7.5/10
My final rating for this series is 7.5, but after a lot of thinking I decided to round it up to 8. I didn't expect to like IDOLiSH7 as much as I did!
For an anime about idols, this one focuses more on certain characters rather than the idol plot. Of course, there was some more spotlight on, for example, Riku and Soga, but I found all of the boys quite likeable (especially Nagi. He's great.). I am not particularly attached to any of them but hell, it's a good series. The team experiences a lot of ups and downs throughout, as well as their own
...
personal drama, which keeps the show interesting.
My only complaints are that the rise to fame seemed too quick and the pacing was odd at the beginning. Some tropes are a bit cliché but in a good way. The 3D segments were clunky and awkward, but some of the shots were impressive (I felt like I was playing Enstars at some point).
Would I recommend this one? Yeah! Will I watch the second season? Yup. I heard it has better rantings than this one which is a good sign. I won't rush to get it done, but I'll gladly enjoy watching some more.

If you don't enjoy filler episodes, I see how you could end up disliking this show (especially in the second half of the season). Luckily for me, slice of life is my favorite anime genre and characters having fun is the best thing in the world. Anya is so wholesome and will absolutely warm your heart, and so will many other characters present; there's not one I hate which is rare.
This series has a good balance of silliness and ridiculousness paired up with some sweet moments. It has some questionable tropes and I wouldn't say the animation is great, but I like it nonetheless.
...
The episodes felt short and after watching 25 of them, I still felt like it was only 16 or so. Overall, I'd recommend. Definitely waiting for season 2.

So I've finally watched Barakamon and I did enjoy it more than I thought I would.
It's a simple, lighthearted show about a calligraphist being sent away to an island as some sort of a 'punishment', learning how to live well, meeting new, charming characters along the way. It's about a journey to discover yourself- and a reminder not to get too lost in your work. To appreciate people who care about you, and to give the love you receive from them back. The anime took the 'found family' trope and created something special.
If you're looking for an intense, action-filled plot, you won't find that in
...
Barakamon. Every episode has its own theme and there are just a few motives that connect throughout the duration of the show. It's not like I mind- it fits the narrative!
The characters are great. They feel real; like people you could actually stumble upon. Naru is really adorable, and I like the main character a lot, too! He's more complex than you would expect. I am glad the writers of the show did not make him flat and one-dimensional. He's a little egoistic and spoiled, but not a bad person overall. The character development we, as viewers, see him go through, is quite captivating.
The animation was pretty good as well, although I do feel like it had gotten a little lazy and inconsistent towards the end of the anime. It's not a big issue, not that noticeable either. The music is not spectacular, but it doesn't matter to me. The stock sound effects hidden here and there made me smile a couple of times.
I feel like there are some things the show could expand upon, but decided not to bother with them. I cannot blame them; maybe it's not a show for that. Whenever the episode got a little bit too serious, there would be a funny situation to let all the tension out right after. The ending wasn't too dramatic, but incredibly heartwarming. I can see Barakamon becoming a comfort anime of many due to its lovely atmosphere. I do recommend it!

I wish I could give this show more than a 6 out of literal pity.
I thought this anime would be perfect; I saw its fragments all over my social media and got soo excited! The characters seemed endearing, I took a liking to anime about sports, and the animation-- the colours, the flow... I was expecting to give SK∞ a solid nine or a ten, even!
Oh boy, was I disappointed.
The first few episodes were awesome, The relationship between Reki and Langa was a little rushed, but otherwise felt authentic; the series is also short enough that this was excusable. The show was... realistic, well,
...
as realistic as an anime can be (and stay interesting at the same time). Langa was quiet, but not excessively shy. Reki was enthusiastic, but not annoying. Cherry Blossom and Joe were a great comic relief while not losing their sense of individuality. Shadow was simply the best.
And then everything went downhill when Adam got introduced.
What SK∞ needed was NOT a cheap and cringy Hisoka rip-off. The anime crossed the subtle line between ridiculous and stupid; skateboarding tricks turned impossible, Langa's sudden skills became unbelievable; and all focus was on Adam. A bland, one-dimensional character. I apologize if I am getting too emotional, but I had such high hopes for this anime.
What's up with the pointless business plot and the ginger police lady? What's up with the glorification of toxic, slave-like relationships? (SPOILER: why did Adam's clearly unhappy 'friend', after planning to prove his worth, gave up on that and continued to be a slave to the rip-off Hisoka as if that was a positive thing?) And, most importantly, Adam's suggestive and flirty behaviour towards Langa, who is literally still a highschooler, was incredibly creepy. The scenes with these two, especially in the last episodes, were so fantasy-like I couldn't believe it.
At least Shadow wasn't that problematic. I do like Shadow and Reki the most. I like that Reki's conflicting emotions regarding Langa's questionable natural talent weren't brushed over.
Watch this anime. It's not that bad, I was just... disappointed. I'd be thankful for an OVA with more of a... 'slice of life' vibe.

Angel Beats! is such a nostalgic anime for me.
It was the second one that I've ever watched at the ripe age of 9, still in awe over Toradora. The atmosphere of this one proved to be completely different, but I quickly fell in love anyway.
Years later, I decided to give this anime a second chance to check if my childhood opinion would change. Unsurprisingly, it did- for worse.
Angel Beats! is still good, of course. The idea for the plot was incredible and had so, so much potential- sadly, I do not think the creators used it to its fullest. A school filled with raging
...
dead students and badass weapons? That got me /hooked/... But I feel like the simplicity was ruined by confusing plot points, especially the ones connected to the character of Ayato and Yuri's arc near the end. I feel like they would make more sense if the animators took their time with them, or at least introduced them earlier.
The characters are nice, quite cliche but hey, let's remember this anime is over a decade old. I wish their past lives were explored more thoroughly. Otonashi is a great protagonist & the one whose backstory I remembered the best because it moved me so much. Tenshi was pretty good as well, she wasn't annoying and kept the right balance of mystique and humanity.
Even the designs and animation are great! I know not a lot of people like Angel Beats!' artstyle, but I didn't mind it in the slightest. There were a few really funny moments, too.
The real gem of this anime is undoubtedly music. Even after years, I was still able to hum a few tunes from this show. I remember being a kid and falling asleep sobbing to "My Song". Good times.
Overall, I do recommend this anime. Watch this at least once in your life. I have a lot more thoughts regarding the show, but they'd all contain spoilers and I'd prefer to avoid that!

Hey, this one's pretty good!
I am not a sports fan in any way, I've always disliked PE classes and couldn't understand all the athletes at my school, so determined to train and exercise and... win. Haikyuu did help me see things from these kids' perspective and I'm very thankful for that.
The character design, especially for Hinata, is adorable. The animation is smooth, and while it does get slightly repetetive at times, it stays fucking cool to watch. The story gets tense every now and then and you cannot help but wonder- will they win? Will they lose? It keeps you entertained!
I expected Hinata and Kageyama's
...
relationship to be much worse and I wish the 'enemies-to-friends(?)' thing lasted a bit longer. Sure, these boys might not be besties, but the constant banter and teasing is mostly light-hearted. I expected it to be a major plot point, not just a background tool for the rest of the story.
Speaking of backgrounds- the background characters are so colorful and lovely! I like that interesting backstories were hinted at and possibly pursued in season two...? I hope so! None of them annoyed me; well, maybe expect for Oikawa, but I can recognize that he's a well-developed antagonist.
(Well, to be completely honest, the characters' unecessary, sappy and over-the-top speeches DID annoy me. There's so many of them in Haikyuu!!)
I am definitely going to keep watching Haikyuu; maybe not every single day, but it's a perfect anime for when you're tired after hours of work/school and need to relax in front of a laptop.

This is a curious case for me, to be quite honest. I expected something way different, something filled with more action and badass fight scenes, but I didn't really get that. The style wasn't my cup of tea, the characters don't look terrible, but I wouldn't call them pretty either. The story is a little all over the place, but overall- not that bad. I am glad to see 'taboo' topics like mental health and human trafficking being brought up in anime.
The opening was good. I'll give it that.
The relationship between the two main characters was okay, with some adorable moments happening there and
...
there. It made sense and didn't feel forced. I've got one more complaint, though- the series has 13 episodes and takes place over ~1 year, if I'm not mistaken... But it does feel like a week or two? I wish the creators made sure that the passage of time was more apparent.
Once again; I did not get attached. Aside from the two main characters, the rest was just there for plot progression. No good female characters either, sadly. I am probably going to forget the plot of Jie Yao in a week, but I did enjoy it, don't get me wrong. It's not amazing, but a good one for when you're bored.
Ah, and the cat was cute.

This is a very short story, with no blatant depth to it, but that's understandable considering it is barely an hour long. I wish the characters were more developed; I lack any attachment to them and couldn't bring myself to care about them. It's cute, yes, and has some adorable moments- but it relies a lot on popular clichés. What grossed me out is- beware, a spoiler- the storyline involving the teacher hitting on one of the students. The man faced no consequences- but why? That was creepy. I also didn't like how one of the main characters- the blond- couldn't take 'no' for an

answer most of the time.
It is not a must-watch in any way, shape or form, but a pretty good bl story for when you're bored. The visuals are pretty and the animation is smooth, I loved the watercolour-ish vibe going on. The sound design was on point as well.
