggles to find her place in the world.
One of the most striking and well-executed episodes is "Ballad of Fallen Angels." This episode exemplifies the brilliance of Cowboy Bebop, combining thrilling action, an intriguing plot, and an engaging soundtrack to create a truly unforgettable experience.
Furthermore, the unique fusion of elements from different genres such as noir, western, and science fiction contributes to the singularity and appeal of Cowboy Bebop. This eclectic blend of styles results in a work that is both familiar and innovative, captivating a wide range of audiences.
In summary, Cowboy Bebop is much more than just an anime. It is an exciting and multifaceted journey through space, filled with unforgettable characters, engaging stories, and an incomparable atmosphere. This series continues to inspire and delight viewers, establishing itself as a timeless classic that will endure for generations.

Dragon Ball is a masterpiece that has endured for decades, and it's not hard to see why. The anime has spectacular fights that leave viewers glued to the screen and iconic villains, especially Freeza.
Vegeta has, in my opinion, the best character development I‘ve ever seen, going from a ruthless Saiyan to a family man while keeping his pride intact.
And who can forget the mythical transformation into Super Saiyan? A landmark in pop culture, this transcendent evolution is one of the most iconic moments in the series, taking battles to a whole new level.
Besides Vegeta the anime has a lot of other great characters like Gohan,
...
Goku, Piccolo, Muten Roshi, etc.
It's no wonder that Dragon Ball is considered the progenitor of anime classics like Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. Its unmistakable influence is evident not only in these anime series, but also in many more. Dragon Ball's legacy as the patriarch of modern shonen anime is undeniable, shaping the genre and inspiring countless creators.

Naruto is my favorite anime so this review will be a long one.
If I had to describe Naruto in just one sentence, I would say, "An Epic Journey of Ninjas, Friendship, and Self-Discovery."
This masterpiece not only offers epic and thrilling battles but also presents rich and profound character development, engaging storytelling, and a lasting message of perseverance and friendship. As someone who grew up following Naruto, this journey was more than just an anime - it was a fundamental part of my own growth journey.
Let's start with the fights. Naruto is widely recognized for its intense and exciting battles, skillfully choreographed and full of thrilling
...
twists. From the epic clashes between Naruto and Sasuke to battles against threats like Pain and Madara, each fight is an action masterpiece that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
However, the true heart of Naruto lies in its character development. Throughout the series, we witness the growth and evolution not only of the protagonist but also of a diverse cast of characters such as Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi, each with their own emotional struggles and journeys. In particular, Naruto's transformation from an undisciplined and lonely kid into a full-grown man and hero is inspiring and emotional. His dream of becoming Hokage is not just a personal ambition but a testament to the power of hard work and determination to overcome adversity. His unwavering determination and indomitable spirit serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for viewers, teaching valuable lessons about hard work, friendship, and self-discovery along the way.
Furthermore, Naruto is rich in universal themes such as love, loss, redemption, and sacrifice. Moments of humor and camaraderie are balanced with moments of great emotion and drama, creating a truly captivating and multifaceted viewing experience.
The fact that I grew up following Naruto makes this journey even more meaningful to me. As Naruto faced challenges and overcame obstacles, I was also going through my own experiences of growth and learning. Through his struggles and triumphs, I found inspiration and courage to face real-life challenges.
In summary, Naruto is more than just an anime - it's an exciting and inspiring journey that resonates deeply with viewers. If you haven't watched it yet, I encourage you to embark on this life-changing adventure.

In a vast ocean of anime, few manage to capture the pure essence of adventure like One Piece. From its thrilling beginning to its most recent arcs, the series continues to captivate me with its incomparable sense of exploring unknown islands, facing imminent dangers, and forging bonds as strong as steel among crewmates.
The sense of adventure in One Piece is really immersive. The Straw Hat Pirates' journey through the Grand Line is an emotional rollercoaster, full of highs and lows, yet always keeping the flame of adventure alive. From the imposing Grand Line to the exotic and surreal islands, the world of One Piece is
...
vast and diverse.
One of the most captivating aspects of One Piece is the sense of belonging to the Straw Hat crew ( we really do feel like a "nakama"), known for their indomitable bond of camaraderie. The element of mystery is skillfully implemented throughout One Piece's narrative, keeping viewers eager for more with each twist and turn. From the enigmatic Poneglyphs to the secrets of the World Government and the true story behind the legendary One Piece, the anime maintains a veil of secrecy that keeps fans speculating and theorizing endlessly.
However, despite all these positives, I cannot ignore the main point of criticism: the slow pacing of the anime, especially in the more recent arcs. While the careful world-building and character development are admirable, there are moments when the pacing feels sluggish, testing the patience of even the most dedicated fans. This is undoubtedly the only reason why I don't rate One Piece a perfect rating of 10/10.

One of the most exciting features of Hunter x Hunter is the sense of adventure we get from it. From dense forests to bustling cities, we are taken on an exhilarating journey through richly detailed worlds. With each story arc, we are introduced to new challenges, unexplored territories, and fascinating characters, fueling curiosity and the desire to discover more about this vast and complex universe.
The power system, known as Nen, is one of the brightest facets of Hunter x Hunter. Its complexity and creativity elevate the series to a higher level. From elemental manipulation to unique abilities and brilliant combat strategies, Nen offers an infinity
...
of possibilities, allowing characters to explore and develop their powers in unique and unpredictable ways.
At the heart of this epic journey are Gon and Killua, whose friendship is one of the emotional pillars of the series. The bond between the two is deep and genuine, showing how friendship can overcome any obstacle. Whether fighting side by side or supporting each other in moments of difficulty, the relationship between Gon and Killua is one of the most touching and inspiring aspects of Hunter x Hunter and animes in general.
Moreover, Hunter x Hunter's narrative structure is truly unique. Instead of a single main character, each story arc highlights a different character, offering a multifaceted perspective of the world and allowing each to shine in their own journey. Whether it's Kurapika fighting against the Phantom Troupe or Gon searching for his father, each character adds fascinating layers to the overall narrative.
The saddest part about this masterpiece is the real possibility that we will never be able to see its end.

Rurouni Kenshin is an exciting journey through 19th century Japan, full of action, intrigue, and redemption.
One of the greatest strengths of the manga is its cast of rich and complex characters. Kenshin, with his gentle nature and unparalleled swordsmanship, is a captivating protagonist whose journey of redemption engages the reader. Secondary characters like the astute Hajime Saito and the enigmatic Shishio Makoto are equally memorable, each adding additional layers to the story.
In addition to the characters, the narrative of Rurouni Kenshin has deep themes such as justice, sacrifice, and forgiveness. Watsuki delves into the moral complexity of the Meiji Restoration period, exploring the dilemmas faced
...
by those who fought during this tumultuous time.
Watsuki's art perfectly complements the story, blending intricate details with dynamic action sequences. The sword battles are expertly choreographed, capturing the intensity and emotion of the moment.
However, combat is not the primary focus. The manga also features moments of humor, romance, and introspection, skillfully balancing the elements to create a complete and engaging experience. There are intense moments of suspense where it seems like Kenshin may break his vow not to kill, and we find ourselves fervently hoping that does not happen, adding an additional layer of tension and emotion to the narrative.
The ending is good, providing emotional closure for the characters and the story as a whole. We see Kenshin finally achieve the peace he has long sought, alongside Kaoru, and it is hard not to feel a sense of gratitude and satisfaction witnessing his growth throughout the series.

Dororo got me hooked right from the very first chapter.
Although this manga is almost 50 years and its art style it's kinda of old fashioned I think that it brings some charm to it.
The characters are likeable, (especially Dororo), the demons' design is really cool and the stories are great.
The story follows a really simple narrative. Dororo and Hyakkimaru reach a new village where a monster lays. They defeat the monster and Hyakkimaru gets back one body part. Even though it follows a "Monster of the week" approach I never felt that the manga was repetitive (and I am not a fan of monster of
...
the week format). Besides that, the manga doesn't follow the "happy ending" cliche ( sometimes Hyakkimaru and Dororo are expelled from the village, a character dies, etc).
The reason why I don't rate Dororo 10/10 is because in the second half of the series it feels like the author was rushing to finish the story. The end was not bad but it could be way better and it left the impression that there was still a lot to explore.
