Propaganda. Its a very interesting thing, subversive and yet targeted and overt at the same thing. Propaganda doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, we can have positive propaganda. But, at the end of the day, once the consumer of the propaganda realizes what they've been fed, it can leave a very bad taste in their mouths.

Ao no Flag was one of the most immersive and ground breaking manga I've ever read, with amazing art and deep characters, and extremely deep relationships. It was well on its way to a 9 or 10 rating (rare for me) until literally the final 2 chapters. ... I'm not going to spoil here, but essentially the whole story and pace of the narrative is flipped on its head for some kind of political statement. Again, I agree with messaging being pushed, but to really lead reader on for years, and then to shove this horseshit in our faces at the last minute, is just inexcusable.

If you are going to read this, and don't want to feel a severe sense of disappointment, confusion, and then anger, do yourself a favour and stop at chapter 52 and leave the rest to your imagination.

I'ma keep this short cause I'm lazy and so are you. No spoilers.

This season was pretty good, thought not as good as the last 2 in my opinion, for only one reason. Time skips. There seems to be some relatively important stuff being passed over, obviously so they can fit enough material into the 12 episode anime block (don't know if they flesh it out in the manga but I imagine they do) but it still gives you that longing to figure out what you missed. Other than that its the same beautiful art, dynamic characters, amazing fighting scenes, and godtier music. I'm going ... to put up a 9, even thought its like a 9.7, just because saying its 10 wouldn't be justified.

Listen, was this a tropefest, literally pulling tactics out of the is SAO book verbatim? No doubt. But damn why can't people like shit without having to worry about every single thing that was taken from a previous anime. Even if it is, for all intensive purposes, 99% intellectual property theft, it doesn't mean its bad in principle.

I enjoyed this shit, even with all its un-originality. If you turn your mind off and just TRY and enjoy it, I think you could have a good time. I know I did. But what do I know, I'm just some internet ... guy. You do you, I'll do me.

There isn't really much to say about this anime other than its basically a continuous alcohol ad. I'm not being hyperbolic, every episode had a recipe for some sort of alcoholic drink. I'm guessing some alcohol company funded this anime because if not its just really sad. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that this is actually an anime. The barely existent story is about as flavourless as could possibly be, and is extremely repetitive. The exact same thing happens every single episode. Why did I watch all 13 episodes, I'm still asking myself that. If you want to get ... some new drink recipes I would recommend this to you but if you want to watch an actual anime and not a commercial, I'd look elsewhere.

There is absolutely no way people can be as clueless and absolutely pathetic as these kids are. It's impossible. The amount of trivial misunderstandings in this anime is criminal. Every single conflict could easily be solved with a normal civilized conversation, with questions being asked between two people for clarification of what they meant.

I understand the whole "highschooler logic" thing where everyone gets confused and they don't understand emotions and whatever. But come on. This is going way too far.

Other than the inept communication ability of all the main characters, the anime is alright. Art is good, music is fine, the plot is ... fine too. The communication factor is just too big a problem for me to enjoy it.

I'll keep this short and sweet because everyone here must have seen Berserk (2016).
It's basically the exact same, except the pacing problems have gotten better. There really isn't too much too say, the CGI art is trash, but if you have read the manga you'll take what you can get. Obviously the ending is incomplete because the manga continues on much much further, and is still ongoing.
I'd say don't watch this if you haven't read the manga, because it will confuse you and will be the least bit enjoyable. For me I love seeing manga come to life through animation even if it ... isn't the best so I did enjoy it to a degree, and overall will give it a 7.

So I've just watched the seventh episode, and decided I absolutely had to write a review of this masterpiece... so far.

Story(10): This is the part that shines I believe, the use of mystery in the plot so that the characters know things the audience doesn't, and it is revealed after an event is amazing. The amount of jaw dropping twists that have happened so far just makes the show so much more enjoyable, as it builds up the drama and then pours everything out at once. The pacing this season is perfect. Nothing is too drawn out but just long enough to show its ... relevance to the series overall, and to keep it enjoyable at the same time. Finally the fight scenes, wow. Most won't realize that all of the stances and grappling that goes on, are actual fighting stances mixed martial artist use. They could have just put monsters fighting like they always do in anime, but to go that extra step and show the different positions shows some serious commitment to go the extra mile, and personally the fights seem must better because of it.

Art(10): Sublime art, I'd say even better than the first season. The detail in the eyes and facial expressions is in a category of its own as far as I'm concerned. And just from a directing standpoint the angles and shots that are drawn are perfect, exacerbating the intensity of each situation.

Sound(10): The music is amazing, just the the first season. The use of choirs creates a feeling of euphoria and excitement, which just adds to the overall enjoyment of the anime.

Characters(9): Another category in which the character development is a step above. The focus has been taken off of Eren and spread around to the secondary characters which thickens the plot because of their mysterious connection, which wasn't even hinted at in the first season. Getting into the characters heads trying to understand what their thinking, and looking back at their behaviour before and how it relates to their current position makes the viewer think harder and mentally stimulates you more than basically every shonen anime out there. Also The real moral dilemmas that develop are superb. The only reason this category is a 9 is because of the lesser focus, and therefore, not as much development on the main characters. Though this is only do to time constraints of developing the other characters, and is only the 7th episode so it could pick up before the end.

Enjoyment(10): If you have gotten this far you probably can tell how much I've enjoyed AoT season 2.

Overal(10): Outstanding series, outstanding season, just please watch it and try and enjoy it rather than search for every little error, just because you don't like how much everyone else loves this series.
