Nisekoi

In both anime we have a nice guy protagonist in a school environment where he basically hangs out with girls. Each of the characters are very likable and have their own agenda for liking the MC. However, Mashiro-iro delves in deeper to the exploration of love and its consequences. In Nisekoi, most of the scenes are dedicated to comedy/fanservice.

Nisekoi

The school set-up is apparent in both anime, not to mention both are harem anime. The main protagonists(Kodaka for Haganai and Raku for nisekoi) have their own harem in which there are two main female leads. The rom-com in both are very entertaining and each character has their own special trait that stands-out from others. Both anmie also put a slight focus on character relationships while weaving in the casual fan-service.

White Album 2

These are probably the two most realistic love story/drama anime released in the past years. Both feature an MC that is primarily torn between two women and stuck in a dilemma on who he should choose. The main guy also knows that if he chooses one, the other will surely be hurt. White Album 2 and True Tears tackle very mature concepts about relationships. Although people did not seem to enjoy the resolution of both anime, I still firmly believe that the MC chose the route that he wanted.

D-Frag!

D-frag and Hyouka both have a central focus on an obscure school club that goes through adventures and bonding time. The MC in both shows are dragged around by the female lead. Finally, both shows do not really have a central story to them, just a group of friends going about their everyday life. However, in Hyouka, they have a more serious/mysterious atmosphere, while in D-frag, the things they go through are mostly for comedic value/entertainment.
