Koihime Musou is a very light anime that doesn't requires the viewer to analyze much. At first, due to the way the characters act, the colors applied to the anime, and the different songs and sound effects that you get to hear, you think this anime is very childish and that it's directed to kids. However, this anime contains a lot of lesbian-like comments, jokes, scenes, and dialogues; at some point, if the director/writer would've wanted, this anime could even have turned into a hentai.
The story is very naive: a black-haired, martial artist teenager girl sets out on a journey to defeat all the bandits
...
she encounters and rid the world of evil, while having a younger girl tag along with her due to some circumstances. On the way of fulfilling their journey, they meet new fighters, some being rivals in some way and some being very friendly, and even tagging along with them.
Line art and animation is very good. I, personally, didn't like the colors applied since they seemed too childish and gave the impression that "everything's great and happy!", making the anime sillier than it already was with the story.
All the audio-related stuff regarding this anime was just alright, including voice acting. It was as good as needed in order for the series to run smoothly.
The way most of the characters act are somewhat based on the characters of the original Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (if you've seen Ikkitousen or read the novel, you might understand the characters of this series better). In Koihime Musou, however, they ALL act extremely childish (warning: they might get to your nerves, eventually). Also, all of the characters are female, except for the bandits and a couple of servants. It's funny how the bandits all look the same, yet every time they encounter each other (the main character and the bandits) it's as if they've never met before. Another thing is, why in God's name does each character have 3 or 4 names? Simplify things and help the viewer a little bit! To finish up with the characters, all of them used spears, except for maybe one or two sword-users; there are hundreds of weapons where to choose from, vary them a little!
The only reason i'd tell you to watch this anime is if you like watching lesbian-like situations going on between the characters; in other words, if you're an ecchi fan. If you don't like it, don't waste time and watch something else.

This episode is just a recap from episodes 1 to 17 of the original series, Monster. If you just recently finished watching those episodes, do not watch this or else you'll be bored.
It sums up the basic plot and storyline of the series, refreshing the viewer's mind with everything that has happened up to episode 17. There isn't much to say about this: it has the same good voice acting and songs from the series, together with the same art style. Character development is fairly explained in this summary, too. The story of the series itself is outstanding, but in this recap they omit too
...
many interesting scenes and twist of events that keep you in suspense while watching the real series.
It's not necessary at all to watch this. You've seen every scene of this recap in the real series. Actually, you might get bored re-watching it in this manner. Even so, it synthesizes the storyline fairly well.

The storyline of this hentai is very bad; it starts off with no real basis, and you can't quite understand what was going on at all.
An apparently mad scientist has been expelled from a researching institution due to his interest in "evolution". Some time later, he calls his ex-assisstant in order for her to go pay him a visit and see his new discoveries. He has, apparently, found the key to evolution in the human being (in my opinion, it would be more like a regression), and things have turned out for the worst... Watch it in order to know what happens (although you don't
...
need to be a genius to find out).
Art and animation in this series is nice, although it could have been perfected a bit more by applying better shadings and better colors.
Sound's alright. As usual, hentai producers only add sufficient sound as to get the episode going, not focusing much in this aspect.
Character development is almost null. A tiny bit is explained about the mad scientist and maybe a couple more characters; that's it.
Graphically, the hentai is fun to watch, with interesting scenes and shots. It could've been much better, though.
P.S.: For the producers, just because it's a hentai, it doesn't mean you don't have to come up with interesting stories! Come on, gives us hentai series with good, well-developed plots!

A mythology-based hentai, Angelium (at least slightly):
It's about how 3 angel apprentices undergo the "angel's test" in order to become full-fledged angels while having Zeus, their god and leader, present them sexual obstacles in the way. However, there's a hidden motif for Zeus's harsh training... But you'll have to find that out by yourself; I'm not spoiling it.
The mythological part I mentioned is that they base the characters in the Greek mythology: Zeus is married to his sister, Hera, but still has multiple relationships with other women, out of marriage. Hades is the god of the underworld, with his queen Persephone, and wants to gain
...
more power.
Art and animation is alright, the depiction of the female body is fun to watch (in any way you want to think of it), although it could've had more details and better shading techniques.
Sound is just fine, it doesn't excell in anything, neither in a bad way nor a good one.
Character development is very superficial. The main characters are left unexplained basically, and the secondary characters, you will only understand them if you have read about Greek mythology in the past.
Overall, the series is alright if you like hentai animes and sexual scenes. If hentai is not within your likings, don't bother.
P.S.: For the producers, just because it's a hentai, it doesn't mean you don't have to come up with interesting stories! Come on, gives us hentai series with good, well-developed plots!

Gekka Bijin, or Maison Plaisir, is a mediocre hentai story-wise:
It's about Seiichi Itoh, a new tenant in Miyuki's, the landlady, boarding house, and how he manages to find some hidden secrets related to his past, the landlady, the other residents, and the boarding house itself while living there. Obviously, the secrets are X-rated, but I won't spoil them for you.
Art and animation is pretty nice compared to all the other hentais out there. The depiction of the sexual scenes is pretty good overall, just like the drawings of the surroundings and the characters, per se.
Sound is decent, enough as to be listened to, at least.
Character
...
development... For being a 2-episodes hentai, it's decent. You get to know about the past of at least the main characters. It's not that their stories are very believable, but hey, it's a hentai so let's not expect much!
Overall, if you like hentai, you'll enjoy watching this series, at least for the sexual scenes (Uncensored, obviously).
P.S.: For the producers, just because it's a hentai, it doesn't mean you don't have to come up with interesting stories! Come on, gives us hentai series with good, well-developed plots!

This anime, just like Kite (from the same producers), is a very nice "hentai" packed with action and an interesting storyline.
The storyline is pretty simple and easy to understand, but it entertains the viewer enough as to want to keep on watching. The hentai part, the hardcore sex scenes, is just a bonus; you can watch the anime taking out the hentai part and the story will flow perfectly. Consider the sex scenes as an eye-candy for those who like watching hentai.
The art and animation is pretty nice. The 2 OVAs are packed with a lot of action scenes, and a couple of funny scenes,
...
too. Voice acting and sound effects are alright; they serve the purpose.
The character development is actually very poor; we get to know very little about the main characters. Anyhow, the characters were fun and unique, you could say.
I enjoyed watching this anime. If you're looking for a short, action-packed series, I recommend it to you, even if you don't like hentai (just skip those scenes, although they were a bit interesting).

Watching this series was painful, long, boring and tedious; I can hardly believe I endured until the end. This anime is just plainly too innocent, naive, happy, friendly, whatever you want to call it. The "problems" that are presented in the anime are all very dumb and not interesting, and the way the characters act is too childish. If you like fast-paced animes, with good action in it, you can stop reading this immediately and look elsewhere.
The story starts out with some mysterious "Neuroi" race that has appeared on Earth and has suddenly started attacking humans all around the world. That's about as much as
...
you get to understand about Neurois since, after the first episode, they appear spontaneously only to disturb some other, not-entertaining activity the witches were holding. They suddenly decide to keep developing the Neuroi story in the last two episodes of the series, but they just act as if they're getting somewhere, as if they're going to uncover and explain something new, just to leave the viewer expecting something that never happens.
Art is alright, it's better than many other anime series, but it's nothing astonishing; you can find the same art and animation quality, even better, in many other series.
Voice acting happens to be good, and the intro song might be just a little bit catchy, but it's nothing to be surprised or "touched" by. Sound effects are alright as well. It has a fairly good sound, overall.
I must admit that the characters are explained in a nice manner; you get to know a bit about everyone, enough as to understand them. However, the characters are all based on anime standards; in other words, every character in this series resembles some other character from another series. And, as stated before, they all act too childish; extremely childish. For some reason, too, female characters apparently hate wearing pants; they always hang around wearing panties and some shirt (although Perrine wears pantyhose, too).
This series lies in the borderline of "bad" and "just acceptable". I wouldn't invite anyone to see this anime, though; do so under your own risk (although it might be good to watch it at night, in order to fall asleep quickly).

This short OVA actually surpassed my expectations for it. First of all, it's not a hentai per se; it's an interesting story where corruption, murdering and sex merge, all of them being very explicit. After reading the synopsis, you might think you've watched this same plot before in other animes, but Kite presents it to you in it's own unique way, with a lot of interesting and unexpected turn of events.
The art is pretty good when compared in both decades, when it was aired and the present day; it adds to the mood of the anime. Sound effects and voice acting was acceptably good, just
...
the necessary to make things work.
Character development is presented in a very smooth manner, and by the end of the OVA you get to understand the main characters pretty well.
This "hentai" proved to be very nice. As I stated before, it surpassed my expectations and actually entertained me with a good storyline. Watch it.

The plot of this movie is very unique, original and interesting; it's a slow-paced anime, but with a very good storyline. It explains in details the situation the characters are undergoing and the actions they take. The only downside to the story is the ending. I won't explain why, but I just felt it leaves the viewer hanging.
The characters are introduced immediately, and some insight is given about who they are and why they are that way. There were some characters, that were somewhat important, that didn't get much background story, though.
Voice acting and music selection is good, helping set the mood in the movie.
...
The art was very good as well: highly detailed, simple, very colorful, great animations.
I enjoyed watching this movie; it actually surpassed my expectations on this film. I would recommend it.

This short OVA could've been better developed in a movie format, extending the 33 minutes to an hour, maybe; it might've been funner.
The story is interesting, although it is poorly explained, and too rushed. The newly introduced character, Baishin, is kinda interesting although it's not too original. It reminded me multiple times of Zaraki, since he can barely feel the slashes other people do to him. He has some interesting, unexplained techniques, but his story remains somewhat in the shadows (the basics are explained but with very little details). The rest of the characters are developed just as they are in the series, except maybe
...
in the comical scenes, where Renji is dressed up as a "cop", shooting bullets carelessly.
Art is just as good as the series, with very nice fight scenes and detailed characters and surroundings. Most of the sounds and songs, as well, are taken directly from the series; they're fine.
I must say that this short OVA made me laugh a couple of times (Zaraki's train-chasing was pretty funny), and entertained me overall. If you're already into Bleach, I'd say you should watch this OVA, specially if you're just now finishing the Soul Society arch in the series.
