Devil May Cry 5: Visions of V

Sometimes it feels like DMC on itself got some inspiration from Devilman. Angelic or Greek/Roman/Christian aesthetics are depicted as deceptive in both worldbuildings, while making Demons more of troubled creatures rather than mindless zombies, despite their monstruous forms. The struggle between bestiality (demons) vs the mind and heart (humans) is real in both of these two. Without having played DMC you can take a look on Visions of V as a "standalone", however, it spoils the whole purpose of DMC5. Give this a try if you're willing to get into the games. Devilman has some BL going on and tells the story of the main demonic figure suffering the karmic consequences of being a heartless sociopath, while DMC is about the struggle of two twins who struggling accepting both their half demon and half human sides entirely. Visions of V is a main's POV during DMC5 and many flashbacks from childhood and his path towards self-destruction.
